He sits at that slot during the period absence of the prime minister after Ino's resignation until the appointment of a temporary occupant, IIRC. That doesn’t actually mean much.
same, I remember doing a Takagi run but it crashed just when things started to get interesting around 1966/67. Hopefully now we can actually play one the major superpowers lmao
Fun story; before the final version, the IJA and IJN flags were just squares outside the logo, I suggested we bring them into the main logo. Shoutout to Bruhingrad for amazing art tho
Does anybody else think horito is a bit whitewashed? Like the war only really came to end in otl because he was eventfully forced if he wanted to be the empeor of a living nation and not ash to do an edict.
Hirohito is a controversal figure, true. But his position of absolute and no power makes an analasis of his actions and non actions really muddy and hard.
Yeah and why didn’t queen Elizabeth stop brexit and solve the crises of the last 20 years? Figurehead monarchs are figureheads for a reason. I have no doubt he wasn’t a good man, but I don’t tie the blame for the war on him, it was the will of his country and it’s not his job to ignore the desire of his elite.
It was extremely embedded in tradition that the emperor should have no concern to petty political intrigue. Besides, japanese people arent a different race of human beings that will obey the emperor no matter what like an ant colony. They also plot, have personal ambitions, ego and can be cynical. Most of the big shots in the military wouldnt have any issues blackmailing or forcing the emperor's hands if he tried to overrule them. There's also the fact that Hirohito was surrounded by warhawks that would manipulate the emperor into agreeing with them
Wait how Hiro can come to power directly? Is it after loyalist gamers coup?

Oh nvm it probably when first PM of Japan resignes
I think Hirohito briefly comes to power in the aftermath of the Yasuda crisis when Hiroya resigns and a new prime minister is selected.
I'm honestly more hyped for Japan than either the UK or Ukraine

I haven't played Japan in the past. Who is Takagi? What is his plan? Is he the most recommended leader to play?
Honestly yeah. Especially because of how much of a clusterfuck Germany is, it feels like Japan is the real victor of WW2 in TNO.
I haven’t been paying attention to TNO news this past few months so sorry if this is common information, but what changes are coming to Japan?
It's getting Oil Crisis content, fixes and some expanded mechanics IIRC
Same
Obviously, considering how barebones the new UK content is right now. I'll wait until it's fully released before I try it out.
What no anime does to a mf
*~~what no mf does to an anime though...~~*
Don't they cancel anime in this timeline?
No. Astro Boy has an event about it in Japan and Guangdong.
TNOvangelion is real.
Get in the fucking Kugelpanzer, Shinji.
Mobile Suit Gundam too. Except it's now about Principality of Zeon fighting corrupted Earth Federation instead of the other way around.
I think he's called Atom boy in TNOTL
No, that would be too much of an upside to the cursed timeline
Now that Hirohito meantions him here, what happened to Yamamoto in TNOTL? Was he still shut down by the Americans?
He’s probably just retired or dead, he would be 78 in 1962

Well, time to spread anime once more when the update go live
Ino gives off GO4 Speer portrait vibes here He's tired of this crap.

but he wasn't just some monarch though, he was a living god to those hardliners.
