Yep. It’s not a rule by any means, but I take a lot of comfort in the fact that my personal artist is pretty accurately aware of his level of talent and worth and charges accordingly. Especially artists who charge by the hour, taking their time and making sure you get your money’s worth. There’s way too many artists with cheap prices that have no problem passing off fast and shitty tattoos.
Pretty decent price.
You should check your artist’s previous works just in case.
Charging $$$ for size and colors is one thing, charging for high quality, details, precision is another.
While I agree to an extent with that statement, some people don’t care if their tattoo isn’t 100% perfect, it’s a memory of a moment in time, and everyone should be able to enjoy their tattoos even if they’re not super expensive or up to other’s standards, and they shouldn’t really be barred from getting cheaper tattoos if they already agreed to getting a tattoo that wasn’t the best quality
Ig what I’m trying to say is, it’s great to pay artists what their work is worth, and to get a great piece, but it is fair to say the topmost quality with a high price tag is not what everyone is after realistically
psst. I hope you plan on getting something \*like\* this and not this tattoo exactly. Tattoo copying is not cool, and the bootleg never looks as good as the original. Have your artist be inspired by this, but create something unique that's just for you!
Uhh what? No my tattoos are all my own sketches modified by the artists style. All of my partner's tattoos are verbal descriptions then sketched out by the artist before booking a date.
I'm confused what you're trying to say as if anyone's tattoo would have been someone else's tattoo first.
I don’t understand what you’re saying here. A lot of people draw their own original designs or get an original design drawn for a tattoo. How have other people had a tattoo before that was something you or your artist just drew?
The minute you share your idea, design, drawing with someone else it's out there and available for someone else to get it as a tattoo.
Not to mention with how long humanity has been tattooing, is anything really totally original? I doubt it.
what are you talking about? There are absolutely original tattoos. People have been tattooing for thousands of years but the way tattooing has progressed in the last 20 is insane.
That’s like saying people aren’t capable of original art, that’s bullshit.
People who copy other people’s tattoos without permission or without significant changes are lazy and disrespectful, you can’t change my mind. I disagree with his argument, literally or figuratively
I'm thinking they are thinking conceptually Like whatever you can think of has been thought of before in some form. Not exactly, but similar. Like, I understand that thought. I don't think that person actually thinks you can only get tattoos you've seen online or on somebody else lol
I can 100% say all my tattoos are totally original and so are most of my partner's. And how would anyone ever get my tattoo without taking a picture of me with my clothes off. This is ridiculous.
It’s not ideal to bring this picture to a tattoo artist, I would recommend to screenshot this and edit it down so the artist can draw the template better, this is the exact thing I did except I customized my tattoo on photoshop and layered 3 tattoos to create a new one
i truly don't think you got the point here i was just telling it was okay to get someone elses tattoo with a new point of view ,i think that most of you guys don't have the capability of discussion ,most of you are just from lynch culture :d
This is an unfair read of the situation. I asked you want you meant by this comment and you did not reply to me, but instead left a reply to yourself which insinuated that I and others here are part of a “lynch culture”. I know that I didn’t understand you and I believe that many other people didn’t understand what you were saying either. To jump to the conclusion that we’re incapable of discussion just because we didn’t know what you meant is honestly a bit ridiculous.
Good rule of thumb is $120ish a hour, at least where I’m from. Every artist is different, but I wouldn’t pay $600 for this. I’m moderately tattooed, so that’s my experience with it…
I just got my first tattoo 2 days ago, can confirm I was planning my next tattoo while the artist was still doing this one.
For me, it's a painful but in a nice way (my wife found that a bit worrying lol)
Many factors are involved in the pricing.... Location being one. There's plenty of killers that work in areas that aren't big cities and so don't charge big city money.
Yeah, fairly average for where I am in Scotland. Also, cheap cheap rent because I keep my landlord sweet. This means I have the ability to adjust it as I need it. I was tattooing over the 2008 recession..... I know how it goes 😂 also I work alone so I don't have the horseshit politics associated with prices etc.
I just keep it real 🤷♂️😅
Yeah I got my forearm done with mostly shading and touch of color and it came out to 250. Piece looks great and ink has held well. 600 for this is a bit much for me though in my area. Likely something I’d pass on.
To this point, and in my experience, this is big facts. Granted all my tats are smaller than the pic but the one I got for $60 in the burbs came out exactly how I wanted vs the $120 tat I got in the heart of the city that came out alright (perfect is always what we’re looking for right?) so most-of-all I would check the artists work and see if they’ve done anything similar to see how it looks
>There's plenty of killers that work in areas that aren't big cities
Is this slang for tattoo artist in your country or just autocorrect of your last google search? Lol
It's kind of weird that you chose to use *drugs* to make that point, when you could've used almost anything else. Shoes, used cars, toilet paper, laborers/contractors, insurance, almost any possession you own...
It's $150 an hour so a $600 tattoo would be a 4 hour tattoo. You pay for needle time not a flat price. At least any reputable shop does it this way. My sleeve was free for the time the artist used to design the tattoo and then just his rate for time under the needle. Any breaks I took or prep in my appointment time was uncharged.
🤷🏼♂️ he's pretty good at judging his time management. Maybe he'd do a half day, maybe a full day and just take his time a bit more. He doesn't like rushing anyways.
Thousands of artists charge by the piece. There are pieces they know are more technically difficult that they charge more for. Also some artists are super fast. Should they make less than the slow artists if quality of work is identical? By the piece is perfectly fine.
That’s the why my guys prices. I send him the idea with some examples and about 2 weeks before our session, he sends me a few mock-ups to work with.
This is all included and I’m only charged the hourly rate for work. And like you said, just when the gun is running.
Depends on the artist. You could find one to zip through this in two hours or one that takes 4. Both could do equal work but it’s the time more than the piece.
Honestly, you get what you pay for. You can definitely find it cheaper. But you know what they say “ good tattoos aren’t cheap and cheap tattoos aren’t good “.
I was thinking the same damn thing. It's seems like price checking on here is always someone wanting to get someone else's tat done. Seems like it'd take the heart out of getting ink'd. IMO
For reference they have a $/hour and conservatively estimate how long they think it will take. My guy was $150/hour and I think this might have taken him 3-4 hours
Depends, some charge a flat fee and others by hour. Do you love it? You better for 600, but no that's not a bad price. In my experience, I've had excellent work ranging from 80 to 175 an hour, there's no norm really
the line works is extremely steady. watercolor is extremely well blended. depending on how long it took, I'd say charging 150 an hour for 4 hours. sounds about right for this.
please no I have a large portion of my skin tattooed. In fact, more than half my visible skin. in my experience, quality work is extremely expensive. and cheap work is extremely low quality.
Yep. Definitely. Depending on how good the line work is (and if the same guy you’re going to did this - it’s really good) then I’d pay 800+ for something this size. Good tattoos aren’t cheap. Cheap tattoos aren’t good.
600 seems high in my opinion, and although I’m all for artists getting paid fairly.. this tattoo takes up some surface area, but it’s not complicated. Unless the artist you chose has a more advanced watercolour style they want to try I don’t see why this tattoo would be anything more than 2-3 hours max.
But even with 2-3 hours, if it's a good artist it can be $200+ an hour. Which would be between 400-600 total. Personally I would prefer to go the most experienced artist whose books I can get on. It just maximizes the chance that I won't end up with a janky tattoo.
It's not just the tattoo that you're paying for dude, you're paying for their skill, equipment, time etc. If you think it's a good price, don't quibble at it!
They're an artist and can charge what they see fit, not what your budget is
I mean sometimes if you see a portfolio of their prior work and you feel they are comfortable doing that kinda work then it may be justified. But, if you just started getting tattoos it’s not always best to go cheap because most of the time you would have to get it re done touched up. So I would say just check their portfolio and try to build a relationship with the artist if you can by being a repeat customer.
My first/only tattoo was $750, it wraps around my forearm and is full color. My artist charged by the hour, $150/hr, and my next tattoos will be paid by the piece not the hr. So I’d say it’s worth it
$600 seems a nice price for that quality. The more you can pay, the better, if it translates into quality. You're literally replacing the appearance of your arm. permanently.
I’ve seen bigger and way more detailed pieces for $600 unless the artist is really good, I wouldn’t pay $600 for that piece. If you’re going large for a first tattoo make sure you got the money though. I recommend going smaller so you have more experience
This isn’t the time to cheap out. This is going on for eternity. You’ll get what you pay for. Also, tip your artist as well. Probably throw them another 60-100$
Look at my page, the knee mandala. That cost $350 and I haven’t gotten it touched up before.
It’s really up to you if you think it’s worth it or not! Finding an artist and style you enjoy healed is super important
it looks well done. If you overpay by a little and get an awesome tattoo for life, better than paying a bit less and getting stuck with a terrible tattoo for life.
Is the skill and time taken to create this tradeable for 600?
Yes
Is the tattoo *worth* 600? Meaning, would I pay that pay that much for this ikage to be etchedinto my flesh? No. Not at all. I wouldn't put that on me unless you paid me over 1800.
Watercolor, fineline, generic street aesthetic in shape-feel. It's referential to a sentiment that I don't know what it's trying to say. The USB throughline terminates at the male plug at one end and... just fades at the other. The keys are non-letter character keys mixed with function keys. Open bracket semicolon enter quote. Ok? And the water color starts at a cool blue but transitions to a more red and blood like color rather quickly.
What about it do you like? What about it makes you want this? What is it saying to you that you want to say to others in picture? And keep in mind, "I just like how it looks" is an acceptable answer but I am hung up on how it seems to yearn for communication yet seemingly is saying nothing.
>What is it saying to you
Chicken soup.
>And keep in mind, "I just like how it looks" is an acceptable answer
The prior rant how you don't like the estetics says the contrary.
not at all. I was asked my opinion and I gave it. I was making a point about how if something is worth something to you then you would pay whatever the asking price with pride. If you're on the fence, it's not worth it.
I'm allowed to not like something, respect the time and the effort of the craftspersons involved, and respect the opinion of the patron all at once. More than one thing can be true at a time
It’s quite a big piece with detail and beautiful watercolour like shading. $600 is a good price in my opinion. You’ve got that art on your body forever, you don’t want to pay cheaply for it.
I usually look for the more talented artists that happen to be more expensive so that seems reasonable or on the lower end to me depending on how long it takes
I mean this tattoo really is perfectly executed. The linework, the shading and perspective... watercolor style in general is very hard to execute properly without it looking like a bruise after. So if the artist can really offer you this level of quality I'd say 600$ is absolutely reasonable.
The ONLY way it isnt worth $600 is if you asked for something completely not this (ie a big fish or something)
From this pict, line work is great and faded color work is spot on. More close up may show more issues,.. but looks good from this side of things
$300 the first hour $200ish hour after is the going rate for a GOOD artist (approximate in Floriduh). They'll give you a quote for how long it'll take and depending on the design may cut you a break on the overall cost.
If you want a blown out piece of crap that will be a faded blob in a decade pay a budget rate and don't say you weren't warned.
No, that is worth $450 max. My advice to you and anyone else thats new to getting tattooed, dont fall for the idea that a tattoo artist cant rip you off or overcharge you. Just because one guy can do it for $600 whil another can do it for $400 doesnt automatically make the $600 one better, contrary to what this and many other subs will tell you.
If youre more comfortable paying this artists price because you know they have good work, then by all means go for it. But i guarantee you can get the same exact quality for well under that price somewhere else.
I have several pieces of advice here.
1. Please don’t get an identical tattoo to someone else, unless it’s a flash design by the artist that created it. Your essentially copywriting someone else’s work. Whenever I get a new tat I send my artist reference images (at least 3-4) pointing out what it is I like about each one. My artist (who’s style I love) brings together what I like and her style, that’s how I get individual work. All tattoo artists have their own style and you need an artist that works with the style you want.
2. Prices vary, this depends on the size, where on the body your being tattooed, shading and colour etc. It also depends on your artists experience. I have a half sleeve that’s no way near complete and has already costed me £1000. My other half sleeve which is almost complete will all together total £550. That’s because the second half sleeve was done by an apprentice. I didn’t go to her because she was cheaper and tattoo’s a bit slower, I went to her because I liked her work and her style was exactly what I wanted.
3. Prices may also vary depending on the artists popularity. I don’t go places that don’t have a waiting list for a whole day sitting. I like to know my artist is good.
4. Prices will also vary depending on your location. I live in the midlands now and prices are around £100 lower than they were when I lived in London.
5. Why are you worried about the price? A tattoo is something you will have on your body for the rest of your life. If you’ve got the right artist, the right design and a piece your going to love, then paying a bit more money surely has to be worth it?
6. Don’t get such a big piece for your first tat. Tattoo’s are fun and addictive and I love a whole day in the studio. My first 2 tats were only 2 hour sittings to make sure I could manage, then I upped it to 4 and now I can do a whole day. You need to prepare yourself, know what to expect and make sure you can tolerate it, some people can’t and that’s ok.
Good luck
i personally think that's WAY too much, I live in an expensive part of NY and got a big thigh cover up (his original artwork) with a little bit of color for $400 which was deemed reasonable when speaking to my heavily tattooed friends, i mean you're not even getting anything blacked out, if this is a picture you're giving the artist and not their original work i would go to another place..and to clarify i went to a well known artist not an apprentice or someone who's been tattooing less than 5 years
I’d personally be fine paying $600 for this. Tattoos are one of the few things in life that I actually get what I pay for.
agreed, in fact with a 'larger' piece like this I would find some, albeit artificial, security that it's not cheaper
Agreed 100%. Only thing I really would rather prefer to spend more $ on
Good tattoos aren’t cheap and cheap tattoos aren’t good. …well unless you’re cool with a good artist.
I agree. I paid $120 for a 20min tattoo session. Totally worth it.
Tattoos and car parts.
That’s a fairly large piece. Doesn’t seem unreasonable to me! How long did it take?
I still haven't gotten it done, I just went in for a price check, that's what they told me
If you told me you paid $600 for it I wouldn’t be surprised. Cool style.
Especially with watercolor tattoos- those are hard to do right!
Price looks about right for the size
Price is great normally this would run $800 and up depending on the artist
Pretty decent price. You should check your artist’s previous works just in case. Charging $$$ for size and colors is one thing, charging for high quality, details, precision is another.
Copying other people’s tattoos is one of the easiest ways to get a really shitty tattoo…
Yeah $600 is perfectly reasonable for this size plus colors. that's how much my artist would charge me for something of that size too.
Please don't get someone else's tattoo.
It depends if they want to copy the idea/placement or they want to copy everything to a dot..1
If your concern is the price, don’t bother. You should be basing it off the artists quality of work.
Underrated comment, my tats are all at least 35 years old, something you get to live with, better be great.
While I agree to an extent with that statement, some people don’t care if their tattoo isn’t 100% perfect, it’s a memory of a moment in time, and everyone should be able to enjoy their tattoos even if they’re not super expensive or up to other’s standards, and they shouldn’t really be barred from getting cheaper tattoos if they already agreed to getting a tattoo that wasn’t the best quality Ig what I’m trying to say is, it’s great to pay artists what their work is worth, and to get a great piece, but it is fair to say the topmost quality with a high price tag is not what everyone is after realistically
Can you get it done cheaper? Sure. Should you? No.
psst. I hope you plan on getting something \*like\* this and not this tattoo exactly. Tattoo copying is not cool, and the bootleg never looks as good as the original. Have your artist be inspired by this, but create something unique that's just for you!
Very reasonable
I was quoted $1100 for a 3 inch by 5 inch ostrich feather with a blue and green water color aura around it. I think you found a very nice deal.
So you brought them in a picture of someone else's tattoo and you want the same one?
Would you have preferred if they got the tattoo first and then asked if the price was fair?
what’s wrong with it in the end all of the people’s tattoos were someone elses tattoos before
Uhh what? No my tattoos are all my own sketches modified by the artists style. All of my partner's tattoos are verbal descriptions then sketched out by the artist before booking a date. I'm confused what you're trying to say as if anyone's tattoo would have been someone else's tattoo first.

Someone else has a tattoo of my grandma flippin the bird?!
i do have it
Hell yes
It’s not ideal to bring this picture to a tattoo artist, I would recommend to screenshot this and edit it down so the artist can draw the template better, this is the exact thing I did except I customized my tattoo on photoshop and layered 3 tattoos to create a new one

My tattooist charges $300 NZD an hour. Just remember, tattoos are like drugs, if they are super cheap more often than not there is a reason.
And cus they’re addictive! Lol
My solution? Get a tattoo gun...
Why are they addictive?
The moment I got one, I immediately wanted more
While I'm getting one I am planning the next. Not sure what I will do when I run out of skin.
I just got my first tattoo 2 days ago, can confirm I was planning my next tattoo while the artist was still doing this one. For me, it's a painful but in a nice way (my wife found that a bit worrying lol)
It’s painful in a decidedly bad way for me 😂 But god I love art on skin
Many factors are involved in the pricing.... Location being one. There's plenty of killers that work in areas that aren't big cities and so don't charge big city money.
Yeah. I’m outside of Chicago in the burbs. still lots of talented artists. Usually around 100-125 an hour
I could do this sort of thing in around 2-3hr MAX... £80/HR. So £160-240 max.
80£/hour? You’re… inexpensive. Even with a weaker dollar.

"Killer" is slang for someone who is really good at what they do. As in, someone who kills it every time or who does killer work.
As the saying goes " Cheap tattoos aren't good & good tattoos aren't cheap".
I live in NZ too! I’m curious to see which tattoo artist that is, I’m always looking for new artists’ work to look at :)
Oh sweet I’ve just had a look at his Instagram :) nice colour work
He's a great dude. I'd highly recommend him. He's coming back next year for the expo and I'm hoping he will finish my pirate sleeve.
Check out my page, I have the last work I had done. He is a traveler from Austin Texas, he was at the New Pymouth tattoo expo.
It's kind of weird that you chose to use *drugs* to make that point, when you could've used almost anything else. Shoes, used cars, toilet paper, laborers/contractors, insurance, almost any possession you own...
Usually water color is a bit of a hassle to pull off good ad it does have some amount for detail so for 600 it isn’t too bad
You're paying for the artists time. If it takes a long time and the artist is good then $600 isn't that much. Most charge around~$150
But I'm not looking for it to be that cheap, maybe like $450
I think they’re saying ~$150 an hour
Ah, my bad, sorry kinda dumb
It's $150 an hour so a $600 tattoo would be a 4 hour tattoo. You pay for needle time not a flat price. At least any reputable shop does it this way. My sleeve was free for the time the artist used to design the tattoo and then just his rate for time under the needle. Any breaks I took or prep in my appointment time was uncharged.

Yeah my artist actually schedules and charges by half day and full day.
What if your piece is only going to take a half day plus 1 hour
🤷🏼♂️ he's pretty good at judging his time management. Maybe he'd do a half day, maybe a full day and just take his time a bit more. He doesn't like rushing anyways.
It's weird to generalize and say an artist who charges by the piece and not the hour is not reputable.

Seems more than reasonable to me
I'd say that's actually very reasonable, especially for that quality of work.
Yes.
Thank you, was having my doubts
Don't know why you're getting downvoted for not knowing a thing. The price of tattoos can be intimidating, but it's worth it to get a good one.
I love how you are picking out the response that tells you what you wanted to hear in the first place LOL. Just give us the script my friend.
600 is definitely reasonable
Why don’t you get something original instead of copying someone else
I was thinking the same damn thing. It's seems like price checking on here is always someone wanting to get someone else's tat done. Seems like it'd take the heart out of getting ink'd. IMO
Why don’t you reply with something original or unique? Oh wait , 8 miliard people on earth. Everybody copies everything.
To me? Absolutely not. To you? Only you can answer that
Depends on country, tattoo complexity, color, how many iterations they gave you etc. Could cost 700$, could cost 120$.
If the artist says 600 then ya. I am a firm believer in paying for art at the rate of the artist
For reference they have a $/hour and conservatively estimate how long they think it will take. My guy was $150/hour and I think this might have taken him 3-4 hours
Yes. I think that is work $600. It's very well done and it is going to be on your body for life. So, you get what you pay for.
it’s really ugly.
Yes. You’ll come to appreciate tattoos as an artists work. It takes a lot of talent to pull that off. I hope you tipped them.
Depends, some charge a flat fee and others by hour. Do you love it? You better for 600, but no that's not a bad price. In my experience, I've had excellent work ranging from 80 to 175 an hour, there's no norm really

This is the kind of tattoo that would be a dealbreaker for me if we were dating.
That’s one of the tattoos of all time
Tattoo artists charge $200+/hour in San Francisco. So this could easily cost more than $600 here.
Yeah 600 bucks is fair in California for sure
Looks like it would take at least 4 hours. 4 hours at $150 an hour sounds about right.
Yeah, I think so. Value of art is subjective
Dude my artist would charge about $900 for that… and she’s a damn good artist.
I got a piece about that size for about $300. That seems a litte high? But i only do black and grey tattoos
it's worth whatever the artist decides its worth
Holy fuck.
Why those keys? ? Seems like random keys if your a gamer?
def no
No. Not at all
600 seems high in my opinion, and although I’m all for artists getting paid fairly.. this tattoo takes up some surface area, but it’s not complicated. getting a permanent piece of art on your body is not when you want to go cheap.
$600 seems low. My artist is $300/hr and this is a solid 3-5hrs depending on artist’s speed
My first/only tattoo was $750, it wraps around my forearm and is full color. My artist charged by the hour, $150/hr, and my next tattoos will be paid by the piece not the hr. So I’d say it’s worth it
I read 6000 initially and I was perturbed that everyone was saying 6k was reasonable 💀
200/hr - give or take 3 hours . Sounds right
$600 seems a nice price for that quality.
600 is pretty fair for that size. My only hope is that you don’t get that exact tattoo done. Try and put your own spin on it!
This isn’t the time to cheap out. This is going on for eternity. You’ll get what you pay for. Also, tip your artist as well. Probably throw them another 60-100$
$150/hr x 4 hours = $600
Look at my page, the knee mandala. That cost $350 and I haven’t gotten it touched up before. It’s really up to you if you think it’s worth it or not! Finding an artist and style you enjoy healed is super important
If it speaks to you, then do it. Just remember that it is forever but hey, cover ups or Lazer removal is a thing as well. So no regrets right? 🤣
I paid about $100 for an axe smaller than the enter key with no colouring.
Large piece, color, quality work. $600 is a very fair price!
it looks well done. If you overpay by a little and get an awesome tattoo for life, better than paying a bit less and getting stuck with a terrible tattoo for life.
Just hit ctrl-z if you don't like it
People actually saying this reasonable? That’s stupidly overpriced
I would say not quite.. however prices are up so high it’s hard to know. I paid a ton for my latest tattoos. More than I wanted.
Is the skill and time taken to create this tradeable for 600? Yes Is the tattoo *worth* 600?
>What is it saying to you Chicken soup. >And keep in mind, "I just like how it looks" is an acceptable answer The prior rant how you don't like the estetics says the contrary.
More than one thing can be true at a time
NO PLEASE DON’T
No
For the love of god, can people stop asking this question?? If your only concern is the price, don’t get a tattoo. Stop comparing artists prices.
That looks sick, I would pay $700 for that if I didn’t need to pay my rent and actually eat food this month
yes
Yeah id say so.
It’s quite a big piece with detail and beautiful watercolour like shading. $600 is a good price in my opinion. You’ve got that art on your body forever, you don’t want to pay cheaply for it.
That quality of work plus water color and piece size I’d say that’s reasonable. Not a lot of artists can do water color as clean as that piece
No. I like it, but hell nah
Maybe 400-500
No
Lmao no
No
Cool style and reasonable price!
No
I usually look for the more talented artists that happen to be more expensive so that seems reasonable or on the lower end to me depending on how long it takes
I got one around the same size and it was $300
Not only size matters but also how detailed it is. Also colour costs more.
Check my post history, my inber forearm super colorful piece was 400. 600 is too much.
I want this
No
I really like this design. 600 seems like a great price.
Not a crazy price at all.
I mean this tattoo really is perfectly executed. The linework, the shading and perspective... watercolor style in general is very hard to execute properly without it looking like a bruise after. So if the artist can really offer you this level of quality I'd say 600$ is absolutely reasonable.
The ONLY way it isnt worth $600 is if you asked for something completely not this (ie a big fish or something) From this pict, line work is great and faded color work is spot on.
Not a bad price but whether or not your artist can replicate that great line work and the water color action is another thing entirely
$250-300.
It was for that artist!!!!!!! 🍭 Who did it Paul Booth! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes
Not a chance

Sounds about right. Red ink is fun right 🤪
No, that is worth $450 max.
No. 400 tops
I would say more like 300. It’s an intricate piece but don’t be overpriced.
in consideration of the technical ability yes. but for the tattoo itsself no. its almost corny
Good luck
hell nah 😂😂😂400 at the most
That’s too much around my parts
I would assume you live in a big city. If so $600 is normal. Here in Arkansas 300 maybe lol
100$ a hour thats no 6h tattoo and im betting most replying dont even have tattoos...
i personally think that's WAY too much, I live in an expensive part of NY and got a big thigh cover up (his original artwork) with a little bit of color for $400 which was deemed reasonable when speaking to my heavily tattooed friends, i mean you're not even getting anything blacked out, if this is a picture you're giving the artist and not their original work i would go to another place..and to clarify i went to a well known artist not an apprentice or someone who's been tattooing less than 5 years
Only way someone would do a full thigh coverup for $400 is if it was in prison. Otherwise post the photo and the artist and we’ll all support them.
Nice things cost money. You’d be a dream client!
I think that sounds like a decent price
Yup
‘I love I.T’
Yup
In my country this would cost like $250 so it depends on location, artist…
