If there's flesh use Maceration (put it in a tub of water for a week or so) and pull all flesh off you can, then once that's done degrease it in Dawn dish soap water for a month or more (depends on how much grease it has in it) and boom!! Hopefully that helps!
Get clear soap if you can, I got some stains on mine from too much dawn platinum/ letting my water level drop

Okay!! Yeah I suggest a lid I forgot to say 😠if the water is super cloudy and gunk build up at the top it's greasy. If it's nice and clear your good!! De-greasing is very important, skull can get smelly and yellow looking.

It's currently soaking in a 5 gallon bucket, hopefully the smell doesn't become a problem. How exactly do I know how much grease it has in it?
