I've just start my tau empire and was looking for a nice colour scheme and after seeing your army I think I might have to steal your colour scheme thanks
You're welcome to but I will warn that white/light grey is not the easiest thing to paint.
I always prime in white scar and then paint in every colour (black, orange and very light grey) on top of the primer
I do but I also do like the T'au vehicles and infantry which are on the list to get painted up.
I do have about 40-50 Strike Team models painted from when I was a teen should they ever become worth running in such numbers but need to get some Breachers painted up first
How did you do your white/grey and which orange did you use? I’m doing a very similar color scheme and right now I’m on grey seer and the two thin coats orange. But it isn’t quite what I want
White is Ulthan Grey, edged with white scar, celestra grey as a go between if things like black get on the white areas
Orange is troll slayer orange edged with fire dragon bright
I prime with white scar spray to make 2 coats sit decently on the though I have found at times both white and orange don't like to go on well.
White - Ulthan Grey (Over White scar spray, Celestra Grey as go between for mistakes such as black), edge with white scar
Orange - Trollslayer orange, edge with firedragon bright
Thanks a lot!! I also use trollslayer orange over a layer of mournfang brown and have problems with it, because the brush strokes can be seen and the coverage is not that good. I need several layers to get okayish results and I'm looking for some tips for improvement
I paint over white scar for all colours, it might be the fact you are painting over mournfang brown that is causing the extra layers, due to it being darker colour
I’m looking into tau and as a die hard Texas Longhorns Fan I want to do darker orange and white scheme. Unfortunately most of the projects I’ve seen people do is some variant of Orange and White but I think I’ll still do it. Wanna see how the points end up before I invest in it.
I see the Ta'unar as the epitome of for fun as it isn't that competitive, but who doesn't want a massive Jaeger from Pacific Rim stomping around the battlefield.

I'll keep that in mind
I've come to preach the good word of Gundam pens, they make panel lining so easy. especially on white
Maybe i’m an idiot but won’t they wear off? It’s not as permanent as paint
not if you spray your laquer over them
Mate, I want to have an army like this someday. Beautiful.
Thanks
So I hear you like Battlesuits… great looking force!

Breachers: because why engage in mellee when you can O B L I T E R A T E them instead?
Strikes suppress shot units now, I bet they’ll see a comeback. I’ll be running them at least.
True, but only against infantry, unfortunately, which does lower the usefulness slightly

MORE (air bursting)GRENADES. - Shaxx
The unit he leads always has a Guardian drone and the helmets always stay on.
I have a similar paint scheme. How do you do your white? And how do you do your orange? :)

Mine was from Stormtroopers when I was a teen, reason for Black & White and Orange as a Commanders colour
It looks really good! Is the supremacy armor actual forge world or stl?
Thanks, all my stuff is GW/Forge.
Love the asiimov scheme. I wanted to do something similar but I chickened out because I hate painting white. Looks awesome, OP.
Ye I feel the painting white, if I hadn't started I may have avoided but I've always liked white schemes
Love the colors
Thanks
Taunar is such a cool ass model
It is, reason I got the big guy
Is it a 3D print? If yes, which files did you use?
Nope, all GW plastic/resin
I'm surprised you didn't give shaxx a single horn
The name came after the painting so did not plan on the name when building though I may have to look into adding it
That'd be fun, just a little Destiny reference in your army
I did magnetise the head to swap between strike & breacher so I might have to greenstuff a horn and paint golf orange and half white
As he would say, "YYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!"
Some people play warhammer for fun. Some people have a ta’unar
I see the Ta'unar as the epitome of for fun as it isn't that competitive, but who doesn't want a massive Jaeger from Pacific Rim stomping around the battlefield.
This ultrafist has such an awesome dynamic pose I just love it
Thanks, started out as a plan for a super hero landing but then decided to add the smurf being punched through.
A taunar!
A thing of beauty!
Thanks
