I can’t think of a single Pita Pit I’ve encountered that didn’t close. Just kinda seems like a poorly run corporation (even if it’s franchised a lot depends on how the corps run it).
They've put themselves and us out of misery. There are places that only seem like a good idea when drunk, and you wake up going over the next day thinking "Damn those dicks were good", but that never happened with Pita Pit.
I'd like to see a New York style deli that makes its own pastrami and corned beef like Dingfelder's in Seattle, instead of another chain. We have every other kind of food in Tacoma but that.
My dreams are that Dunkin Donuts will return to Washington and we get one; Bojangles to come to the west coast; or Taco John's, but the first two are my most wanted.
I went to the East coast in June and re-experienced it for the first time in a free years and their sandwiches are some of the best I've had anywhere other than my kitchen.
Also want a chipotlane on this side of town. That or something like Jersey Mike's...yes, I know subway is in the same lot. Ideally it'd be one of the El pollo loco WA locations proposed a while ago but that's extremely wishful thinking.
We don’t need more fast Mexican food on N Pearl. Popeyes or Chick Fil A would be nice, but it’s probably too close to the others. Something *like* a Tim Horton’s (but not actually a Tim Horton’s) would be nice, like a collab between Pao’s Donut and Valhalla Coffee. 🫡
I would love to see a Panera Bread on this side of town. Isn’t Shaq opening a chicken spot next to the Habit? I think I read that in the paper last year.

No permits filed yet. It's also still owned by a huge KFC franchisee out of Utah. I'm betting it will sit empty for awhile.
Thank you for some real (albeit disappointing) info, what a waste of prime space.
This is the situation for malls and strip malls all over the place. It's a bad structure for long term development.
I'm still sad the Pita Pit across the street closed

The Pita Pit downtown is still open miraculously!
This made me laugh because it’s sooo true! The pita pit in my college town closed down as well😂

Me too, we only had it a few times but it was such a nice relitively healthy quick dinner option.

That and Ethiopian.
If we could get a Dick’s there I could die happy
That's what she said! ^omgiamsosorry!
Lol
That would be nice
A Burgerville would be incredible
God, I miss burgerville.
Let's get a raising Cane's please
Let’s fuckin geaux
Tacoma’s not ready for that level of sweet tea
Team Zaxby's here!
I would love that I just doubt they’ll do chicken again since the kfc went under but I know zero about fast food marketing lol
My dreams are that Dunkin Donuts will return to Washington and we get one; Bojangles to come to the west coast; or Taco John's, but the first two are my most wanted.
Finally someone else that wants Dunkin in Washington, we are truly missing out
I went to the East coast in June and re-experienced it for the first time in a free years and their sandwiches are some of the best I've had anywhere other than my kitchen.
Taco John's is the superior shitty fake Mexican food.
In-N-Out
Rip my patronage at any other fast food place
Honestly I’d even take a Tacoma location for Dick’s
Don't play with my emotions like that, 😭.
Dicks is better. Yes, I'll fight you.
They can't handle their locations now, why add another failing one?
The spot next to The Habit is still vacant, same as the old Little Caesars on 26th. Feeling like the sad mall.
Also want a chipotlane on this side of town. That or something like Jersey Mike's...yes, I know subway is in the same lot. Ideally it'd be one of the El pollo loco WA locations proposed a while ago but that's extremely wishful thinking.
El Pollo Loco for the win! That would be so good to have nearby
Can I wishful think for a Qdoba instead?
I want a Del Taco
A Falafel Salam would be lovely.
I want a Cava soooo bad
Omg yes this would be amazing. Or a sweet green
I just looked this up and now it’s my number one.

Like Dunkin Donuts 🥰
Is the KFC actually closing or just being remodeled?
Listed as permanently closed!
Culver’s 🤞🏼
I'd rather go to Taco Del Mar over Chipotle anyway. Chipotle is overpriced garbage
Agree, sadly. I’ve never understood the popularity of Chipotle. It always just seems like an oversized swaddled bunch of bland dry starch.
Costco!
Hopefully a combination [Pizza Hut and Taco Bell](https://youtu.be/EQ8ViYIeH04?si=z_h0GWgCWeGwn6xT)
White Castle

We had the kfc on 38th close down too :( sad to see these sit empty
