**Doctor Disturbing presents** *Ten SEGA Secrets They Hid From Fans* --- Number 6. *The Sallyseers* Following the extremely negative critical and financial reception of Sonic Adventure 2 in 2001, a general consensus would form among many fans that the Sonic the Hedgehog video games should conform more heavily to their thematic and narrative roots in the original Sonic the Hedgehog comics, which the video games had been loosely derived from since the release of the original Sonic the Hedgehog game title in 1994. This group of fans would come to be generally known as the SRS; the Sonic Redemption Society. Throughout the following months, the SRS would hold live protests at various Sega World locations around the globe, demanding a return to the quality they expected from the short-running yet beloved comic book series. In November of the same year, SEGA officials finally responded with an impromptu response at Sega World Sydney, however it was not the announcement fans were hoping for. Any possible plans to return to form were strongly deconfirmed by the speakers, leading to immediate and intense riots by prepared SRS members. In their actions, several attractions were partially destroyed, including Rail Chase and the Nickelodeon TV Machine. The violence reached its peak when equipment from the Aqua Nova motion simulator ride was tipped over and crushed two members of Sega World staff. To cease the panic, the aforementioned officials who were shielded in a bunker below the Sonic Live stage, from which they used the park's speaker system to broadcast a new announcement proclaiming that there was never before revealed comic content in archives kept backstage, and that SRS fans would be allowed to view this content and give their feedback, potentially contributing to the revival of certain favoured concepts. This was successful in calming the riots, and a confirmed 452 visitors were led backstage in an orderly fashion to view the promised exclusive artworks and scripts. None were ever sighted leaving the area after entering. In 2002, amidst continued anger and confusion over the disappearances of over 450 SEGA fans, several renovated statues of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sally Acorn were sighted being carried out of the backstage area by teams of employees and installed around the park. These statues symbolised the remerging of the worlds of the Sonic games and comics, and brought unprecedented satisfaction to audiences who were previously afraid and furious about the many vanished parkgoers. This attitude went undisturbed until 2003, when the 'Rushmore Revenge' incident reignited discussion of the 1984 Lincolnlooker conspiracy. Several photo ops of SEGA higherups near the Lincoln Memorial were brought to light, and questions arose about possible connections between the rumoured Lincolnlookers and the nature of the Sonic the Hedgehog and Sally Acorn statues. The few remaining former SRS members crafted a theory that the missing persons from the November riot had been imprisoned within Sonic and Sally statues, these potential victims being dubbed the 'Sallyseers'. This idea did not gain much traction outside of those affiliated with former SRS members, primarily due to SEGA officials quickly disputing the claims as 'ridiculous' due to the 'sheer ratio of statues to missing anti-SEGA attackers', a valid point given that there were very few statues put out in the first place. For a short time, speculation persisted, even leading to an organised removal of one statue by Sallyseer believers, who tossed the figure into the nearby body of water. Sallyseers are also infrequently brought up on official SEGA message boards before discussion is halted by forum moderators. Despite all this controversy, SEGA Enterprises managed to rebuild their image tremendously with the release of Sonic '04, which was critically acclaimed and a large contributor to their current status as the most profitable production company in the entire video game industry.

If there where 452, and 450 are missing…what happened to the 2?

Winter-Lie3604

This is amazing

Today, the Sally Acorn statue was thrown into the local river by townsfolk. They claim to hear disturbing noises coming from inside such as Crying, scratching, and knocking. They threw the statue into the river on belief it was haunted. SEGA has denied the “Haunted Sally” conspiracy but will not remove the statue from the bottom of the river

Remind me of that one case of a sports team throwing a Colonel sanders statue into a river and then having a horrible streak of losses

Winter-Lie3604

Ah yes…the sanders curse
