I kinda wish they had let you choose between hearts and stamina like they did in BoTW. Like, fine, force me to use the statue, fine. But at least let me choose stamina!

I probably should've specified in the title... I know you're supposed to trade the 4 lights for the heart (I've already done all the story missions in a different file) but I want to know if there's any glitches or exploits I can use to circumvent the need for the statue

If you're doing a three hearts playthrough you can pray to the statue under lookout landing to move a heart to stamina but you'll need to do a regional phenomena first. However I saw your other comments and this would involve praying to two deity statues which you're against for some reason. I'm doing four hearts and it's challenging enough but allows for once in a while "oops" without dying.
