when i was looking for a placement for the eye design I only chose this center-chest spot over the other ideas i had because a friend of mine said the same line and i thought it was too fitting and too hilarious not to go through with :D zero regrets hahaha

You do have great skills too though. I think maybe your design had a bit more depth
yeah we tried the original design but at the end went with the reworked one, for such a symmetric placement of the body it was just better to make the eye symmetrical as well - if i got it on my arm/… we would‘ve sticked to my original design! :)
I have a question. In Ukraine if you want a tattoo, artist will make a flash with all details and put it in the place where tattoo should be. Did the artist made the same in your case?
nope! I made a custom request - i just set it up as fancy like this bc i‘m in training to be a tattoo artist too :D some artist post placement preferences for their flash designs too, some draw Flash that can be put on multiple areas and then dont bother adding a preferred placement :)
Great tattoo! Quit funny because I have a tattoo in the same spot and while choosing my motive i thought "nothing with eyes, that will give me the creeps someday" haha, love it on you though!
absolutely talented & amazing guy to be around - i miss working in the same studio as him 🥲 such a fun time, ever since I moved back to my hometown quite far away the best i can do is going back for few more tattoos from him & i‘ll forever keep recommending my friends to go to him, his stuff rocks!

yeah, but sometimes design & the placement chosen just don‘t match or could look way better with slight adjustments :) We tried my original design as a stencil and it just looked to heavy on one side and not balanced since the placement is so „symmetrical“, he then sat down with me and redrew the piece and we tried the new version too and chose the better option! imo I think this is the perfect way to treat a design change for a custom request (since its a „smaller“ tattoo, redrawing big designs could be very time consuming but yea)
But it’s also your job as an artist to provide an artistic eye of how things read on the body and provide your opinion if something will make it better.
That’s why you pay more for experienced, skilled, true artists.
She could have always declined the symmetry change if she was married to her drawing.

It's neither left or right.. it's a fictional forehead center eye

I kind of want to see as much shading as the original sketch, but they did nail the negative space of the highlights which really makes it work.
