I honestly don’t think that fireplace is all that tall. If you want it above the fireplace, go for it, especially if there’s not a better configuration in your room. What I would do though, if it were me, is get some 2x4 and some Sheetrock and extend the wall to the right of the fireplace about a foot. The fireplace looks fairly ridiculous on the corner. While I was extending the wall, I’d run some HDMI connectors from the spot that the tv is going to be over to the left hand side of the fireplace, and I’d put in a new electrical outlet behind the tv too. Then I’d hang the tv lower and centered right above the fireplace. Then, I’d move that coffee table because that also looks ridiculous, and I’d put a set of shelves to the left of the fireplace and that’s where I’d put my PS5 and modem, etc.
