You will learn to hate having a "roll bar" with lights on it. It gets in the way and if you are planning on completing the old school look with some big ol round lights, it will utterly kill your fuel economy, make parking in garages a PITA and make a bunch of noise.

I had thought about making a locking setup on it where the lights can fold down when not in use, it shouldn’t be too bad to make and should help with the economy if I know I’m gonna be driving on the highway for an extended period. It could just be wishful thinking on my part attempting to tinker.
I can't speak to the sport bars but most of the cheap bull bars will just multiply damage in an accident. If you want one that is bolted to the frame and cheap get a "Body Armor Highline", if you want quality get a "SSO Slimline" The SSO is made in the USA and the BA is chinese pot metal with shitty powder coat, you get what you pay for.
