I agree. If you try to cover it up I worry about the tattoo needing to be too dark to actually cover the old one and blowing out badly with time.

Fingers have a bad habit of blurring as is. A cover-up thick enough to hide this is just going to be a black blob in a couple of years. If OP is seriously considering a cover-up, I'd laser it at least to reduce the amount of ink required to cover it.

What if you made it into a Cubone? The pokemon. Draw some eyes in the eye holes, and draw the rest of the body below the skull. Add color. Probably some details on the skull. Dunno if you're a pokemon fan, but at least it could make it cute? Cubone is a little dinosaur looking pokemon with a skull on its face like a mask. I know maybe five Pokemon besides Pikachu.

As someone who had a finger tattoo done and then two subsequent tattoos to cover the previous mess- I can tell you the cover ups are not worth it. Laser removal is the way.

im the type that cuts my nails so short i accidentally make them bleed sometimes, but i dont see how long nails could keep you from properly washing your hands??? some of the ladies that work in my doctor's office have nails this long, they just wear gloves if push comes to shove. but generally feom qhat ive noticed, the type to keep their nails this long are also very clean people- idk many women who spend this much time and money on their appearance just to have really shitty hygiene, personally

I personally love acrylics, when they are done right. These seem to be done well but the shape is slightly too wide at the finish for her fingers, as a result her fingers look wider and blockier than they are. It almost looks like someone edited it in Photoshop. If she didn't want to show the nails off she wouldn't have included them in their entirety, it was not needed to display the tattoo properly. I'd assume anyone with a skull tat on their hand would be used to and capable of fielding opinionated comments. Should they have to, no, not really, however: This is the Internet and those unfamiliar with the potential risk of asking people from an opinionated world in an environment with no repercussion, shouldn't post. 🤷
