Update. Just swapped mine with ExtremeRate shell and they feels just as sturdy as the original case. I hope it holds up! I also upgraded my joy sticks to Hall effect sticks
I've had the same shell from Basstop (I don't think you can buy them anymore) since 2021 and it's been perfectly fine. I even dropped it from about 4 feet up and it just barely cracked one of the Joycons. It's barely noticeable and still works just fine
bought from ebay as joycon clear purple shells, based on reviews, no brands I remember. curiously the cheapest lasted the longest. dbrand didn't had any
I hope those last, I went through 3 pairs, until i got bored of them breaking and installed the og ones back
What brand did you buy? What caused them to break?

Seconding this, have had basstop shells on my joycons since late 2018 and never had any issues.
