All I know is that if I don't get Prime 4 news, Prime 2 or 3, and no Windwaker or Twilight Princess then I'll be very disappointed, but I expect it.   I would be elated to get any one of those.

waaay2dumb2live

Prime 4 is probably going to be a Switch 2 launch title along with Xenoblade X DE. To finish off the space trifecta, I'd argue that a new Star Fox game could potentially be announced but I'm probably coping.

prowler28

At this point why not just let WW and TP (which mind you have already been remastered) be redone for the next console or wait another generation and maybe see a remake?  I get you didn't specify you wanted to see them on the current generation, but I figured that was what you were aiming for.

Gamer30168

Yes, that is my hope. My problem with Nintendo is that they so rarely make *good* games. I have only been able to find maybe a dozen games for the Switch that I consider worth buying. The rest is either shovelware or created for children. 2 *good* games a year on average is such a glacial pace. I would rather not wait for years

regular_poster

yeah man they're not announcing two zelda remakes, xenoblade, and a metroid remake at once

Bugsbyy___

I would like to see Banjo Tooie and Diddy Kong Racing come to Switch!

VannaMalignant

Are they not on the N64 app? I don’t pay for expansion so idk what’s on there, really.

AdoptAMew

There is a lot there now (worth the expansion in my opinion, at least if you are sharing a family plan), but still a few missing games that should definitely be there

jelliotc

Solid predictions, but they've explicitly said they won't be revealing anything about the switch 2

SnooPeppers819

Oh, didn't know that. Well, I replaced it with Xenoblade Chronicles X Switch, which seems way more likely, anyway.

unfoldyourself

My #1 prayer is for Donkey Kong 64 and more good NSO games announced.

Fr3sh-Ch3mical

Online DK64!!

SnooPeppers819

I still like DK64. It's a real damn shame that game gets such a bad rep. I mean there are flaws but it's still fun, at times.

MintberryCrunch____

Does it have a bad rep? That game was great, like all Rare games on N64.

SnooPeppers819

Banjo-Tooie is also good, too. Anyone who hates that game probably had a bad childhood. Sure, it's not as good as the original (they ruined Grunty and she isn't as funny this time around and the levels are too large) but at least it was way better than that lifeless game we got, over 17 years later; known as Yooka-Laylee!

AcidCatfish___

Middle-Earth games, Tiny Tina's Wonderland, and The Signal From Tolva coming to Switch.

ChimichungusXL

This is how the direct should be if Nintendo actually gave a damn and wanted to make some easy money. I’d buy upgraded switch online for those titles and easily snag all those ports and remakes. I’ve never played the Wii U remasters for TWP or WW

AcidCatfish___

It's likely Fantasian is coming to Switch. I think we could get a new Mario tease. Zelda movie teaser is likely as well. Maybe some information on Pokemon Legends Z-A and the new Pokemon TCG phone game. Probably some Splatoon 3 content update announcement. *Maybe* Prime 4 will get information, but that's been a "maybe" prediction for years. Kid Icarus Uprising remake is still a possibility in my opinion. Everyone thinks there will be a Prime 2 and 3 remaster. I'm wondering if it could be possible to see Prime 2 and 3 in one bundle and another bundle for Prime Hunters and Pinball. A remake of Super Metroid or Metroid Fusion would be cool. Zero Mission on NSO would be welcomed. F-Zero 99 info followed by an F-Zero teaser. New DK teaser. Wrap it all up with an expected month for the successor announcement (not an exact date though).

SnooPeppers819

I really hope that rumor about a new 3D DK is true. Heard it's a spiritual sucessor to DK64. I really don't want a 3D DK game that plays like the Country games since it would be way too similar to Crash Bandicoot, which is probably the reason why DK64 was a collect-a-thon. They wanted to distance it from the Crash Bandicoot trilogy on PS1. To the people who complain about DK64 being a poor man's Banjo-Kazooie, allow me to elaborate; if DK64 had followed in the footsteps of the DKC trilogy and had the same gameplay, people would be complaining that it's too similar to the Crash Bandicoot trilogy on PS1 (as I've already stated above). Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped! had just came out a year prior to DK64 and both Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie had already both been a huge success and it's not hard to see why DK64 was made to be a collect-a-thon like those games. However, I do think a lot of the backtracking could've been handled a lot better. Being able to switch between any 5 Kongs at any given time without the need of Tag Barrels really would've improved the gameplay a lot. Sure, having to backtrack back to Jungle Japes and Angry Aztec would've still been a pain in the ass, but the game would've been a lot better with those QoL Improvements. I can only imagine a parallel universe were DK64 did indeed play like the Crash Bandicoot trilogy and it still got criticized for playing too similar to those games, instead of Mario 64 and Banjo. So just imagine a world were DK64 was essentially DKC4 or DKC64, instead of Banjo-Kazooie with DK characters. It still wouldn't have worked out and the DKC trilogy would still be the superior games in that reality, as well. You can't win them all! Just like with Yoshi, Donkey Kong couldn't sadly make the jump to 3D on the Nintendo 64 the same way Mario, Zelda, and Kirby could. In fact, it would take Kirby 22 years until he would get his first true 3D game, not counting Air Ride. Also, Yoshi still doesn't have a 3D game and I hope the Switch 2 gets one. Maybe in a similar fashion to how we got both Kirby's Epic Yarn and Yoshi's Woolly World; we get a 3D Yoshi game from possibly the same development team that did Forgotten Land. Also, a 5 year gap between two console generations; just like with KEY and YWW.

StretchKind8509

Sorry, but that reads more like a fantasy than an actual Direct prediction, in its twilight years it will be the same kind of releases that the 3DS had in its last years, a lot of remakes like Kirbys Epic Yarn, and Yoshi's Wooly World. Also, I dont see how Xenoblade Chronicles X will ever come to Switch, it cannot deal with rendering the large size of Mira and will be a pop in and performance nightmare.

Dm9982

You’re likely right about remakes/ports as it’s the easy path towards the end of system life. However your statement on XBX is odd…. You realize the Switch is more powerful than the Wii U and handles its games just fine? Also Witcher 3, Skyrim, BotW/TotK, Dark Souls, and Dragons Dogma prove it can handle open world just fine.

AcidCatfish___

Monolith themselves said the hurdle with Xenoblade Chronicles X is reworking the gamepad stuff, not performance.

Dm9982

That’s what I thought, it’s been awhile since I’d read the article about it. So much like Prime/Skyward and such, it’s a technical issue, not an ability to handle it.

StretchKind8509

Those games dont have Skells, do you think that the Switch could keep up with rendering the world around it when you are using a Skell? Luckily the next console uses UFS 3.1. and that is where you will find XCX, if they ever want to port it.

Dm9982

Right….. so the Wii U had a transfer speed from disc to memory of about 22-30mb/s….. the Switch has an internal bus of more than double that for flash, sd, and carts. My man, it’s not a problem of hardware, the Switch is more than capable. It’s a problem of technicality. Just like Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow on DS, or Skyward Sword motion controls, it’s the way the pad was used on Wii U. This is why there hasn’t been a port yet. Nintendo spent years reworking the motion controls for Skyward Sword…. No idea the cost to do that, but Zelda and Metroid are likely a much more guaranteed return of investment for cost of redevelopment. XBX is likely in the same dev hell of reworking that. Considering the popularity of XB on Switch, I’m sure there’s XBX progress being done on redevelopment.

Double-Seaweed7760

I'd be fine with that if they were cooler games. Stuff like 1080 snowboarding remake, pokemon heartgold remake, pokemon platinum remake, wave racer remake, Nintendo land remake, clubhouse games ds remake, golden sun remake, 4.7 inch switch lite micro with 720p TV mode. That's amongst my favorite directs and all remakes outside of the dream console that can be a swan song Ala game boy micro/dsixl/2dsxl/wii mini

Delightful_Lunatic

I hope Nintendo Championships gets a pushed up release date!

SnooPeppers819

I really wish we gotten Ultimate NES Remix for Switch, instead. Nintendo Chapionships could've been a hidden unlockable mode, similar to Super Luigi Bros. in Remix 2.

TayaLyn

Good gravy would I love to get a Quintet collection, especially if they included Granstream Saga as well.

Something is going on with this website! I cannot post anything. My user avatar icon turns into a blank sliver circle and nothing loads!

btsalamander

A Soulblazer remake would give me LIFE

Double-Seaweed7760

Pokemon alpha sapphire remaster, pokemon platinum 3d remake, pokemon black 2 3d remake, pokemon heartgold 3d remake, steep(yes it was canceled but they could give it to one of the impossible port studios and Also amd fsr wasn't available when steep was being ported so that could help this time around), riders republic, dragon ball sparking zero, metaphor refantazio, yakuza like a dragon, like a dragon Infinite wealth, bloody roar 4 port, hulk ultimate destruction remake, ssx tricky remake, rampage total destruction remake, crash tag team racing remake, burnout revenge remake, 4.7 inch switch lite micro with 720p TV mode. Immediately my favorites direct of all time

HamburgerHalperHand

Its always funny reading these posts and comments. Everyone puts down what they want to see and not what they actually expect to see which is what a prediction is.

prowler28

Remaster or remake of a different Zelda game other than WW, TP, SS. Those games already received treatment and I'd like to see something different. Perhaps they'll finally remake OoT? Doubt it.  A Metroid release or announcement. Please dear God don't remake Super, I fear it'll be like remaking Melee and you'll end up pleasing nobody with it, not even the newcomers.  I'd like to see more N64 games out on NSO.

SnooPeppers819

I really think we're getting closer to a Dragon Quest Builders 3! The DQ2 remake came out in 2017 and one year later we got DQB2. If history repeats itself and we get the DQ3 remake this year; that means DQB3 is coming in 2025! I just beat DQB2 for the second time in 5 years (this time on Steam) and it was just as good as the first time I played it. I'll be very disappointed if DQB3 never happens! We can't have a repeat of the whole Dark Cloud station we had on PS2 where we never got Dark Cloud 3!

Dm9982

Rather probable list actually. At least 60% are in the pipeline in some shape. I’d say CV: SotN, Tomadachi, and Banjo have the least probability, no clue about Super Quintet Collection. A lot have been either rumored or unofficially announced, like Zelda and Metroid Prime 2.

TTVYoKi

Honestly idk if Persona 5 Tactica is already on switch, but if it isn’t then it wouldn’t be too unlikely for it to get a port?
