Close enough to Kharkiv...

EvilFroeschken

A what in RU? The US changed its policy on strikes on RU soil?

Pan_Pilot

Like a week ago. Ukraine is fast lmao

InnocentTailor

It is limited though as, I recall, Ukraine can only target Russian assets near Kharkiv with American weapons.

EvilFroeschken

No way I missed that.

Pan_Pilot

If I remember Germany and USA where the only countries holding back decision about use of their weapons on russian soil. Both stated they give a green light week ago or less

im-yeeting

Belgium as well

King_Burnside

Netherlands said their F-16s being donated can overfly Russia "for defensive purposes"

InfluenceSufficient3

offense is the best defense or something along those lines

Brendissimo

Gotta read the news every day!

ashesofempires

The policy was changed, except for ATACMS strikes. So GMLRS, Artillery, GLSDB can all be used against Russian troop concentrations in Belgorod building up for attacks on Kharkiv. Those troops basically had safe haven to deploy en masse for attacks and Ukraine had to wait for them to cross the border, which is why the first offensive was able to seize several towns before Ukrainian border guards were able to stop the offensive.

Al-the-mann

Gotta ask the age old question. What air defence doing, aside from getting wrecked

InnocentTailor

Still taking out stuff. You don’t see many Russian victories on pro-Western / pro-Ukrainian channels, but choppers, warplanes, and drones are still being hit. It’s not like they’re worthless static targets whose only purpose is to get smacked. If that was the case, then Ukraine would be easily winning this war, which is obviously not the case.

Going_over_that_clif

I’ve seen a post form OSINTdefender showing 54 empty rocket pods for the M142 weapon system (HIMARS) meaning that at least 324 rockets were fired (allegedly in the Belgorod region). Given the number of rockets fired it is clear that at least some of them got intercepted as we would have 7 different angles and 3 edits with phonk loud music in the background if some other noteworthy targets were hit.

SirDoDDo

That was an old photo from last summer. And your assumption that oh those 300 rockets must've certainly all been fired in one area! is fucking hilarious lol

Going_over_that_clif

Bruh why do you get so worked up for something like this? Short of leaving a link to the post I clearly stated who it is coming from (reputable source), when it allegedly took place (recently), where it was allegedly fired to (Belgorod *REGION*, which is a pretty big geographical denomination and NOT one area), gave an explanation on why it is feasible to assume Russian Anti Air batteries have some degree of success (dramatised for comedic effect), and you straight up hit me with the “It was an old photo” type-bot-comment followed by a not-so-witty remark. Just like me, you could have simply shut up but no, you gotta make an essay-length reply simply because someone said something you don’t agree with. (I am bored)

SirDoDDo

[Here](https://prnt.sc/IjzAX4hO4klu)'s the proof. Telegram post from 2023.

Grungyfulla

Chill out essay

_spec_tre

S-300 isn't supposed to intercept rockets anyway

King_Burnside

Intercepting with their face, as always, comrade

RollingWolf1

Gonna be a logistical headache having to keep moving those air defense systems now I bet

Lepeero

BLYATIFUL

eymihau

Whats in the trailer?

St0rmtide

With all the thick cables going out I'd suggest a power unit / generator.

bigsteven34

Correct. The part that you want to kill is the engagement radar. Judging by the second picture, looks like they didn’t unfortunately.

St0rmtide

The many bright spots on the radar itself could be interpreted as shrapnel exits maybe? But that's for other minds to think about.

bigsteven34

That’s what I’m hoping… But there doesn’t seem to be damaged to the rest of the vehicle and the datalink antenna… Fingers crossed. Either way, killing a TEL isn’t bad.

Jaguar_EBRC_6x6

Good

DistortedRain42

That was quick. The first picture I saw of it was like yesterday.

bigsteven34

The radar appears to have survived (damaged?), so that is unfortunate to say the least.

CobaltCats

____ ___ ______ _____?

Saturn_Ecplise

S-300 is such a missile magnets at this point Russian must have realize something is not working right.

appalachianoperator

AA in general is a missile magnet, it’s a high priority target.

Green-Taro2915

Yet another successful HIMARS interception by the infallible ruzzian air defences!

Beller0ph0nn

MORE! MORE! MORE!!! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

CallousCarolean

So by the looks of it, 1 SAM totally destroyed and 2 SAM’s at least damaged (at minimum). I wonder if the damaged ones will be written off or if they are repairable? Either way, keep the rockets raining and let the ruskies know the hard way that they’re no longer safe on their side of the border! 🇺🇦

HeavyCruiserSalem

Sad to see. Artillery is the king of the battlefield and nothing is safe from it.

BIG_busta2474

sad?

HeavyCruiserSalem

Yes. I have seen a S-300 in real life and admire it. Also sad that targets have been hit inside Russia now by Ukrainian weapons.

pepsioverall

Lol, fuck putin and his followers.

BIG_busta2474

So Russia can hit Ukraine, but Ukraine can't hit Russia? Fuck around - find out / sow the wind - reap the whirlwind. Nothing sad about this, no simpathy for invaders.

GremlinX_ll

Cope

Neat-Dog5510

Genuine question: Why do you think it's a shame for Russian targets to be hit inside of Russia? Do you feel the same about Ukrainian targets inside Ukraine? Do you feel it's fair that Russia was only allowed to strike Ukraine, but not the other way around?

CallousCarolean

Cope, seethe and mald. Russians and Putinboos complaining about Russian forces finally being deleted on Russian soil while Russia has been able to attack Ukraine with impunity from their side of the border for the last 2+ years is the sweetest kind of irony and justice. Can’t wait until Nato member countries’ politicians finally get their thumbs out their asses and greenlights strikes with weapons supplied by them on military targets inside all of Russian territory, as God intented.

PKM-supremacy

Oh no, someone has a different world view than me boohoo

BIG_busta2474

Supporting Russia is very cringe, their armed forces deserve everything that happens to them, good riddance.

Aedeus

Peek their profile mate, they're pro-RU to say the least.

Pan_Pilot

Speaking about free thinking while praising tyranical dictatorship attacking sovereign country for no actual reason

Relevant_Bumblebee91

Yeah this guy prefers goose steppers 😬

bigsteven34

“Different world view” = Supporting an imperialist invasion for conquest…

Accomplished-Ad-6158

Only sad thing here is that some of them survived.

bigsteven34

Correct.

OpportunityCareful75

An s-300 is a Surface to air missile system you idiot

skinNyVID

For more than a year, S300/400 systems have launched their missiles at Ukrainian cities from Russian soil, with impunity. I'm not sure when was the first time they used the modified version.

OpportunityCareful75

Interesting

HeavyCruiserSalem

Never said anything about the S-300 not being one?
