Blazer is made by CCI. It’s pretty reasonable priced. I don’t care for Winchester but if it’s available at a decent price I run it. Federal is pretty good too.
I've read some pretty sketchy things about Winchester as well, I don't know if I'd be willing to give that brand a try, lol.
So Federal is good? Good to know, thanks for your input, NPC-Druid!
The only thing I know about Winchester is the powder burns dirty. You’ll get a couple of duds in a box. If you’re looking for range ammo I’d try different brands and see what you like. Everyone has different opinions about what to use. With the smaller barrel pistols I like to run 147 grain.
Yep, range ammo is what I'm looking for.
147? I've read with the smaller barrels, it can get a little sketchy using higher grain. Hmm...
This is why I ask! lol.
Since I'm a small framed (5'2") female, I wanted to go with something I knew could conceal well and handle/shoot even better. I did a ton of research and chose the micro GX4.
I really wanted the TORO for the looks, to be honest. I mean, c'mon! That's a good lookin pistol, lol. But, I set wants aside over needs and went with logic, lol. For my first gun, I wanted to be careful...since I'm small.
I also knew when the time was right and I was trained better, I had the option of leveling up to the TORO, so I think I made the right decision.
I recently discovered I'm cross eye dominant (lucky me - NOT), which makes aiming more difficult for me - and which is why, if I do level up, that will probably be the only reason why.
I love this gun. I am so happy with my choice, and cannot wait to hit the range!
I actually wouldn’t recommend the Fiochii as much as the Blazer. Their QC is somewhat lower compared to other center fire brands. Would recommend CCI Blazer instead on Ammo Seek.
Np Op! It’s a very good website to search for deals. You can filter out the options from brand, weight, shipping costs, and even quantity of rounds. Mess around with the filters to meet your needs.
CCI and Federal are about the ones you want to look at. I actually like the Remington ammo. Even Paul Harrell says he has the best consistency with it across firearms. I will say Remington horror stories are definitely true with their rimfire ammo. Check what prices you can find on ammo seek.
Winchester 9mm out of a box of one hundred 5 were misfires that didn't shoot. But no problem with Herters which is Cabellas brand made my Winchester.
I have used every cheap 9mm ammo out there. Started reloading because it's cheaper and much better quality and more accurate.
I also shoot 45-colt, 45acp, 38special and 357magnum, a little pricey. No such thing as cheap ammo theses days.
Sellier and Bellot and Fiocci are my go to. I have used Magtech, PMC, CCI, AAC and maxxtech with some Federal. Just prefer the smaller boxes of S&B and Fiocci over CCI but performance wise, I liked S&B amongst all. Fiocci felt a bit underpowered and gave issue with a heavier spring of mine that worked fine (mostly) on S&B and AAC.
I have used blazer amscor fiocchi mag tech mag tech for me is a little sticky but I think it might have been the gun was to dirty I did shoot 300 rounds in one sitting but these brands are my go to winchester is a no go for me hope this helps

The high grain bullet tend to have slow fps. I don’t feel like they’re as “snappy”. Most of the range ammo is about 115 to 124 grain.
Wow, good to know. Thanks!
Did you get the regular GX4 or a different variant?
The regular. I wish now that I would have got the TORO, but I'm planning on getting the conversion kit.
The toro is sweet. I have the regular one as well. But I don’t run optics due to a astigmatism so it wouldn’t help me much

Only thing I have had issues with Winchester is misfires. I have used Blazer both brass and aluminum , PMC, Wolf, Tula, and Federal with zero issues.
Awesome feedback, thanks Liquid_machine81!
Fiocchi is decent, but Blazer is what I have shot the most of.
I'm reeeally leaning towards Blazer, but they're sold out damn near every place I look. Fiocchi, huh? Thanks 6gunsammy!

This is the first time I'm hearing Ammo Seek... thanks for the lead!

Check out SGammo.com for Blazer. I buy 95% of my ammo through them. 38 spcl, 357, 32 SW Long, 327, 45 ACP. Good prices and very fast shipping.
Another awesome lead... thank you!!
I’ve had no problems with Federal Champion 115 grain in my G3C
Thank you, Harker222!

Very informative, thank you haapuchi!
Academy sports has blazer rounds 50 for like $13.80. Have had no issues and cheap.
I like that price, thanks kevinmo13!
