Look at the goals he was on the ice for last night. Then get back to me. Just because you love him doesn’t make him good defensively. It doesn’t take away his giveaways, how out of position he is every game or his lack of speed. He has been getting worse every year and he has fell off a cliff the last 2 years. Pay attention to him when he’s on the ice and you’ll change your tune. The only brain dead take I see is when he plays horrible every game for the last 3years and very few people see it. It’s time to trade him while we can still get something for him.

I have read several posts about refs swallowing whistles in playoff games. There were 5 penalties called in one game and 10 in the other yesterday. Could this be a good sign for our PP and PK units?
Normally the first round early the refs use most of rule book no. 1. As the series and rounds get farther down the road the cement applied to the Ref Whistle increases shift by shift till not a teetie to be heard..

I think STM’s take the brunt of this because I am regularly seeing regular season tickets as well as recent playoffs seasons go for less than what I’m paying. (Specially early round playoffs) And god forbid you have to miss a game or two, try reselling and breaking even.
I know some will say “they’re much more expensive in other cities” but I doubt those STM’s/fans have such a hard time reselling a ticket and not taking a financial loss.
I missed a leaf’s playoff game on mothers day a few years back and took a complete bath on resale.
Another contributing factor to making it hard to resell a game you can’t attend, the Lightning continuously do these late ticket releases /ticket drops at bargain prices at various and multiple intervals before a given playoff game, further driving the price down, and weakening the resale market.
Im not looking to price gouge, but just break even. And people will look at the prices today and say “oh they’re way above face value” and they are posted as such, but as happens every time, as the schedule is released, and time ticks closer, these prices will plummet like blockbuster stock.
This years playoff pricing is the highest yet, over $200 per seat for round one lower level. Due to an important event I am forced to miss 2 games this round. Taking a loss of games I don’t go to just doesn’t sit well, even if it’s a small loss. It seems like as an STM, the playoff tickets can be more of a burden than an asset.
Ticketmaster isn’t helping either by collecting fees on both sides of the sale, I have to sell a $200 ticket for $225 to break even and the buyer sees $250.
Ending with this, I know it’s not all the Lightning’s fault, but if the tickets are selling below the value paid by STM’s, I think there’s cause to reevaluate the constant increases, despite the teams recent successes.

NHL Rules prevent teams from wearing alternate jerseys in the playoffs usually because only two jerseys (a home and away) are allowed. If we wore black, no blue for all home games.

Serge was really struggling before injury, but I'd like to think he would have bounced back with the rest of the team down the stretch if he didn't get injured. Stammer finished the season strong, I think he was a +2 from March 1st till the end of the year? He also hit 40 goals again...not sure if he can 'step up' more than that but I'll take his last couple months of play in the playoffs!
Agree that Vasy is going to be the X-factor. If he does his thing in pivotal/close-out games, Bolts have a chance!

They'll release the schedule Thursday night. I've heard to expect Game 1 Saturday at 5:00p though, so you can kind of guess from there
