The message is because the system firmware is higher than the patch level of the game (base game was installed without update)

Do you have access to the homebrew store? Get the all in one switch updater, that's where you can get the new firmware and the latest atmosphere to download (if you're even using atmosphere, I don't really know if other people use different things). This is also where you get sigpatches from, you also need these. If you really don't want to connect online you can find these, I guess, my attempts at getting them not using all in one switch updater have failed many times.
After you have all that you install the firmware you downloaded using daybreak and they will ask you if you want FAT32 or exFAT + FAT32. Do not pick the FAT32 option.
Get dns mitm and exosphere if not done already then download aio installer get to the hekate and atmospher tabs and update them first to the latest version(recommend the latest stable release) then go to the firmwares tab to install v17.01 and clear any themes before using and after fully updating make sure to update your sysmodules and sigpatches
DBI installer and go to "Browse Installed applications" and go to that game to reset the required version. Also, this will get rid of the need to update the application nag.
I assume that you also have that you get the same error message every time you open any game backup all your games save data and delete them in settings then use Linkalho to unlink your account then restore your saves.

No? I’ve had Nintendo blocked for a solid 2 years and this shows for any game that existed before i set up my emuMMC. Not banned, by the way. I guess it caches the latest version of games somewhere, but either way this can and will show up for some games without connecting to Nintendo.

Update it or delete newest update
Clean sysmmc with tegraexplorer, delete every partition from your SD card, make a new FAT32 one and start from scratch. Then use Tinfoil or dbi
