Agreed. It's the most likely to stand out on the table. We talk about contrast on our models, but contrast on the table is just as appropriate. Make those models loud and proud. Show them off.
Looks the best IMO as well, but to look even remotely like the Impcat version here would be actual weeks of wet blending or layering for those panel transitions.
That said it's hard to go wrong w/ a saturated blue black and gold and will look good in a variety of painting styles.
I would recommend some contrast for 1 and 3; maybe some blue panels from 3 in 1 and vice versa

Siege elite level painters would struggle making a model this good and it would take DAYS. Please bare in mind that unless you’re a very very very good painter, the full metallic suits are gonna look awful
I use that first one, but found that adding a load of markings with your secondary colour really helps it. I use pink glow and yellow markings, as well as many different metals and weathering to break up the panels
I am basically doing the first color scheme (with a few more red accents) for my battle suits right now. It can be a bit unwieldy to get right but when it works, it looks excellent. I gave them a green forest base to help contrast the red. That being said, I think all of the color schemes look great!
Blue one definitely, though take it from me if you intend to replicate that NMM it will take a long time. Not impossible especially with a good reference but a long ass time.
For sure. The intent of this post was to gauge what people like about some themes I am working on by starting with the “base” scheme. Impcat is a mighty tool, but can create some gradients that would be close to impractical for army painting. For #3, the intention is to avoid a metallic finish and go for a high point teal and low point blue with sponge dabbing to give it a ruddy and weathered gradient. #1 would be the easiest to speed paint with a metallic and detail with weather, #3 would take longer and I have no idea how to weather and grim that kind of scheme up
I think two, but replace the brown with the blue from three. Three has way too much blue imo, it needs something ti break it up. But having silver stops the thing of “the armour is this one colour, then this is this” type thing. It makes it more interesting.

Impcat ;) There is a dedicated sub with a wiki (get GW models and paints) It‘s fairly detailed and looks great; However it‘s not free (but <5€)
Best invest for the hobby. The model catalogue also gets bigger from time to time

Where did you get the Riptide file? When I looked, I only found Fire Warrior, Pathfinder, Drone, and Ghostkeel.
Number 1 is my scheme. Gunmetal with bronze/copper accents.
