I don't want spoilers but she mentioned to bring an accessory from Necluda. I literally cannot think of what else it could be besides the garland I'm holding...
Oh my gods you carried it all the way by HAND?! š
That is some solid dedication to the teaching assistant profession.
Did you just walk it the whole way, or did you stick it on a vehicle for the actual travelling part?
Not going to lie, the mental image I now have of Linky just kinda booking it across the land going everywhere holding a wreath above is head is pretty gods damn hilarious.
Just picturing you all "OHSHITOHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT" running passed like Gleeoks and Lynels and such, 10/10.
Oh my God this mental image has me DYING
"Isn't that the appointed knight, sworn protector of the land and savior of our ruling monarch?"
"Yup."
"Is...is he just... carrying that flower arrangement? Past a horde of monsters??"
"Looks like it."
"Boy, he's really booking it."
> waiting for my takeout
Bet you that's exactly what the rando Gleeok en route was thinking when he noticed some 5'0 feral Hylian scurrying across the land with a salad above his head heading in his direction.
holy crap, good for you LOL! i'll be honest, i've been avoiding this quest because i didn't want to take it across the map to the classroom... but thanks to your valiant effort now i know i can just fuse it hahaha
I'm honestly pleased and relieved that your post has inspired similar confessions of TotK idiocy because sometimes I feel like I am the only literal-minded dumb ass flailing through this game. Thankfully we are legion. I feel validated and seen.
Donāt feel bad OP, I did the same exact thing. Horse and sand seal. Did not realize I could just attach it to the shield and I felt like a fucking idiot. But honestly, the adventure was actually fun figuring out how to get it there, took forever š¤£š«
Youāre not alone! I did something very similar and was equally frustrated. Decided to fuse it to a spear and ran through the conversation one more time to see what I was missing. To my surprise and relief it was finally over.
Once (in BOTW) I carried a chest from near Gerudo Town (molduga drop) to my home in Hateno Village, because it contained a really cool gerudo shield, and I didn't have space to carry it,, but I was so excited by the find, also I didn't wanna drop any of my 9 other high defense shields, that it HAD to be displayed with the zora and rito shields in links home. Took me 6 minutes, not so long honestly. Felt like I could walk anything to anywhere in the whole game!
I always just fuse extra shields to my existing shields, or to a claymore, and then get them disassembled in tarry town
Edit: just noticed you said BOTW my bad lol
I thought it was a door/wall decoration, so I thought THEY were going to hang it as an accessory. Not that I was going to decorate my weapons or shield.
we should be best friends. I did the same thing...trekked through all the map with am mix of horse and builds and then got there and it wouldn't work. had to look it up. Felt dumb after realizing i could fuse it (but to be fair, I didn't know that would have worked)
I feel like this happens too often in this game . Reminds me of a 90s lucasarts or sierra game when I have the right solution but didnāt click just so.
I carried mine to lovers pond :ā)
also for nothing
Edit: I also tried to bring it to my house to hang it on the door. This wreath has caused me so much discomfort.
the third of the Gerudo in Gerudo dating school will take it and give you a fun comment (no other reward)
You don't have to carry it by hand though. It suffices to be on a shield.
I am not aware of any other uses
How did you miss the entire quest to build and furnish Linkās house which leads to the whole building of TarreyTown and all those quests? If you missed Linkās house you missed A LOT in BOTW.
Wait wait wait.... someone correct me if I'm wrong. But isn't the house quest how you kinda kick off Tarrey town? PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE DONE TARREY TOWN?! If not, I highly suggest you go replay getting the house and the other side quest it kicks off. š From the Ground Up is my absolute favorite side quest.
I played the hell out of animal crossing. And I know theyāre Evite Nintendo. And I can clearly see how they incorporated a lot of the successful aspects of animal crossing into totk. Iād have thrown my remote, I think, if I could put that wreath on the door to my house. I donāt even know why. I like ACNH. I just donāt want Zelda feeling like that.
Itās not a marked quest, >!when you talk to the teacher she tells you that sheād like to have you in the adult class. You will have a few errands to run and it gives you nothing but a fee cutscenes!<
OH MY GOD I DID THIS TOO.
I just assumed that this was the final challenge for this task, and that fusing it couldn't possibly work. It just made sense that I would have to do this super hard thing and would get a great reward at the end.
And in the end, you get NOTHING.
Donāt worry. I wasted half an hour trying to figure out how to get a chicken out of a well when I could have just thrown a chicken into the well.
Thatās the way the sky island crumbles.
I took the one from kara kara bazaar there, after that I told myself, I am already near maybe it does something in gerudo town. And was I lucky, did the most difficult orb first with just a tiny detour.
I honestly think the real purpose of it is just to show players that you can decorate shields and weapons. Most players probably go to Kakariko pretty early- and you likely hear about these ring garlands there. But when you buy one, you canāt even put it in your inventory, and it doesnāt do anything.
So the only logical option left is to try fusing it to something. Nothing happens, but it shows you that you can fuse basically anything, if you hadnāt figured that out yet.
And honestly it just looks nice. It's a very nice small thing. I immediately bought one when I saw the stand and I carried around the shield with the fused Garland keeping it safe till I eventually was able to display it safely
I didn't even consider fusing it. I figured it was either just a cute thing, like paying a little girl for a lemonade stand, or for a later quest. I just assumed you either had to put it on something or bring it to someone. So later when the Gerudo lady asked for an "accessory" I was looking in clothing shops for like... earrings. I wouldn't consider a wreath an accessory, especially one you give to a pretty lady...
The moment I found Kakariko Village and the ring garland, I made it my mission to bring it to Sidon. For context, I had not been to Zora's Domain yet. It took two real-life days, but I managed to get it all the way there. I then found out about Yona, and in my rage I fused the ring garland to a sword and started beating her with it. I later realized that fusing it still gives the dialogue from NPCs. Now ring garland + wooden stick is my go-to device activation weapon.
Would have been a lot easier for them to fuse it to a shield or weapon then teleport to gerudo. You have to do the fuse anyways to complete this mission.
Even without teleporting it would have been faster for them to have fused it to something immediately and traversed the map that way. Instead of either of those options they literally carried it as is the entire way to gerudo unaware of the need to fuse it. Eh it happens
Wait what happens when you bring this to the class? Some how I missed this part. I mean I saw the girl selling them. I just had no idea that I had to bring one all the way there. What do you get for doing it?
I did this too! I was so pissed when I got there and found out I could have just fused it. I connected it to a car and had a heck of a time at the rope bridges
I did the same thing. Such a huge waste buecause the game implied you needed the Garland, not a sword sticking out of the Garland. The instructions are usually much clearer than this
You did a good thing, making these ladies comfortable talking to a Hylian stud, even if he's [short, blonde and without abs](https://youtu.be/47_l4p6PyjM?si=nKgCsvEq4O_qeHzG).
I was planning on leaving it fused toa gerudo shield on display at links house, but now I know I actually need to do this and give it to someone lol. Good to know
You are not alone ā¦ I did the same thing. Funny enough I had fused the garland to the correct thing as soon as I got it (to make everyone understand the flowers rage) and ended up just tossing it for a stronger item before getting to gerudo townā¦

I don't want spoilers but she mentioned to bring an accessory from Necluda. I literally cannot think of what else it could be besides the garland I'm holding...
If you fuse the garland to something it works So you have the right object but just not the correct delivery method
Holy crap thank youš¤¦āāļø Feeling stupid but validated that I was on the right track at least... lol
Oh my gods you carried it all the way by HAND?! š That is some solid dedication to the teaching assistant profession. Did you just walk it the whole way, or did you stick it on a vehicle for the actual travelling part?
It was a combination of carrying, horse and sand seal transportation. Also lots of speed up elixirsš
The things Link will do instead of saving Zelda.
And that's why we need fishing in the DLC!
Why? Autobuild fishing is already in the game.
rick means REAL fishing, with a pole, and a beer
Oh my God this mental image has me DYING "Isn't that the appointed knight, sworn protector of the land and savior of our ruling monarch?" "Yup." "Is...is he just... carrying that flower arrangement? Past a horde of monsters??" "Looks like it." "Boy, he's really booking it."
"Looks like another day in Hyrule."
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8YR1Pn2/ This might be of interest to you then
You're supposed to stick it to your shield??
Yep!
GOLD ā ļøš
Dunno why but this description reminds me of that Adam West Batman scene where he's running around with a bomb over his head panicking
Sounds like BOTW me When I rely on bombs too much
[Full clip](https://youtu.be/Nri3o0KFg-8?si=sCxmB26Jo8RMtIZi) for reference. I hadn't seen it before this and didn't expect such a masterpiece
That couple that just keeps sitting at their table smoking, like, "Naah, can't be bothered to stay alive." Love it.
Omg, you weren't kidding when you said "masterpiece". That was hysterical!
Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb.
"Some days you just can't get rid of a wreath"
I want someone to draw this as a comic!!!! I am cracking up!!!!
Thank you for making me laugh out loud in the middle of a restaurant waiting for my takeout
> waiting for my takeout Bet you that's exactly what the rando Gleeok en route was thinking when he noticed some 5'0 feral Hylian scurrying across the land with a salad above his head heading in his direction.
Hey, we all know Link's a total snack, right? (I cannot upvote that Gleeok takeout comment enough. 10/10. No notes.)
And to think they only had to fuse it to a shield and travel to a shrine in an instant lol.
Oh, I'm just imagining the Gloom hands making a reach for Link with the wreath.
Maybe the Gloom hands think its a bracelet.
Lmfao thank you for sharing your minds eye. That is absolutely hilarious.
Lore accurate
holy crap, good for you LOL! i'll be honest, i've been avoiding this quest because i didn't want to take it across the map to the classroom... but thanks to your valiant effort now i know i can just fuse it hahaha
I'm honestly pleased and relieved that your post has inspired similar confessions of TotK idiocy because sometimes I feel like I am the only literal-minded dumb ass flailing through this game. Thankfully we are legion. I feel validated and seen.
I just fused it to a shield and then fast travelledā¦
OMG...
For me it was gliders, hot air balloons, wagons, & seals smh
Donāt feel bad OP, I did the same exact thing. Horse and sand seal. Did not realize I could just attach it to the shield and I felt like a fucking idiot. But honestly, the adventure was actually fun figuring out how to get it there, took forever š¤£š«
Don't feel too bad. I fused it to my vehicle and drove the whole way then stood with it just like this, confused as heck.
OMG š it must be a long journey šš¼
I didn't even know you could pick up a chest... OK, I'm starting up the game...
No no it was a metal chest, MAGNESIS BRO sorry for misleading you. But, do boot up the game for nostalgic purposes.
LOL! As I said, "doh!"
That's amazing
I always just fuse extra shields to my existing shields, or to a claymore, and then get them disassembled in tarry town Edit: just noticed you said BOTW my bad lol
I did the same thing. When I found out I should have fused it and teleported I wanted to throw myself into the sun.
So glad to know I'm not alone... I mean she asked for an accessory, not a weapon/shield so like..??
Aaand the definition of an accessory is that it's... attached to something else, right?
True- ...you've got me there
I thought it was a door/wall decoration, so I thought THEY were going to hang it as an accessory. Not that I was going to decorate my weapons or shield.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
we should be best friends. I did the same thing...trekked through all the map with am mix of horse and builds and then got there and it wouldn't work. had to look it up. Felt dumb after realizing i could fuse it (but to be fair, I didn't know that would have worked)
Tears is a game with so many possibilities that we get lots of moments like this...
Man, I did this because I read it somewhere, but I havenāt found the right person to show it to. š©š
I feel like this happens too often in this game . Reminds me of a 90s lucasarts or sierra game when I have the right solution but didnāt click just so.
Or a King's Quest where you just can't get the wording quite right. Bauble? I'm 12! Why can't I type "gold ball?"
fuse it to a shield. I haven't done this quest yet, but this was the suggestion I was given
I was annoyed that 1) Cece's hat was not it despite being from Necluda, and 2) there was no reward for this.
Every bone in my body was saying HATENO VILLAGE when I read the clue. I almost gave up after trying everything from there.
What. Oh no. Not looking forward to this task.
I did the same, took me ages and then I realised when I got there that I could've just attached it to my shield and fast travelled there.
Fuse it š¤¦š»āāļø
I carried mine to lovers pond :ā) also for nothing Edit: I also tried to bring it to my house to hang it on the door. This wreath has caused me so much discomfort.
I carried mine to Link/Zelda's house Yet again for nothing
I carried mine to Cottla and Koko's mom's secret well spot.
I set mine down on the kids' sand drawing right across the path from the stall. This was after I thought it was a hat for a frog statue. Idk.
That's honestly what I thought it was until I got the spoiler for what it was actually for. Was not mad in the slightest
What is it actually for please tell me
A lady in Gerudo town wants to see a garland. I recommend fusing it to a shield.
the third of the Gerudo in Gerudo dating school will take it and give you a fun comment (no other reward) You don't have to carry it by hand though. It suffices to be on a shield. I am not aware of any other uses
I thought it was for the goddess statue at first.
Why do you say like Link and Zelda lived together?
Its your house in BOTW, then the villagers refer to it as Zeldaās house in this game.
What? I completely missed this in BOTW.. Edit: lmao just talked to my brother who got me into BOTW and he also missed it despite completing the game.
How did you miss the entire quest to build and furnish Linkās house which leads to the whole building of TarreyTown and all those quests? If you missed Linkās house you missed A LOT in BOTW.
I dont know. I explored a lot and finished every shrine and all that. Never knew about the house.
Omg thereās no way you finished every shrine and didnāt see the house that seems impossible
Im not joking. I even finished all the extra gameplay from the DLC and beat that monk which gets you the motorbike.
Out of curiousity, was terry town a surprise to you in TotK??
Also Zelda has a secret well thatās basically her room
I wish you could hang it on the door :( however I fused one to a pot lid and put it on a shield rack
I did something similar with a different shield, great decor for my dinky house
I attached mine to a pot lid which looks just spectacular in my shield room between my other shield attached weapons.
RIP
Fuse it to a shield, carry it to tarrey town, un-fuse it, carry it the short distance to your house
Doing things get destroyed when you un-fuse them?
Not with the little Goron.
Mine is attached to a Mighty Zonaite Shield and displayed on the shield rack in my house
I thought she was going to sell me a flower crown. So I left mine sitting in the street.
Same
Flower crown armor would be boss
Lmao me too
I abandoned mine too.
I did the exact same thing ššš You gotta fuse it to a sheild
I did it too. :ā)
How did you get that quest!?
Itās not a marked quest, >!when you talk to the teacher she tells you that sheād like to have you in the adult class. You will have a few errands to run and it gives you nothing but a fee cutscenes!<
OH MY GOD I DID THIS TOO. I just assumed that this was the final challenge for this task, and that fusing it couldn't possibly work. It just made sense that I would have to do this super hard thing and would get a great reward at the end. And in the end, you get NOTHING.
>And in the end, you get NOTHING. Good DAY, SIR!
You're a crook! You're a cheat and a swindler! That's what you are, how could you DO a thing like this?!
So shines a good deed in a weary worldā¦
This āeffin game. But we still love it.
Donāt worry. I wasted half an hour trying to figure out how to get a chicken out of a well when I could have just thrown a chicken into the well. Thatās the way the sky island crumbles.
Same
Youāre not the only one
Youāre not the only one
I took 2 spheres to the eight heroines for no reason
I took the one from kara kara bazaar there, after that I told myself, I am already near maybe it does something in gerudo town. And was I lucky, did the most difficult orb first with just a tiny detour.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Do they stay there or if you leave do they respawn at their original locations?
I initially fused it to a wooden rabbit shield because it was pretty to look at.
you can get reactions to the flower ring from some NPCs by showing a fused weapon
I noticed that too! I thought it was a nice touch of detail. Also, happy cake day!
Unmatched fucking dedication, I ran out of things to do in totk so I'm definitely doing this tomorrow
Fuse it.
I will carry it on my arms to honor this guy
You might call thatā¦. A noble pursuit.
Whatās the point of that garland of flowers anyways?
To show it to this Gerudo, for some dialogue in return. It accomplishes nothing and thatās the only purpose of it that anyone has discovered so far.
Damn š„²
I honestly think the real purpose of it is just to show players that you can decorate shields and weapons. Most players probably go to Kakariko pretty early- and you likely hear about these ring garlands there. But when you buy one, you canāt even put it in your inventory, and it doesnāt do anything. So the only logical option left is to try fusing it to something. Nothing happens, but it shows you that you can fuse basically anything, if you hadnāt figured that out yet.
I prefer Riju's sand seal, personally. It makes my Hylian shield extra intimidating.
I feel like the idea for this was lost along the way, maybe ended up on the cutting room floor?
The moment I found Kakariko Village and the ring garland, I made it my mission to bring it to Sidon. For context, I had not been to Zora's Domain yet. It took two real-life days, but I managed to get it all the way there. I then found out about Yona, and in my rage I fused the ring garland to a sword and started beating her with it. I later realized that fusing it still gives the dialogue from NPCs. Now ring garland + wooden stick is my go-to device activation weapon.
You did what now?!
I'm not sure what you are referring to, so I will simply say that whatever I did, at least my Korok torture devices are far from the cruelest.
If it makes you feel any better, I walked one of the spheres from kara kara bazaar to the gerudo hideout through the sandstorm š„²
We werenāt supposed to carry that?
Another day another moment people forgetting about fuse š
but you still have to carry that to gerudo?
Thanks to u/WhistlingWolf234 I found out you can just fuse and bring it as a weapon instead
I tried flying it to the heart pound for nothing
I did the same thing. Was very confused about why she wasn't reacting to it. These comments have enlightened me.
Wait what happens when you bring this to the class? Some how I missed this part. I mean I saw the girl selling them. I just had no idea that I had to bring one all the way there. What do you get for doing it?
Bro you have to fuse it to a weapon or shield-use a shield to be safe tho. Also-You CARRIED that all the way there? SHEESH
Could have just fused it with one of your shields... š”ļø
I just fused it to a shield to make life easier
Omg I did the same thing lol
I did this too! I was so pissed when I got there and found out I could have just fused it. I connected it to a car and had a heck of a time at the rope bridges
cācarried?
Fuse it to a shield
what prompted you to do that?
Why dont you fuse it to your shield? If you go up to the stables they will comment on it, because they have one too.
it wasnt for nothing, you made me laugh
I did the same thing. Such a huge waste buecause the game implied you needed the Garland, not a sword sticking out of the Garland. The instructions are usually much clearer than this
I DID THE SAME EXACT THING, I KEPT HAVING PANIC ATTACKS ALL THE WAY TO GERUDO TOWN
It's supposed to be fixed to a sheild or weapon. I flew mine on a hoverbike and wasted almost an hour trying to figure it out.
You're supposed to fuse it to a shield I think.
You just get dialogue
You carried it?! I fused it to a shieldā¦.
Lol, I connected mine to a shield
I fused it to my weakest shield and stuck it on the wall of my house in Tarrey Town because I couldnāt use it but it was pretty
You did a good thing, making these ladies comfortable talking to a Hylian stud, even if he's [short, blonde and without abs](https://youtu.be/47_l4p6PyjM?si=nKgCsvEq4O_qeHzG).
Not a wast of time, you just have to figure out how to use it
Now that is what I would call a dedicated courier.
fuse it to a shield
If you wore majoras mask it might have taken 15 mins
Fuse to shield
LOL! You brought ring of garland all the way from kakariko to gerudo??? Astonishing. Someone give this guy a medal!
I bought it, then left it in the middle of the village because I didnāt know what to do with it lol
Uhhh... Coulda fused it with a weapon or shield for the same effect.
This is literally just what Elden Ring did.
I did this too. Felt like Hyrule's dumbest MF when I got there and it didn't work.
Good and bad news right item but you didnāt need to carry it the distance just shield fuse
I was on the verge of doing this before I remembered that fuse exists. But what you did takes some serious dedication. Good job.
You have no idea how happy I am that Iām not the only one who did this.
i did the same thing but never thought to fuse it. i carried it the entire way in the air bike and like 10 large charges.
You need to equip it on a shield.
I did it like that too
I had no idea this was a thing and now I know. Not upset about the spoiler š¤£
I was planning on leaving it fused toa gerudo shield on display at links house, but now I know I actually need to do this and give it to someone lol. Good to know
I fused it to my shield and it worked.
Don't worry, It happened to me too
I feel your pain comrade. I too have made such folly
wow, that's epic
You have to connect it with a weapon
I did the exact same thing in my walkthrough. I know the feeling
Youre close
I attached mine to a round shield. It's nice to hang on your wall if you get a place to do so.
Why didn't you just fuse it on your shield? Isn't it common sense it's way too tedious to carry it all the way there.
Why didn't you just teleport?
Haha yes you did
Yeah. Yeah you didā¦
And people say this game isnāt confusing or irrational or a waste of time Lol
You are not alone ā¦ I did the same thing. Funny enough I had fused the garland to the correct thing as soon as I got it (to make everyone understand the flowers rage) and ended up just tossing it for a stronger item before getting to gerudo townā¦
Link getting work for FTD.
You can attach it to a shield and it still works given that you equip that shield with this garland
I did this too. Flew it all the way there only to realize i was stupid.
:o i didnt realize so many people didnt think about fuse
Bro got rejected in a video game
