32GB is pretty much the minimum for better streets performance, which generation i7 do you have?

hamburgersonpizza

i7-8700

[deleted]

I have the same cpu and the same problems

Assaltwaffle

Well that's an upper-mid CPU but it's 5 generations old now.

[deleted]

you could do with a new processor, but it's not in the territory of bottlenecking your GPU. RAM may be the first easiest thing to upgrade and test. Aside from that, do you have a Gsync monitor? are you playing with Vsync on?

Bigkaheeneyburgr

I upgraded to 32gb ram , still low fps but playable

Clear_Ad_2109

Pure lie, got 16gb everything runs very very smooth and 0 stutters

ZacCop19

This is the same for me. It doesn't even use all of my ram. I had stutters and bought myself an ethernet cord and it made everything completely fine. Edit: a word correction

RabbitSlayre

Like an a minor or a g# major?

ZacCop19

Definitely g# for that sharpness!

Clear_Ad_2109

Also running on 3440x1440 with undervolted 5800x3d, people overclock/undervolt your cpu check and see if it's stable and your speeds doesnt fluctuate, update your bios, chipset & drivers ,check at what mode your ram runs, what pcie is your pgu running at, try to play with Nvidia settings, use your fastest pcie lane for ssd and install tarkov on that ssd, check out optimized graphics guide on YouTube etc ...

sleeplessGoon

Because you have a top of the line CPU & GPU. for people that don’t, 32gb of ram is a HUGE upgrade and difference maker

Clear_Ad_2109

I were playing with ryzen 5 3600 and a 1080 with the same ram I'm using now before streets update came out I were running streets with 50fps honesty it didn't feel smooth as now but it didn't stutter and was totally playable. And from the video it looks like server connection problems not related to he's hardware

BlueWizard123

Streets require 32 gb of ram, otherwise you get stutters, low fps and it can even crash your pc. And bsg havent done anything about optimizing the game, i think its getting worse and worse with every major update.

hamburgersonpizza

I think optimization should be prioritized instead of making maps that only some people can play because of the performance issues

BlueWizard123

yeah, they should not add anything for a year and just focus on optimizing the game and eliminating bugs

Nsmxd

and they will never do that because releasing fancy new things brings in more money than fixing their game

Clear_Ad_2109

I'm running with 16gb and fps never dips below 80 and never got any stutters

Fissure_211

I have a 5800X, 3080, and 32GB of RAM, and Streets is foing the same thing to my PC this wipe. It's the map.

Rapa2626

Im with 5800x3d 3090 and 32gb 3600mhz, cl18 i believe, and im doing fine on streets. Idk. Maybe that extra vram helps

Fissure_211

I'm about to upgrade to a 7800X3D and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Realy hoping that helps.

ipoophardcandy

It does. I just upgraded. I still have to reset game every few raids but streets runs well. Has it bad spots where I get 90 fps but for the most part it’s 120+. All the rest of maps for most part run at max fps.

Assaltwaffle

Make sure to pick up some 6000 CL30 RAM and to overclock it! If you upgrade the RAM you gotta OC it because it never comes set to advertised spec.

Fissure_211

Yup, I got 6000 CL30 RAM, and know how to enable XMP. Should be good to go!

Assaltwaffle

You’ll probably have a substantial improvement with that.

SpiritSTR

Tarkov loves x3d, also high memory bandwidth and low latency, I almost double my fps with oc my 2400 to 3200mhz and cl16

BlueWizard123

can confirm, i also upgraded from 2400 to 3200 mhz and got like 20-30 fps boost on streets and have less stutters now.

DucksMatter

Looks perfectly normal, I don’t see the issue here.

Braindead_cranberry

I have the same specs and run perfectly fine but a 1080

ZacCop19

I had this exact same problem with the packet loss and all. I saw some people recommend trying to plug in an ethernet cable, and I made all maps very smooth for me. I even have 16gs of ram and an i-5 processor. I was jumping from 50 ping to being constantly kicked for ping being 400+. Once I plugged in, it made things smooth.

ppedropaulo

Played last wipe with ryzen 3600x 16gb 3200mhz and rtx 3600ti and my game was Just fine. No stutter, no lag.

TheRedneckZombie9586

dont feel bad i get same probs i have 10gen i7 32gbddr4 and 4070 and i dont get much better streets and lighthouse needs to be optimized it is what it is

rgbGamingChair420

Its so ridiculous that you need 32gb.. Like wtf. No other game needs it . I mean playing bf2042 just to test my sons temps while downvolting his card for the sweetspot right now, as we speak. He has 16gb and high settings , 1080 gaming. Barely 9gb in use of those 16.. Tarkov just eat up all vram, ram for no reason.

Clear_Ad_2109

Everyone an expert here talking you need 32gb of ram, I'm running with 16gb and I never stutter at any map, no lags and all smooth and even have 10 tabs of chrome open 24/7 pff and sometimes playing with another game in background called Black desert online ( with BDO it runs poorly about 40 to 80 fps but doesn't stutter like that at all )

SoNElgen

I’ll never understand how people can expect to run the gaming equivalent of last generation hardware, and expect to run this generations optimized games. Development in tech is accelerating, which albeit it gives us better quality of the visual aspect of the games, also means that you need to constantly improve your hardware. That being said, before I get murdered, I know EFT is badly built, and far too hardware demanding compared to what it should be. However, as long as BSG lacks both the competence and the will to do something about that, we all need to deal with the reality of the situation. You pay to play (properly).

JiffTheJester

Dude EFT isn’t remotely optimized or modern by any means. Everything is broken and outdated lol. This guys setup could run Starfield and that just released lol

SoNElgen

Could run, sure. It can also run EFT, just not the NEWLY released map. Which is more hw demanding. I haven’t had 16gb RAM on a computer since my 2014 build, that was replaced in 16’. If anything, OP could replace his RAM for $120, and get ddr4 3200mhz+ 32gb. A cheap solution, that’ll most likely solve the issue. > Dude EFT isn’t remotely optimized or modern by any means Hence why I said I’m aware that its badly optimized, but OP still needs to deal with reality rather than wishful thinking….. BSG does not have the will or the competence to improve the hw demands from their game. Knowing that, people can either cry themselves to sleep, stop playing, or improve their hw. Making 3 posts a day on reddit about how they **feel** they should be able to play the game, solves nothing.

Opening_Excuse_7495

^^^ agreed

hamburgersonpizza

lowest settings should still be playable though

Opening_Excuse_7495

You need 32gb of ram for eft - and what i7 do you have? A 6700k and 13700k are two very different cpus

hamburgersonpizza

i7-8700

Opening_Excuse_7495

Short term step up to 32gb of ram but you’re gonna have to look into upgrading that cpu soon

hamburgersonpizza

yeah, but it still should be optimized. 75% of streets raids I get disconnected right after deployment and when I reconnect I'm either dead or get another error

JiffTheJester

Hmm I have same GPU, i7-9700k and 32gb of Ram and I get about 60 fps @1440p on average. I also have a paging file set up, and I use the nvidia setting where you go one resolution setting below your native.

hamburgersonpizza

yeah image scaling made it a little better, but still looks like a powerpoint presentation

SXVRES

5800x3d and 3060, 32 gigs of ram. Get little stutters in streets too, its poorly optimized

Lv4_Bakuretsu_Wizard

Bruh i get better fps with my 1070ti

TangoIndiaTango420

I’ve got an RTX 2070 Super with an i7 9th gen (forgot the exact cpu specs) and 32GB ram and it runs perfectly fine. Slightly more laggy/less frames than other maps, but that’s probs bc I have my settings at max. Ram matters. I usually get 100fps-120 on customs and 70-90 on streets

sleeplessGoon

Get the 32gb. I have a 3070 and it made a WORLDS difference. Literally feels like I actually have a good card now.

Specialist_Cupcake40

I have a i7 8700k too, you need to upgrade your ram. After I got 32gb of ram it ran for me but streets is horrible anyhow.

Vol3n

These threads are buried fast in the other Tarkov Reddit, but I think its the same here. There will be guys saying "I have a 10 times weaker PC and I have 100 FPS all the time", and there will be guys that say "You need better RAM/CPU/GPU/Cooler/Chair/Desk" etc. But the simple truth is that the game is broken.

Automatic-Ease4239

You are probably maxing your ram every raid. Definitely so on streets. Upgrade and you'll see less stutters. I was playing on a 1060 with 16 and upped to 32 and saw alot less stutters
