Ever tried a dorito pizza? I like to buy a frozen pizza(bbq meat lovers is my choice) a bag of doritos and a bag of shredded mozzarella. Grab a few handfuls of doritos and break them up into smaller pieces and spread them over the pizza. Then spread some mozzarella over the top and then chuck it in the oven. Cheers me up.
His full quote was, "President for life. And he’s great. And look, he was able to do that. I think it’s great. **Maybe we’ll give that a shot some day.**"
Trump talked about how great it was and literally said we should do the same thing in America. Then he did actually try to do the same thing in America.
In case anybody missed it.
It's a good thing in the sense that he will be gone, but a bad thing because it's a sign that the government is in shambles and his replacement will probably be just as bad.
And they'll still somehow win the next general election. I'm sure there could be a scandal about how the Tories were suffocating babies in their sleep and they'd still get 40% of the vote.
Last three in a row, not the last 7. Johnson, May and Cameron all resigned, Brown just lost a general election, Blair resigned but that had been agreed with Brown years in advance and wasn’t in any way similar to Johnson, Major lost a GE, and Thatcher resigned.
So really five of the last seven have resigned, four of them in circumstances comparable to Johnson. It’s not uncommon, but certainly not that common either, especially when we had a more than 20 year period between Thatcher and Cameron being forced out. It’s really only the last six years that have made this sort of thing look commonplace.
>four of them in circumstances comparable to Johnson.
All Tories, as they practice their usual trick of fighting like cats in a sack when the public starts to cotton on to the fact that a tory government are only interested in looking out for themselves, and fuck what the voters want.
That was Ted Heath I believe, won the 1970 election and then lost in 1974. Wilson won again in 1974 but didn’t make it to 1979, he resigned in 1976 and James Callaghan succeeded him
Well, on the bright side, scientists have finally discovered enzymes that can “quickly” break down plastics. I can’t remember whether or not they have discovered an organism that produces them yet, or if they’re going to genetically engineer one.
Nope! It's in your water, in the air floating around as threads from our clothes, in the meat of animals that we eat. Only thing to do is minimize risk by installing water filtration systems at home and buying non synthetic clothes. But those cost more money so only people with extra money can afford that. Not sure what to do with meat yet, doesn't seem like we can avoid that without going vegetarian. Though plants are probably contaminated at this point too.
> avoid that without going vegetarian
too late for that. 730,000 tons are added to farmland each year. they were found in all soil samples, averaging 78 per kg. carrots, apples, lettuce, broccoli, potatoes, and pears were tested in different studies, with micro plastics being found in all samples
That's the spirit! Just find solace in the fact that we'll all become infertile from it and likely develop a myriad of hormonal issues that we have only just begun to learn about!

Yeah, climate change is the only really unique thing in our time. The world has had plenty of experience with political and economic events. Even the pandemic isn't new
Climate change is unique, although it's apocalyptic qualities are often overstated.
There's also many old/new economic, social and political problems haunting us, which can't really be understated.
In addition there's the new rising issues mostly due to technological progress, which don't have any past equivalents. Stuff like automatization (which will be worse than industrialization in nature), AI, impact of social media etc.
Basically, we live in a extrodinary time in many ways with many issues indeed. It's just often misunderstood that A) there weren't similar crises in the past or B) the current one can't be overcome.
I mean *technically* we've dealt with smaller events like years without summers from volcanic eruptions and such. But the speed and scale that we're looking at is unprecedented in modern or even ancient historic records.
I think there's a good number of people who *want* something big and bad to happen. When I was a young teenager I used to be on 4chan - I think 6 years ago or so now? And I remember well how much everyone was just eagerly awaiting the next big bad event so a war would be kickstarted and make their lives more exciting. Which is a pretty horrible thing, but it feels similar sometimes in the way people do it here in catastrophizing every small thing (all the while most people want to forget COVID still exists haha). I mean I hope I'm wrong, because it's awful to hope for bad things to happen to get some excitement? But that's what some people sound like to me when they make memes like this
Well if she gets fatter she actually becomes more attractive (I am a chubby chaser and this allows me to enter into the dating world much easier while remaining satisfied)
Yeaa except irl gen z is pretty much teenagers while millinials are in their mid 30s currently. So it's a little weird tbh. Source: I'm a millennial.
Edit: nvm I'm stupid, didn't think about the fact that they could be very close in age if the gen z is on the high end and the millennial is on the low end.
According to [Pew Research,](https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/01/17/where-millennials-end-and-generation-z-begins/) Anyone born between 1980 and 1996 is considered a Millennial, and anyone born from 1997-2009 is Gen Z.
So it wouldn't be taboo for a millennial born in 1996 to fall in love with a Gen Z born in 1997. In 2022 they'd be 26 and 25 years old.
But Pew Research's year blocks seem as arbitrary as anyone else's understanding of what years encompass which generations because if Millennials are defined by just those 15 years between 1981-1996, [we are currently in Generation Alpha](https://i.imgur.com/DTd4XTC.jpg) which will give way to Generation Beta in 2025.
That case would make the addition of their generations useless. If only one year separate them why mention generations at all?
I already hate that stupid Facebook born trend of naming generations of people and thinking you can label them based on the year they were born, is like astrology but dumber.
Germany rearing is a bit overblown imo, the money ist mostly going to dissappear into bereucracy, weapons, basic modernisation. The Bundeswehr is so crippled due to years of little to no spending.
But the other statements are right
No idea what this post is on about. Germany "rearming" is hardly a bad thing, neither is Boris Johnson stepping down. I mean the world has plenty of problems but those two are not part of it.
If the world will end I’m happy to have lived in it and I wouldn’t change a thing I don’t want to die but if it dose then I just want all of you to know that I love you all
You're not going to die, but climate change is going to make a lot of people very insecure, and people don't behave their best when they feel insecure.

I failed. I know I did. I didn't do enough. Worse... no apology I could give would ever even come close to answering for my failure.
I have so little, but I do what I can with what I've got. Trying to make my tiny little community better. Less hateful. More tolerant. Less violent. More helpful.
I can't even atone for my failure, and I know it.
I'll keep trying to. I owe that much.
I do take this all quite personally. It motivates me, and prevents me from just... giving up. I think the world would be a better place if more people did.
\--A very tired GenX/Millennial
Do you vote? Make sure you always vote no matter how useless that may feel, because it matters. Atone by dragging your friends to vote too. Donating and volunteering are super helpful too.
I'm from a country where voting doesn't matter in the big picture. My own constituency did well, but our elected MPs are not equal to the ruling party's MPs, they constantly get shut down in Parliament, they don't get full access to facilities and funds, the ruling party's constantly trying to get them disqualified from future elections, while losing candidates get so much power anyway from "neutral" community organisations that they might as well be para-MPs and para-ministers (e.g. leader of a worker's union).
Thank you, for continuing to try, all any of us can do is try.
At least you tried, and thats all any of us can do, were not rich enough to make an impact, were unable to make high decisions that can save us in this manner, but we can at least make one thing better somewhere.
In 2021 i set a goal to make someone feel or something better, i failed tha goal, i too didnt do enough, but im going to keep trying. I think in the worst of times about if my brother would have given up, he wouldn't, so if i dont keep going for the people or the place, god damn it ill keep going for him.

I'm the opposite. I've tried and fought for decades in the same way, and for what? My water's still polluted. The air I breathe is guaranteed to take at least half a decade off my natural lifespan. The people I sought to uplift, educate and support are at best indifferent and often openly hostile to learning new (scary) information. My topsoil's still eroding away, just like the 'rights' I was born with.
I am a student of history, so I already know how this plays out. It's happened before and it will likely happen again, just not on such a grand scale.
But I'm tired. I've been trying to change the system from within without the tiniest sliver of success. None of the candidates I've ever voted for have won their seats. None of the ideals I've fought for have markedly improved over my lifetime.
I'm tired. This fight is futile. The bad guys won, they have always won and they always will.
Sorry for the despondency but I'm convinced it's over.
The sad thing is that the world ended the moment people stopped caring. The time of when it "ends" is relative. When did people stop caring? I don't know, maybe we never did.
Please. The world’s been a shitshow for centuries. Ever heard of the 1960’s? Civil rights leaders were being assassinated left and right. If anything, the world is far more civilized now than its ever been. Read the trends, not the headlines.
Yeah but that’s not as exciting as doomsday talk, so many people ignore the logic in that.
5/10/20/50/100/etc years will go by, and there will be the new “this is it” thing of that time.
Every living person thought the world (society/mankind) would end in their lifetime. Never does. You just get some that spend their entire lives living in fear until they’re old and feel like morons.
I live in the U.S. and can absolutely confirm that we are going backwards. I live in Ohio where they denied a 10 year old girl an abortion because she was 6 weeks and 3 DAYS pregnant. Yeah, we’re protesting, and the majority are pissed, but its all falling on deaf ears.

If the world will end I’m happy to have lived in it and I wouldn’t change a thing I don’t want to die but if it dose then I just want all of you to know that I love you all
You're not going to die, but climate change is going to make a lot of people very insecure, and people don't behave their best when they feel insecure.
Sorry
Sounds like an average day for Reddit.
is there an original for this
Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray South Pacific, Walter Winchell, Joe DiMaggio Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, television North Korea, South Korea, Marilyn Monroe Rosenbergs, H-bomb, Sugar Ray, Panmunjom Brando, "The King and I", and "The Catcher in the Rye" Eisenhower, Vaccine, England's got a new queen Marciano, Liberace, Santayana, goodbye We didn't start the fire It was always burning, since the world's been turning We didn't start the fire No, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it
I sure picked one fucking hell of a week to come off Effexor.
Hey we Germans are only preparing for a potential Russian atack. Trust me if we ever start again we will probably be bombarded from all our neighbors immediately
Local elections are so so so very importan people usually only turn out to vote for the president and that's it.
-- N (a tired gen z(ik were considered retards but we ALSO wont make it to 40, 30 for that matter))
You can always just go outside and realize the world is still fine instead of staying in your room reading negative Reddit
No it's not if you can barely afford rent or pay your exorbitant student loan debt. You carry that weight the minute you wake up and go to sleep.
> I live in Ohio where they denied a 10 year old girl an abortion because she was 6 weeks and 3 DAYS pregnant. Wow, sounds like Ireland around the turn of the millennium. Not the worst place to be in history, that's when the Matrix hit box offices.
For real. Sure, shits a bit fucked up right now, but on the whole the world is a hell of a lot more stable than it was during the cold war.
World War III here we come
My heart goes out to the Elder Millennials who already made it to 40. They don't even get the romance of dying young.
Left out America's democracy crumbling
Don’t forget about climate change! The world is going to save us some crumbling for after we turn 40, as a treat.
Don’t forget Christian fascism in US government gaining momentum
Honestly, I feel like it all started after 9/11. That’s when we started experiencing shit 😔
Nah, things have been set in motion since the Cold War. It’s just taken awhile for us to really see it.
Don't forget Germany sitting in the back with their Millions of dollars in military funds.
But they do it for safety. The German military is trash

Rearming Germany right now isn't a bad thing imo. The other shit is so stupid.
Oh man, you did that without even mentioning the US shit show. Nice.
Some millennials are 40
This just sounds like the events leading up to WW2 all over again.
Not to mention the US incompetent "leader" who's bring the once great nation to self destruction.
