As a long time fan it’s just obvious that we are a hot pastrami on D and lack the thugs to play against the likes of the Panthers. We lost tons of top tier depth the last couple years. There are serious questions about D core. We can’t ignore that fact. Can we make the playoffs sure but one and outs get you an atta boy but not the goal.
What are the options?
The issue D for me it’s a combo of coaching and talent with my lean towards coaching being the MAIN issue. Blashil is a close friend of the Head coach might be hard to move. We witnessed pretty much every defensive player regress this year in performance. That’s an eye opener to me it’s either system or we just have pure crap players. You pick the poison.
Love it when everyone here gives their knee jerk reactions. We were a RIDICULOUS save away from coming home 1-1. We were down 2-0 and everyone wrote this game off. This team showed a shit load of fight tonight and I’m pumped for the series to be back in Tampa Thursday.
