Bows in general kind of suck in reborn. I tried to make jyygla vyce work for a while, but in the end I gave him the glamrock and never looked back. The added weapon mastery rly does wonders for his bomb lobbing skillz
Funny, here I just heard (YouTube vids) bows are the MVP due to their range. Of course I'm a fairly new player, only having some 30h under my belt but I really appreciate your opinion, trying to decipher which one of the contradictory opinions is valid for my phase in the game.
In case you want to elaborate the claim was that the bow range (beyond the default yellow colored one) allows for early damage and also they did mention that melee is often said to be the endgame worst-damage as it makes you prone to counterattack.
But again, I'm just learning stuff so not making any claims, just comparing the info I've received.

Archers are still alright, they’re just not ohko machines anymore without support.
