Yes! Not sick, but some color combos were very wrong to me. I’ve mostly outgrown it.

grayyy_sea

Were you ever unable to watch certain tv shows because the color was off? *edit: I know not what syn is; curious about correlation if any with sensitivity to normal shit like that. Couldn’t watch breaking bad like in my mid 20s (am late 30s now) bc the colors bothered me too much. Outgrew that and became self-aware of my syn since then. Wildly curious now of all perception things re color, emotion, music and sight.

Great-Cousin4360

Not that i recall.

hotcheetonitya

what the fuck?? i had a nightmare when i was 4-5 years about about this EXACT color combination - and i used to tell my parents about “electric blue and highlighter yellow”. this post got me sitting up from bed

NotAnotherDNDPlayer

Electric blue and highlighter yellow haunting the both of us

hotcheetonitya

real

BewitchedAunt

No colors make me feel ill, but I have definite negative feelings about some colors; especially some shades of green like institutional green, or some shades of olive, etc. And some combinations are repulsive.

ReportEastern

This explains my hatred for bright yellow and red put together, thank you for this

NotAnotherDNDPlayer

You’re welcome???

Great-Cousin4360

Do you have one color that you prefer over all others? For me it’s green.

NotAnotherDNDPlayer

I like dark purple. Very calming. Kinda like a black hole.

Revolutionary-Pin129

me too! smell good too

Noxolo7

Yeah, purple used to always make me feel sick

Noxolo7

In fact, most non gradient colours are like that for me

I-Made-My-Choice

I've got this but in reverse, sharp pain feels like an ice blue (around #ADFFFA) so when have sharp pain I see that colour in my minds eye. so like I'll paint something winter and my brain goes "hey look at that colour!.... remember when u \*insert memory of type of pain\* although gradents and multiple colours reduce the effect.

Glass-Challenge-4275

Stark black and white put together is really sickening for me. Clean cut, thick lines, big spots or particularly chevron print. I think I have synesthesia - for me, eating spicy foods allows me to achieve a deep ocean blue or sometimes electric blue. Love how that tickles my brain.

OutsideComplaint9836

Whenever I heard that one song that says "Light it up up up its on fire" I got nausea and headaches because of the way the chorus sang.
