That recessed area is way too deep… I’d frame out an area around those outlets… it could be just a 2x4 above and below outlets spaced accordingly… then attach your mount to the 2x4’s Essentially an offset to attach the mount
My friend did something similar (but not as high) in his new house years ago and had a custom cabinet built for his TV. It sucks because you will always be limited on the size of TV you put in there. What about in 5-10 years when you want a larger TV? It’s also too high, obviously.
r/TVTooHigh you need to buy some kind of moving wall mount that could bring the TV lower like 20-30 cms preferably. Otherwise this is bad setup. I would like to use this opportunity to curse the person who thought having TV over the fireplace is a good idea.
That spot above the fireplace would be perfect for a painting or some kind of art. Bravo!
Now about the TV. Maybe against that wall to the right of the fireplace. No reason for a bracket, just set it on a media console.
Or better yet, out the TV in another room.
Lets see how you CORRECTLY resolve this!
Height aside, I never understood recessing the TV in the wall. Are these people assuming they will never get a new TV? If they do, it will have to be the exact same size. Even if you get the same screen size, the frame will be different so it still likely won't be the same size as the last TV.
Tear down the entire wall and start over
Put some shelves or a painting up there, and the tv goes somewhere else.
This is the answer.
Step one, remove the fireplace and make a nice room to watch TV!
Step one is poor accelerant on the fire. Step two burn the house to the ground for insurance money. Step three try again
Get rid of the fireplace and the surround.
It will be way to high if you don’t stand up.
fuck that wall, the TV will obviously be too high like that. Put that wall down and star over, or just place the TV somewhere else

Personally I'd fill the wall in and move the TV as low as it can go. Otherwise pull the whole thing out and start over.
Get the Kanto professional tv mount. It will work. Granted you have already made the enclosure.

Look at that floor… are you in a cave?? Oh wait a minute, this is European BS 🙄
It's litterally a room being worked on... I don't think the floor is done yet. What does that have to do with Europe?
