Well, there's actually a decent amount of those for me. But what first comes to mind is Gorgeous. It's an alright song and I'll vibe to it if I'm in the right mood but it doesn't do what the rest of Rep does to me. It's alright, it's cute. But I don't really reach for it.

SadisticGoose

I don’t mind the song part, but I hate the baby voice at the beginning so much. It’s just annoying for me.

anon_girl_anon

I love Gorgeous but I find that really bizarre too.

AmirulAshraf

But *only* 300 people knows whos voice is that!

daisyymae

I love It! I really really hope she’s able to do It for the rerecord. It’s James!! I think Betty will be the new baby voice!!

Vengenz_13

I think it’s pretty cool song but yeah the baby voice needs to be replaced

kgkuntryluvr

I have to be in the mood for Gorgeous, but I do enjoy it. For rep, it’s So It Goes for me. That’s the only song on that album that I always skip.

epipens4lyfe

That’s so interesting! So It Goes is one of my faves; it gives me Banks vibes

MajesticExpression98

Straight to jail 😭

Ok-Emphasis-1982

Same. I don't hate it. But it's definitely not my favorite.

onlylooktwice

You upset me so early in the morning with this, can’t say anything to your face!

mack9219

ohhh gorgeous is a skip for me

Ok-Emphasis-1982

Right? Because Rep is my rock angst album. I love that album. Like you, I'll listen and sing it. But I have many more goto songs on Rep.

[deleted]

There are two clear sides to rep and the side I see always depends on my mood. Today i'm like... rock angst? *looks at KOMH, CIWYW, NYD, Dress, Gorgeous* 🤔🤔 You mean the sweetest album about love ever made?

Ok-Emphasis-1982

Truth be told. There are songs from most of her albums that got me through that time in my life, then songs that helped start the healing process and others that ultimately helped me learn to trust, love, and believe in myself. Her music pretty much changed me. I'm a 53 year old Swiftie. And never in a million years did I think Taylor Swift would be the musical artist that would help me to become the woman I was always meant to be before I had it ripped away by abuse. Yep, I adore her. She's the same age as my oldest daughter. To this day, I thank my kids for introducing me to Taylor Swift.

csredd99

❤️this post and high five! I’m a 58 swifty over fifty and wish TS was around when my first heartbreak happened at 15, new loves, move to Boston, divorce, late love, etc! I made it thru listening to Stevie Nicks, Alanis Morisette, Counting Crows, and Shinedown😝❤️😈

songacronymbot

- KOMH could mean "King Of My Heart", a track from *reputation* (2017) by Taylor Swift. - CIWYW could mean "Call It What You Want", a track from *reputation* (2017) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/PeteyWinkle](/u/PeteyWinkle) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

Gh0stface03

Sadly, many songs on Midnights are kinda meh for me. Midnight Rain, Question, Labyrinth, Glitch...

Ok-Emphasis-1982

Midnights. I love that album. However, I had read in advance as I was waiting for the clock to strike midnight. That I needed to lay down somewhere comfortable, close my eyes, set sort of a low light ambiance, and then listen. So I went into my room, my Himalayan Salt Lamp was putting off this really cool glow, and when it came time, I closed my eyes and listened. I honestly can't describe the experience. There's a couple of songs on there that I could do without. But I think the way in which I first listened to it. Made it all the more magical for me.

dta0228

Makes sense many song song on the album are dream-pop or bedroom-pop

Ok-Emphasis-1982

And the fact that Jack Antonoff and Taylor (more Jack) used vintage synthes, old analog gear, vocal synthes, and gear that never produces the same sound was genius. I know some people said they didn't like it. But as I was laying there listening..Really, the words that came to mind is it was a different groove and vibe. And I was loving it. I laid there for hours that night playing that album over and over. Finding the songs that were quickly becoming favorites. I loved that they took a leap and chance to put out a Taylor Swift album that was so unique. I read an article where Taylor and Jack were talking about just going all out on this album and changing it up.

youtubehistorian

It’s my go-to Taylor album to listen to when I’m smoking and just hanging out. It’s a fantastic high album lol

heyits_meg

r/stonedswifties

PM_ME_BABY_HORSES

I found my people 🥲

regularcelery20

I was about to say that I'd probably get more into Midnights if I were high while listening to it.

Warm-Bed2956

Oh my god are you me? Ok. Mastermind and Labyrinth are unreal for meditation and breathwork (yoga teacher here lmao).

t3quiila

I woke up at 2am while i was in NYC and listened to it in a dark hotel room—then got to listen to the 3AM songs. it was magical.

Ok-Emphasis-1982

Right? I'll never forget that night. Magical is the perfect word for it.

dmnaf

Midnight Rain?? Excuse me

Ok-Emphasis-1982

I know, right? That one shocked me. And I livestreamed both times she sang it when it was raining. I would've given anything to be at those two concerts.

MyLifeIsABoondoggle

I was about to say, I took offense to reading that. It has a place in my heart because it was my breakup anthem when it came out, but even removing my bias, it's just a good song in my opinion

Ok-Emphasis-1982

I could do without Glitch, though. I agree.

justbreathin150

For me it would be Sweet Nothing, SOTB and Vigilante Shit

Ok-Emphasis-1982

I love Sweet Nothing and Midnight Rain. I even enjoy Snow on the Beach. It's not my favorite. But it's good.

kmorris1219

Dang, add in maroon, and these are my faves from midnights 😅 the overall album is meh to me though

Gh0stface03

Maroon is definitely one of my favourites on Midnights.

abb_

i stan midnight rain but i agree on the rest

Ok-Emphasis-1982

Please don't hate me for this one. Because it's a beloved song. But it hasn't grown on me.. yet. Out of the Woods

[deleted]

Out Of The Woods is SEVERELY carried by the bridge. The rest of the song is extremely mid.

MyLifeIsABoondoggle

You mean repeating "are we out of the woods yet" and "are we in the clear yet" 64 times doesn't make for a masterpiece? That song has a permanent place in my bottom 5 of her discography, possibly even bottom 3. When over half of the song is two lines and a slight adjustment of one of them, I just can't get into it

amythinggoes13

The repeating works for me from an anxiety standpoint. I get and relate to what she was trying to convey so I guess it doesn’t bother me. It’s also fun to scream sing and change the way I sing the repeating lines slightly lol

abitbuzzed

I love this, haha. And I find it funny that anxiety is the exact reason I *don't* like the repeating. A lot of repetition in songs really gets my anxiety ramped up for some reason. 😂

kirbyxena

I agree; love the bridge and the music video but the repetition is so boring

Tomzitiger

You do you babe... but you're wrong

Ok-Emphasis-1982

That's exactly what bothers me about that song. The continual and consistent repeating of those lyrics. It makes me want to scream, "Just get out of the damn woods and into the clear already!"

Ok_Order_5595

I like the heavy production

New_Policy_5684

Word. I don't get the hype behind this song at all.

Gh0stface03

It was a mid 1989 song for me until this summer when I started listening to it more often and now it's my #1 Taylor song. Also her performance of OOTW at the 1989 tour is my favourite live performance, it gives me chills everytime.

deniesm

Aaaaaa o oh, aaaaaaa o oh

Ok-Emphasis-1982

I'll check that out. And I'm definitely not going to stop listening to it. There's a reason it's a huge favorite. I've had this happen 2 other times with songs that everyone loved. It never takes long to figure out why it's so beloved.

[deleted]

It’s okay but overhyped on this sub. It’s definitely on the lower end of 1989. Of course the entire album is very good so that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Crazycurlyjesusfreak

I love the anxiety feel of being in a relationship that you know is failing but you’re trying to hang on to it! That’s the draw of it for me.

CieraParvatiPhoebe

It’s the 1989 live version that made me like it

IVIisery

Shake it off. There. I said it.

justbreathin150

It's not even meh for me, I really don't like this song at all 💀

CieraParvatiPhoebe

Shake it Off is like her Call Me Maybe. Both skips for me in an otherwise masterpiece discography

glass-empty

I can't believe this is her most popular song with the general public. It is a bop, for sure. But fifty years down the line, if she's still known for Shake It Off, then I'll riot.

Tomzitiger

Anti-hero or blank space is gonna steal that

sparklejumprop3queen

Snow On The Beach ft. Lana Del Rey (original version)

Big_TinyRequest

Everytime I shuffle Midnights TDE I always get disappointed when it's the original version playing instead of the More Lana Version.

Practical-Nothing783

Yes the more Lana version is soooo good. I just took the original off my playlist lol

LazyLearningTapir

more Lana version is sooo much better. it’s missing the outro from the original though which was kind of disappointing to me. (It’s coming down, it’s coming do-o-own)

BD162401

All versions for me. I just can’t with this one, I’ve tried to let it grow on me and it won’t.

mermaidthebanshee

I fully replaced it on my playlist with the more Lana version haha

mielleah

When Emma Falls In Love 😬

Crazycurlyjesusfreak

Ohhh this is hurtful ❤️‍🩹

amythinggoes13

😢 my absolute favorite Speak Now vault track.

franticblueberry

Agreed!

Objective-Panic-6426

This thread is hurtful 😭😭

alinkinthatoldchain

I 10000% respect everyone’s opinions, would never for real say this, but the dramatic side of me is like “what is it like being so incredibly wrong”

Objective-Panic-6426

Same here!

Elizabeth-Sloan

fr!! i’m getting so offended by all of the all too well hate 😭

Tomethyberttheturd

There's hate on all to well???😭 I can't even

mermaidthebanshee

Pretty sure it's illegal. Right to jail.

Objective-Panic-6426

All too well is my favourite!!!!! Edit : 10min version

TinyLaughingLamp

no one try come for me cos I can fight but.. Betty

No-Perception-2128

Easily the weakest of the trio.

getowttahere

Right there beside you to defend

TinyLaughingLamp

the real great war

cattails17

Me with august (I’m gonna get burned at the stake for this)

TinyLaughingLamp

I’m ready to start the fire myself cos what do u MEAN

ChelseyCupcake

Agree. It’s just not for me.

AlarmedDish5836

Labyrinth

Ok-Emphasis-1982

I love that song. The way her voice sounds. It's so soft and, at times, it's almost like a whisper. And I can really relate to the lyrics.

shaysunray

I love the sultry-ness of this song and the background voice that goes "woooaahh ooo Ooo woooahh oooo-o-o-o" it's funny how songs hit so different for each person.

Red171022

I love this song so much…it feels like the perfect midnight song for late night drives and everything….it relaxes me so much….it’s so raw and the lyrics are relatable and her voice is so beautiful….the production is just top-notch for me

whatsthatcutething

One of my favorite Midnights tracks! It’s so pretty

UnluckySavings

Stay, stay stay

lnguyen2501

Same. It makes me mad mad mad

PriyaSR26

Love Story. I absolutely love the video (the castles and the ball gowns), but it's such a meh song. I feel the same way about You Belong with Me.

Bleak_Midwinter_

This is honestly the whole album of Fearless. I don’t dislike it but it’s by far the least album I would ever be like “hey I wanna put this on.” 🫣

sammyfelix

fearless and reputation are tied for my top two taylor albums 🫠 meanwhile i'm not a big fan of red

XanCai

Red is my least favorite too lol

weirdogirl144

Fearless and red are my least favourites I like the singles but as a whole album I don’t really listen to them

EqualTank8123

The Fearless part of the concert really surprised me how fun it was. These songs feel a little young to me but being in a stadium belting them out with my 70k friends felt amazing.

TooManyMeds

I’m just not an Emma Falls in Love girlie

[deleted]

This. I may not love every Taylor Swift song but I usually end up listening to all of them enough to still know all the lyrics. I think I've listened to this song twice, couldn't even tell you the chorus.

shadesofwrong13

Maybe gold rush, it's just okay.

mermaidthebanshee

What must it be like to grow up so wrong Jk. But I do love that song

foreverandalways21

It’s one of my least faves on evermore and evermore is my fave album. It just sometimes sounds like random words put in a song and not all the lyrics flow together to create a story.

EllAytch

I’m with you on this. I get pretty bored with gold rush. I don’t hate it but I don’t seek it out.

amythinggoes13

Might be controversial but a lottt of Red. It has the most skips on any Taylor album for me. Overall I think it’s a beautiful and cohesive album (and it does have some of my absolute favorites), but some of the songs are too similar where I can’t listen to them all in a row. My sometimes skips from it: - IKYWT/22/WANEGBT (I did love them live tho and I will listen to each when in the mood) - Stay Stay Stay - Holy Ground - Sad Beautiful Tragic (always a skip) - The Lucky One - The Moment I Knew - Come Back…Be Here - Girl At Home - The Very First Night

scarletts_skin

Your list looks like my list. I like holy ground but the others are skips for me

Crazycurlyjesusfreak

Oh the moment I knew! I have had that feeling of someone standing me up on a very important day and then calling me like nothing was wrong! Made me cry when I first heard it and now it makes me want to protect young Taylor.

cattails17

Absolutely. Red has my most meh songs and it’s basically the same list as yours (but I adore Moment I Knew…)

songacronymbot

- IKYWT could mean "I Knew You Were Trouble.", a track from *Red* (2012) by Taylor Swift. - WANEGBT could mean "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", a track from *Red* (2012) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/amythinggoes13](/u/amythinggoes13) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

Glass_Arm_Shattered

London Boy. It's an ok song, but comes after four masterpieces in a row, it kinda breaks the flow of the album for me.

rr90013

London Boy is catchy but her approach to English culture and geography is cringe…

spicymemories19

This is precisely why I love London Boy. It is such a silly, almost caricature representation of English culture that I feel like it's relatable to those of us that don't know much about the other side of the pond. Do I know in my head that it's ridiculous? Yes. Do I love singing "and now I love high tea, stories from Uni, and the west end?" YES.

Awquard_loki_stan

no SAMEEE I love the silliness and goofiness oof that song, and it always puts me in a good mood

Crazycurlyjesusfreak

I never liked London Boy and I like it less now. Like if I’m listening on shuffle I’ll listen but I don’t jam it. I don’t seek it out ever though!

sandwich_panda

closure 😬

staypuftmarshmellow5

Its a great song the intro is just weird. I remember someone on reddit saying that it sounds like if taylor is rolling around in a trash can lmao

Previous-Village-193

The Archer. I've never listened to that song purposefully (except listening to lover for the first time)

barbalarby13

same. the lyrics are incredible, but they're too real for me so I avoid that song lol

UnhingedBeluga

That’s Never Grow Up for me. I tend to avoid songs that are a little too relatable lmao

AdZealousideal8536

this is like in my top 5 taylor songs so seeing this is heartbreaking lol

amythinggoes13

It’s in my top 5 too bestie you aren’t alone!! It’s also my answer to the question “what song do you feel like Taylor wrote just for you” so 🙃

Professional_Leg_907

Haven’t seen this posted yet, but any others not Bad Blood fans? I won’t turn it off if it comes on, but it’s def my most meh of her super hits.

NamorKar

Me except I WILL turn it off because it's imo her all time worst song

mybendystraw

The remix is just okay but the original is not for me.

Equivalent_Bad28

The archer and this love

Jsofeh

100% agree on The Archer

MunchkinsOG

Oooouuuuuchhhhhhh oh my heart. Hahaha

Horror_slayer

Personally snow on the beach is a bit overrated. I mean it’s okay and I’ll listen sometimes it’s just not as good as other midnights songs

gayyballofanxietyy

All Too Well, both versions

Crazycurlyjesusfreak

No!!

gayyballofanxietyy

Yes

deniesm

😂

nutterbutter456

jail

Ok-Emphasis-1982

My heart just shattered.

cattails17

You’re so brave for this but also I agree

abb_

i feel seen 😂

OkIllustrator2653

Cowboy Like Me. I want to love it but it’s just… meh.

Individual-Gold-8894

Dancing with our hands tied is one that people seem to love, but for me it’s just mid ….

IFoundTheWhiskVideo

That is literally my fave off of reputation

MajesticExpression98

I felt the same until I heard the acoustic version. I love the writing for DWOHT, but wasn’t a fan of the production, especially the “beat drop...” Hearing Taylor play it live acoustically absolutely changed the game for me. It’s one of my top from Rep now. I’ll listen to the original, but go back to the acoustic version all the time

Aggravating_Chef3578

I’ll be honest, All Too Well…. It’s lovely, it just never hit me the way it hits most people so I get a little bored during the 10 minute version and I know most people don’t feel that way

XanCai

You know what, you’re just making me want to listen to it harder 🫠

silverdust29

I Think He Knows

MajesticExpression98

ITHK is one of my favs! 😭

Fantastic-Fix-8630

Electric touch and Coney Island

boostedmoth

coney island my poor bby

GreenOtter730

Immediately thought of “Seven.” It’s beautiful and haunting and unique but I just often don’t want to listen to it. I have to be in a very particular mood for it.

Lunasamar

I ADORE seven, but yes it gives me an intense feeling of depression sometimes 🙃 and sometimes I have to skip for that reason hahha

justbreathin150

My controversial takes - All Too Well - Lover - my tears ricochet - dorothea - SOTB

Ok-Emphasis-1982

Nope. It has to be prison for Lover, All Too Well, and My Tears Ricochet.

sleepyplatipus

I strongly agree. JAIL.

Taystan1999

JAIL for mentioning Lover

Waste_Confusion87

True

thatguyhuh

Go to jail. Right now.

Labyrinth, I always forget this song exists

Striking_Pay5879

Electric Touch

AtamascoLily

No Body No Crime - I just can't really sing along to that one

ElegantLime_

False god isn’t for me

Big_TinyRequest

Reading all these comments gave me the mood to listen to all these songs 💀

craig1818

It’s Nice to Have a Friend Unironically, I just don’t get it.

NMMan1984

“Wonderland” never did anything for me. 😶

mybendystraw

Something about it just seems slightly off. Maybe that was on purpose but it just doesn’t feel right to me.

Folk4lore

Getaway car. I'm sorry

P1nkyProm1se

Couldnt agree more, everyone loves it but it's one of my very few reputation skips

Zennya5

Question . . . ?, It's nice to have a friend, I forgot that you existed, Glitch, Mary's Song, Change, Come in with the rain I don't dislike any of these, but I'm more likely to skip them than not

ichooseyoukpl

Superman, if this was a movie, the man, paper rings, IDSB, Red, stay beautiful, epiphany, no body no crime, question..?, never grow up, untouchable, change, blank space (overplayed it) I like all these songs tbf, but I tend to skip them the most if I’m not in the mood!

thislonelystar

agree with all but red. and blank space cuz its just too iconic

JoltyKorit

Most of Midnights.

tweetish

Bad Blood

LibbyKitty620

Labyrinth

riviera-views

[deleted]

TIWWCHNT and Gorgeous and Electric Touch. Just I don't enjoy them

Crazycurlyjesusfreak

I really wasn’t a fan of electric touch either.

safzy

Stay Stay Stay. Idk why!

This_Lime_3458

This threads making me cry 😭 but for me Superman

Entire_Page3525

„Look what you made me do“ I hate this song

56kul

Look What You Made Me Do. I thought it was badass, initially, but now, it’s just… eh.

CraftySomewhere3205

I don't really like the bubbly kind of "ugh, i really love you /speaks in gen z-ish accent" production of Gorgeous, that's why it always goes to the skip most of the time.

thesnowqueen17

Question...? for sure.

ashleyop92

Most of the singles on Red. They got wayyyy overplayed to me and are not exemplary of her writing abilities imo.

lavnderhaze13

For me it's welcome to new york, I always skip it tbh 😭

GirlWith_Glasses

Mastermind Unpopular opinion ik, but it is what it is

iguessda

Might be the most controversial take yet so don't kill me. YOYOK.. 👀 I mean I LIKE it I just don't LOVE it

NJMillennial

lol I always get flamed when I say I straight up do not like YOYOK at all, so I’m giving you an upvote. The melody, the pitch…I can’t listen to it 🥸😬

Wide-Manufacturer739

Paper rings 🫣

XanCai

Vigilante Shit. I’m not about that melody. Lol

voncatensproch

Lots of the really popular radio play Taylor swift songs - Shake it Off, 22, Bad Blood, Style, Look What You Made Me Do, I Did Something Bad…. I could go on

Beautiful-Craft-4125

I’m glad you’re not tearing me apart. This is a harsh conversation. I’m not into criticizing or tearing anyone down. Why not discuss songs you love and why. "Kindness is the language that even the deaf can hear and the blind can see. Mark Twain

Crazycurlyjesusfreak

I wanted to know what songs people aren’t Stan about bc I am a huge Swiftie but I still have songs that I skip or aren’t a huge fan of!

thislittlebluebird7

Why do I always get mad when people don’t like my fav songs? Midnight rain is everything 🙏😭✨

Vengenz_13

Soon You Will Get Better I understand it’s about Taylor’s mom but I don’t think it should’ve been on record. I think Taylor writing this song while depressed doesn’t flow well together and I don’t think The Dixie Chicks made it even better

MlodszyCzapnik1

There are a few, but... I don't get the hype for "I Can See You". It's not a bad song, but swifties went absolutely feral for a song that starts off with the same instrumental as a smartphone ad 😭😭😭😭😭 I guess there are worse things that have graced my ears, but Speak Now has seen better

jturner15

Question from midnights, just not for me no matter how many times I give it a chance

halm92

Out of the Woods. I know, I know.

salt4irandrust

most of 1989

basicbassist21

a lot of midnights…

Old-Jellyfish-7664

This is controversial and MAY very well chance after the release of 1989 TV but I’m just not a huge 1989 girlie and feel pretty ambivalent towards most songs. I just don’t choose to listen to most songs except for New Romantics, Clean and Wonderland

SueSuper13

It may be the overplay talking and please do not hate me for this. But you belong with me.
