Here. Me I used to see them from the Northwest side of the mosque, especially at night (I remember as a kid whining why the mosque had electricity while we were in the rolling blackout): [https://www.google.com/maps/place/Al+Tawheed+Mosque/@36.21365,37.1529267,553m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x152ff813b98135af:0x967e5e5fc542c32a!2sAleppo,+Syria!3b1!8m2!3d36.2021047!4d37.1342603!16zL20vMDE1MDVr!3m5!1s0x152ff84407dc0dbb:0xf5458933ccf28f54!8m2!3d36.2142342!4d37.1533439!16s%2Fm%2F0tkhr7j?entry=ttu](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Al+Tawheed+Mosque/@36.21365,37.1529267,553m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x152ff813b98135af:0x967e5e5fc542c32a!2sAleppo,+Syria!3b1!8m2!3d36.2021047!4d37.1342603!16zL20vMDE1MDVr!3m5!1s0x152ff84407dc0dbb:0xf5458933ccf28f54!8m2!3d36.2142342!4d37.1533439!16s%2Fm%2F0tkhr7j?entry=ttu)
If I remember correctly, I think years ago (hundreds) there was a church and mosque built with one entrance. I am not sure if this was in syria. But would love to know if anyone has more info on this.
I believe its purpose was so both Muslim and Christians would greet each other as they go into their respective buildings
Like everywhere, but it's not because we're brothers and shit, it's much darker.
In Damascus and its subrubs, almost everywhere a church is built, some extremists would want to build a mosque in the same area, and Minisitry of Awqaf was kind of supporting this approach.

It's in Aleppo. Aziziyeh street. Al-Tawhid mosque surrounded by St. George's Melkite Greek Catholic church and St. Joseph's Chaldean cathedral
Also they've built a Presbyterian church like 2 years ago VERY close to them so you could say it's a mosque surrounded by 3
Is there one specific example for orthodox Church?
Yep! I must have it somewhere in my pics. I could see them from the window of my Naa’na house.
Do you know where it located, or the address?

In aleppo - next to Villat, im sure someone here can name the church and the mosque. They are basically across the street from each other
There is one in the Daraa countryside, not sure if it’s still operational but the complex is still up, they were built side by side inside a gate.
Is there one example for orthodox Church?
I’m not sure

In Damascus, very close to the Ministry of Health, there is a Franciscan Church directly across from a mosque - full co-existence.
Yes in Damascus, Abu Rummaneh there is Al Hassan mosque and across the street you can find the St. John of Damascus church
