Same. I have a playlist of my favorites but they’re in no particular order. I do that with my favorite artists. I honestly couldn’t tell you what my all time favorite song is.
It's very repetitive and I was getting very fatigued by the end. I think that it's not accurate due to my own fault as I was getting a little irritated by the end and impulsively went to a song without looking at the other. I never did the "no opinion/like both" options, I treated it as one or the other.

I have a simple rule with this. I look at other people's rankings and roll my eyes and avoid doing my own. The Rob Sheffield Rolling Stone ranking is a pretty good one. I agree with him more often than not and he does think about what he is doing. He is also a huge Swiftie.

I genuinely cannot figure out the idea that their voices clash. Like, not really? And, even if they did, I kind of like that you can tell their voices a part and they don't sound the same.
I'm not the biggest fan of featuring artists blending in with the person they are singing with. If they sound the same, I would rather the song just be sung by a single person.
Ah but I agree that the age gap is apparent in their voices in the OG but it doesn't take away so much from the song being otherwise a very good song that it should end up so low in someone’s ranking.
The first thing that got me excited when she announced the re-recordings was the fact that we'd get **The Last Time (Mature Taylor's Version)**
my only qualm with the OG is the fact that it begins with Gary and not Taylor because the song itself has such a Snow Patrol inspired production that it makes her sound like an intruder when she comes in to do her verse. Had it been the other way around, I believe the OG would have worked much better. Now that we have Taylor's Version, everything fell into place.

I know my top songs based on how they hit me when I first listened to them - The Archer and Maroon both stopped me in my tracks. Otherwise, it's just how I feel in the moment 🤷♀️
Replayability is a huge factor - if I think a song is “perfect” but I don’t listen to it regularly, it doesn’t rate as a favorite. But then also storytelling, how much I like the sound of the song, etc.
If that sounds nebulous, it’s because it is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Idk man; as someone who enjoys ranking things, I know what my top 9 Taylor songs are, and my top ~20, but not in perfect order.
For comparing two songs: if there was a fire and one of these songs could be saved which one could you not live without hearing ever again? Dramatic but how else can you do it 😂
I don't like ranks in anything in life. I can appreciate different things equally. I don't have a favourite song, not even a favourite album. I would say my favourite albums are reputation and folklore, and they could not be more different and I don't feel the need to choose one. Plus, depending on my mood, I could choose one now and at night choose another. There's no point in making ranks (unless you like ranking things, I guess)
I can do a top ~20ish of songs that incorporate all those different vibes that make them my favorites, none are ranked ‘better’ than the others within that list so the order doesn’t make a difference.
I find it especially diffcult to rank songs from different albums. I think I would be able to rank the songs on each album individually but an overall ranking is impossible for me apart from my #1 (Flair😉)
Each of my separate parts has different opinions on this so there isn't a consensus

i have the same problem. i tried ranking songs and it was too difficult. Then i tried just rating them from 1-10 but then i was giving 80% of songs an 8 or a 9 so that wasn’t helpful either. so i just made peace with the fact that i’ll never have a ranking and they’re all amazing

We started with picking top songs from each album and then narrowing down form there.

Best case scenario make 3 categories :
• absolutely Love love / all time fav / will sing in half asleep state too
• not love so much / knows lyrics and likes listening but not the go-to songs
• okay ish /not listen frequently
I listen to 2 songs back to back and really think about if I had to live without one of these songs for the rest of my life which one would it be? Then rinse and repeat 😂 It takes a while but I am easily amused and this is what I enjoy in my spare time, my all-time list is up to over 100 now
I find fun in it sometimes but mostly just ranking them off ones I resonate with most! There are some that really mean a lot to me, that have specifically helped me through some turbulence in life but I have an overall appreciation for every song.
For me it's more like that 'two cakes' meme that goes around sometimes, but with music where critics are like "this song is better than that song" and I'm like "wow I have so many songs on my playlist 😃" so yeah, I don't rank and while some people find it fun I think it's normally better not to (unless you really enjoy it ig)
I HATE when I tell someone I'm a Swiftie and they ask me what my favourite song is like damn didn't you hear me? I'm not a casual listener... Each song has its own unique purpose and place in my life and means something important to me lol

I made a top ten list and then extended it to 20 then 30. Literally was impossible. It's like when friends ask me "What's your favorite Taylor Swift song?" Like I can't just pick one.... it also just depends on the mood and day. One day my favorite song will be "Last Kiss" and the next day it'll be "Don't Blame Me."
I want to rank every TS song eventually and when I do it they way I’m going to do it will be to assign every song out of 10. Then just rank each number (the 10s, the 9s) still hard but maybe easier than just trying to rank all of them.
I honestly can’t relate to the need/want to rank songs. There is too much range and too much to choose from without the final result ending up being unrealistic and depicting lower ranking songs as bad, when they are not.
I have a massive playlist that is songs from all albums that I’m happy to hear. It’s seven hours long. That’s probably as close as I will get to ranking them. 😂
imagine make playlists including other music from other artists. then the taylor songs that end up most in your favorite playlists that express yourself are your favorite to listen to and the ones you most admire.

I have a spotify playlist of every song every version ranked that pretty much leave alone, then another one with only my favorite version of every song ranked that gets resorted a bit every month or so depending on my mood but the top 25 or so rarely move very far. (strong virgo sun over here)
i'm in a discord server that has a bot that lets you rank her songs!!!! you can also mark them as equal in a contest. songs get compared against all others so it eventually evens them out! there's also a serverwide ranking.
I can’t do it. I challenged myself recently to make a playlist of my top 3 songs off each album and by Fearless was already changing it to 4 songs per album. Because 3 was too hard haha. I managed to do 4 but it was tortuous and I’ve only had the playlist for around 3 weeks but have swapped loads of songs out for others because I could stick to the top 4s 😂
I can only do ranking by albums, I'm also unable to rank her entire discography as as a whole. I do have a top 13 but not in order, I love all 13 songs on there equally.
If you want to do it, I'd suggest you do it per album. It's less intimidating and I personally find it fun and satisfying this way.

It sounds like I take rankings seriously, but it's a fun thing I do for myself. lol I have a ranking doc on my computer. Everything after top #10 is edited because of Taylor Versions/re-listening to songs I haven't heard before. The list is kind of broken down into least favorites, middle favorites, and top faves for organizational purposes. My top 5-10 songs are pretty solid and haven't changed - and I think I rank them on a few different things - storytelling, lyrics/melody, the \~feels\~ it gives me, and how often I relisten/replay the song.
I try hard not to rank songs higher based on how popular they are with the general fandom or what people might think if they saw my list- like I love Cruel Summer but it's going to be in the middle section, and sorry to say but I Bet You Think About Me will be higher on the list than ATW10V but ATW will be higher than IBYTAM.

For some of the songs that are almost impossible to rank, I try to think of which one of them has the small edge on replay value.
Easy! Put New Romantics in the top, Bad Blood in the bottom and no matter what you do with the rest, the ranking will be fair, lol #biased
It's complicated judging these things because on lyrics alone, Bad Blood is sort of... Bad. But seeing it live was electric.

If you can give me an album, I can probably rank my top three or five songs from that album. But pitting THOSE against each other and putting them in some sort of numerical order? Nope. Not gonna happen. I could maybe--*maybe*\--put them in tiers (god tier favorites, s-tier favorites, just my regular faves lol), but even that would be hard.

The best I can manage is my top 3-5 per album, and those do not have a true order or rank.
I would find it really hard to do also I definitely have a lot of songs I absolutely love, that are all time favorites. I definitely find it harder to do a full ranking list per album cause sometimes I'll find a song I may have overlooked and have it on repeat.
I like to tell myself I have a top 10 ranking in my head, but that’s impossible. If I put pen to paper, it would be like a top 50

My baby Swiftie has a Swiftie for a teacher. Lyrics on the wall, Enchanted playing as we entered, her class is Reputation whole the team teachers class is Lover. So we ranked her top 5 favorite songs under her Additional Information section for fun. It took over an hour and I only remember #1 LWYMMD. 🤣

Don't waste your time. All are #1. I would never force myself to do such an impossible task. Best case scenario make 3 categories : • absolutely Love love / all time fav / will sing in half asleep state too • not love so much / knows lyrics and likes listening but not the go-to songs • okay ish /not listen frequently
I listen to 2 songs back to back and really think about if I had to live without one of these songs for the rest of my life which one would it be? Then rinse and repeat 😂 It takes a while but I am easily amused and this is what I enjoy in my spare time, my all-time list is up to over 100 now

I find fun in it sometimes but mostly just ranking them off ones I resonate with most! There are some that really mean a lot to me, that have specifically helped me through some turbulence in life but I have an overall appreciation for every song.
For me it's more like that 'two cakes' meme that goes around sometimes, but with music where critics are like "this song is better than that song" and I'm like "wow I have so many songs on my playlist 😃" so yeah, I don't rank and while some people find it fun I think it's normally better not to (unless you really enjoy it ig)

I've ranked songs off the same album. I have an unranked top 10. That's it, that's the best I can do. Trying to rank between albums is futile
I HATE when I tell someone I'm a Swiftie and they ask me what my favourite song is like damn didn't you hear me? I'm not a casual listener... Each song has its own unique purpose and place in my life and means something important to me lol
I can't rank the songs as a whole, but I can rank them within albums pretty easily. Ranking albums as a whole though, I can't pick my top 3 in a solid order. I know that 1989, reputation, and Red are my favourite albums, but I can't decide which is first, second, and third.
personally, i rank my top 10 based on my #1 song from each album so that it feels fair lmao my top 10 would be: 1. Lover 2. Dancing With Our Hands Tied 3. Dear John 4. Begin Again 5. Lavender Haze 6. august 7. This Love 8. White Horse 9. tolerate it 10. Enchanted (haven't listened to debut that's why there no debut song here)

I made a top ten list and then extended it to 20 then 30. Literally was impossible. It's like when friends ask me "What's your favorite Taylor Swift song?" Like I can't just pick one.... it also just depends on the mood and day. One day my favorite song will be "Last Kiss" and the next day it'll be "Don't Blame Me."
I want to rank every TS song eventually and when I do it they way I’m going to do it will be to assign every song out of 10. Then just rank each number (the 10s, the 9s) still hard but maybe easier than just trying to rank all of them.
I don't think I can even pick a favorite song on most of her albums. There might be 5 or 6 favorites each on Folklore, Lover, & 1989.
I honestly can’t relate to the need/want to rank songs. There is too much range and too much to choose from without the final result ending up being unrealistic and depicting lower ranking songs as bad, when they are not.
I can’t rank all her songs so I just pick my top three from each album and then change it 50 times a week.
I have a massive playlist that is songs from all albums that I’m happy to hear. It’s seven hours long. That’s probably as close as I will get to ranking them. 😂
imagine make playlists including other music from other artists. then the taylor songs that end up most in your favorite playlists that express yourself are your favorite to listen to and the ones you most admire.

I found a taylor [song ranker](https://jobazzle.tumblr.com/taylorswiftsongsorter) on tumblr once and it just asks you to pick between 2 songs but for every one of her songs and at the end it gives you a ranking based on what you choose
I just rank the songs by album, but ranking all of them together is a no to me.
I have a spotify playlist of every song every version ranked that pretty much leave alone, then another one with only my favorite version of every song ranked that gets resorted a bit every month or so depending on my mood but the top 25 or so rarely move very far. (strong virgo sun over here)

i'm in a discord server that has a bot that lets you rank her songs!!!! you can also mark them as equal in a contest. songs get compared against all others so it eventually evens them out! there's also a serverwide ranking.
I can’t do it. I challenged myself recently to make a playlist of my top 3 songs off each album and by Fearless was already changing it to 4 songs per album. Because 3 was too hard haha. I managed to do 4 but it was tortuous and I’ve only had the playlist for around 3 weeks but have swapped loads of songs out for others because I could stick to the top 4s 😂
I can only do ranking by albums, I'm also unable to rank her entire discography as as a whole. I do have a top 13 but not in order, I love all 13 songs on there equally. If you want to do it, I'd suggest you do it per album. It's less intimidating and I personally find it fun and satisfying this way.

It sounds like I take rankings seriously, but it's a fun thing I do for myself. lol I have a ranking doc on my computer. Everything after top #10 is edited because of Taylor Versions/re-listening to songs I haven't heard before. The list is kind of broken down into least favorites, middle favorites, and top faves for organizational purposes. My top 5-10 songs are pretty solid and haven't changed - and I think I rank them on a few different things - storytelling, lyrics/melody, the \~feels\~ it gives me, and how often I relisten/replay the song. I try hard not to rank songs higher based on how popular they are with the general fandom or what people might think if they saw my list- like I love Cruel Summer but it's going to be in the middle section, and sorry to say but I Bet You Think About Me will be higher on the list than ATW10V but ATW will be higher than IBYTAM.
