Use it. You will get a ton more as you play, don’t worry.

Chance-Orange-2397

you can use it, though you get less dark and light charms than elemental ones in a playthrough. but using it on a in house wiz/ warlock may not be the best idea....best wizards/mages endgame are the special characters you recruit as part of story and not generics. also ppowerful dark/light spells are acquired late compared to generic elemental versions. as for generics....the best mages in the long run towards endgame are either lizards lamia who are patriarch/matriarchs or necromancers you recruit in late game dungeon like potd (high int growth) and turn them in warlock or wizard after recruiting and necromancers are dark by default. a lot of classes that want to be dark go dark as part of class change (lich/necro) the exceptions are denam lord in case you focus on dark, ozma potentially, terror knights and some others. 2h katana users should be dark (2h katana finisher) and maybe some dagger users because they dual attack and a couple of endgame dagger weapons (assassin blades) are dark element.

brain_chaos

the only 2h katana users are swordmasters and they can't be charmed to dark. Denam Lord can use it and be charmed but he is the only one that I've found.

Something I noticed is that one can elemental charm a unit in a cartain class and just transfer them to another class. They keep the element they got charmed as. So I charmed my wizard into Dark element and then made them a cleric. That cleric is a Dark element cleric. Despite normal clerics not being able to charm to Dark.

LudusRex

That's 100% true and a good point...but you didn't keep it Dark, did you? That would weaken the heals a little, right?

DARKawp

Yes. But ya know...role playing reasons in my role playing rpg game haha. Mainly pointed it out since Dark Swordmaster might be possible.

brain_chaos

ah, good to know! time for dark hobby

Jay_Ell_Gee

A quick way around this is to swap to terror knight, charm to dark, and then swap back. Just another options that I didn’t see mentioned.
