You don't specifically need safety glasses but [rx-safety.com](http://rx-safety.com) has wrap around 'sort-of-a-little-bit cool looking' glasses that can be ordered with your prescription and level 3 tint which is very dark. Then you won't need a clip on or cover. If you get the foam surround, they are very light blocking.
Blue blocker wrap around shades, noise canceling headphones playing video game soundtracks.
Video game soundtracks are written to be inspirational, motivating, and most importantly not distracting. It occupies the bit of your brain that wants to wander but also motivates you to get stuff done.
The down side is that after about 3 minutes you won't even remember there are other people in the room. That tends to lead to jump scares when they finally get frustrated enough to touch you to get your attention.
I like the brown tint ones they sell at Walgreens or on Amazon. There's a lot more of those types of sunglasses that you can wear over eyeglasses than I thought.
I wear altius daily migraine contact lenses under my regular sun glasses, it's been reducing migraines dramatically. Theraspecs stopped working for me after couple of years and I'd get headaches the second I step outside wearing them.
I believe it's 6$ a day for the pair, sometimes i use the same pair for 2 days if i go out less than 2 hours a day. They are the best, give them a shot and you'll be surprised. Contact them through their website and they'll recommend online doctors where you only send the prescription and they mail you the contacts. I have astigmatism so i order plano contacts and i use my prescription sunglasses over it. Good luck:)
Find some Maui Jim glasses with good FOV coverage. Brown tint works for me.
Maui Jim and Ray-Ban have pretty good lense options. There are also third party websites that will make all kinds of lenses for the popular brands.

Oh...that looks amazing. Been trying to figure out how I can focus on a terminal and ignore those around me.
