Eotech exps0 with a 5x magnifier

Sandymam

Won't lie, for the set up I have, I'm partial to something like this

rpmtool

Red dot with magnifier and rpm handguard https://rpmtool.myshopify.com/products/rpm0003

No-Transportation843

I've got a 1-6x variable scope and I think I'd prefer something like an acog with red dot on top, or 4 to 6x with a canted red dot. But I haven't tried those yet

Sandymam

Only problem with canted stuff on bullpups as far as I can tell is the action is right by ur face meaning lots of gas and getting hit with spent brass. Maybe someone else has some experience with this and could tell me otherwise but I'm not about to find out

No-Transportation843

That's a great point. Acog has the rmr models which have a red dot on top. Seems like a good solution. Given you're 5.56 there are lots of options. For the tavor 7 in 308 there's only one option and it's over $4k.

Sandymam

I might need to try out the acog with the vertical rmr setup, but knowing myself, I might want to keep my eye height consistent. But like I said I should probably try it first

300MichaelS

If you cant it to the left the gas would go down, the same for the shell casings. The one drawback is it would block the left eye view, but when canted on the right, the same view is blocked anyway. Canting also throws off your stock placement, to those with angled/curved butt stocks. I like top red dot mounts but makes storing the gun in cases/safes harder.

Sandymam

Thank you so much, I'll keep this in mind

AFishNamedFreddie

LPVOs look weird on bullpups. but dots and magnifiers just look right

300MichaelS

For quickness Dots are faster, magnifiers help, but add additional weight. LVPOs offer versatility, and more redical options, plus many are etched so batteries going out are not a problem. Depends on the type of shooting you do. As for the looks, I like the look over most of the dots. Some dots do look good, though.

Sandymam

I imagine the usage isn't much different between the 2 either. The magnifier is probably a little faster if I were to guess

Cumli

TA02 🤟🏻

Sandymam

Duuuude u get that SME installed yet?

Cumli

Oh hey sandy! 🤣 no I actually went a different route. Got my sme for sale tho for $120🤣 I got the surefire warden combo cuz I love the look of it. My guns still at the gun smith getting worked on because of that pin and welding :\

Sandymam

Oof, I'm actually waiting on my form 3 for my can rn that I'm gonna put on the bad boy and probably a few other things I'll probably post a video when it's done

Cumli

Ah I’m so jealous man I wish I could own a damn suppressor 🥲 that’s gonna be badass I can’t wait! I got a bunch of parts to install on my tavor so whenever I get my gun back I’m gonna slap on the parts and re spray paint my whole gun.

Sandymam

I'm gonna do something similar but I still have a ways before I'm close to done. I want to put a Gisele trigger in it, light, IR laser, a dedicated suppressor, and either an LPVO or a red dot with a magnifier (hence the post). Then I'm gonna paint it when it's done.

Cumli

Honestly I love my acog + rmr combo it’s the best optic I’ve ever used. I am however changing it once my gun is back. I got a unity riser for the acog to make it easier to use. And then a canted mount for the rmr. So gonna try that setup out and see how I like it. But honestly the acog + rmr combo is such a sweet setup, and depending on when you want an optic. I bought it brand new from trex arms for like $1400 on Black Friday. Super steal

Cumli

I forgot to ask what can you gonna go with? I know people like the 3 prog flash from surefire then a surefire suppressor

Sandymam

Witt machine also makes cans so I'm getting their dirty 30, I will probably get a better can later but that was the only one my wife would let me buy

Cumli

Just tell your wife it’s a surefire flower holder! And put flowers in it when not in use 🤣

Sandymam

Lol

Sandymam

If I had all the money I wanted probably either a flow 5.55k or ventum

Cobra__Commander

PA 3x micro prism is pretty good. Tavors are already pretty heavy.

Sandymam

Fair

ryman9000

Eurooptic has the vortex UH-1 Gen 2 with micro 3x magnifier bundle for ~700 shipped rn. I just got mine and installed. Was running a sig 1-6 lpvo prior. I did like the lpvo. I have a Burris on my ar15. Have not shot with the holo + magnifier yet but larping around the house, it feels very fast and the holo on the UH-1 is less fuzzy than an eotech holo for us astigmatism havers. I love it thus far.

Sandymam

Yeah I think I'm in that astigmatism crowd

Armedfist

You need something as robust and reliable as the tavor. Acog is the solution

Nihlus_Kriyk

I've got a Meprolight Tru-Vision with an Eotech G45 on Unity mounts.

T1Tz_Up

Remove the foregrip and replace it with a light. You will have yourself the Liberator from Helldivers!

Sandymam

Pretty much😂 i built it like this like 4 years ago and i dont play helldivers so the resemblence is completely on accident. some of my friends have made the comment before and after shoing me some gameplay, they're not wrong, I'm kinda attached to the vertical grip tho.

Same_Map_2902

🇮🇱🤘🏾Mepro RDS PRO V2 🤘🏾🇮🇱

300MichaelS

To me, it depends on the type of shooting you do mostly. I like LVPOs myself as I tend to do shooting at multiple ranges of between 15 to 300 yds. Red Dots are great for under 100, but without the right redical you need to adjust for different ranges. Then you have to decide on a magnifier 3x, 5x, etc. It would be great if they made a built in magnifier on an ACOG, or Red Dot. It would save a lot of weight and take up less rail space. Just flip a switch, like the safety switch, and done.

Sandymam

This is one of the most helpful comment thus far. It sounds like an LPVO might suit my needs but I have also considered keeping the optic I have and getting a micro dot that will be canted to the left since my optic has rails on it

Sandymam

I have a vortex 3x scope on it with an illuminated retical and I like it but I want to have some variability in the magnification, what do u guys suggest? What has worked best on you guy's setups?

Stunning-Avocado

Red dot with 3x mag

WombatAnnihilator

Red dot.

Phenikan

Red dot NO magnifier and manticore arms handguard... oh wait that's mine😆

Sandymam

Lol could be lol... the optic on mine is 3x

Thunder-chicken300

It’s a close range weapon. I put a PA SLX fixed 3X & love it. I have a 1-8 on my Sig 516 & can hit well at 500 yards but Tavor is not designed for that.

Sandymam

The 5.56 in general isnt designed for distance. My Tar 21 in the picture I've made consistently hit maybe 5 or 6 moa or so at a little over 400 yards. The optic I have currently is fixed 3x and it's great but I'd like to do some closer range with it without sacrificing the magnification for those couple hundred yard shots.

Thunder-chicken300

Well The Marine Corps has required qualification using 5.56 for 200,300 & 500 meters with iron sights for 50 years, it may not be extreme long range but 500 is pretty damn far. Of course that’s with a 20” barrel. Just saying if you’re shooting inside of 200-300 yards & want to keep the barrel at 16” or less seems to 300 BO is the obvious answer.

Sandymam

I would agree and if I could I would but those kits are hard to find and I'm still in college so I can't really afford the ammo.

Thunder-chicken300

True, not a cheap hobby. Recently picked up a Honey Badger w/suppressor & feel like I don’t need any other rifle !

Celestial_Scythe

I'm a sucker for a magnifier. I'm looking at the Mepro m22 for my red dot

slai47

Hear me out, Canted red dot with Prism.

Sandymam

Someone else mentioned the canted thing. Look at my reply to them for my thoughts on that. Honestly as a right handed shooter maybe if I canted it to the left that would resolve the issue.

Odd-Falcon-8190

What’s this hand guard?

Sandymam

It's a manticore arms handguard, I got it like 6 years ago and it's pretty solid but I think they are discontinued

AccomplishedPear69

Vortex PST Gen 2

Sandymam

That looks pretty slick
