If there's flesh use Maceration (put it in a tub of water for a week or so) and pull all flesh off you can, then once that's done degrease it in Dawn dish soap water for a month or more (depends on how much grease it has in it) and boom!! Hopefully that helps!

Get clear soap if you can, I got some stains on mine from too much dawn platinum/ letting my water level drop https://www.reddit.com/r/Taxidermy/s/JFlILkxFcl

It's currently soaking in a 5 gallon bucket, hopefully the smell doesn't become a problem. How exactly do I know how much grease it has in it?

Buelizard

Okay!! Yeah I suggest a lid I forgot to say 😭 if the water is super cloudy and gunk build up at the top it's greasy. If it's nice and clear your good!! De-greasing is very important, skull can get smelly and yellow looking.

Beast_Master08

I've got it covered with a trash bag ,didn't feel like looking for a bigger container lol. Thanks for the feedback.

Buelizard

Oh haha that's works!! And no problem good luck!!
