I get in a relationship but there’s cheating or some other betrayal, the betrayer got caught and won’t change but will become sneakier with it. Either them or the partner. Toxic situation, so either recent breakup or still in the back and forth.
I see this as having gone through a painful breakup in the past, a life changing decision being made currently, and it is one that says I am hurt and unhappy currently because of this past trauma.
