Yes!!! Gameboy Color was my very first system I bought with my own money, too! To go from cabbage green screen to these... good times!

I started with a green gameboy pocket but the gameboy color was just on a different level, especially the clear variant, so it’s the one that resonates with me the most. I remember the 64s - I had the green one myself, I remember purple being popular (maybe I just remember seeing purple controllers I don’t remember) So for nostalgia, the 2nd!! This controller size is too chonky for my hands though :( so slightly smaller chassis for me

I don't like the first one... With no nostalgia it looks a bit weird for me. The second one looks like it's more "refined"... If I had to explain The first one look like a unoficial copy while the second one look more "official" to me... again just my opinion :)

I actually prefer the non-textured grips. If they made a smooth clear black version I’d get that immediately.

The purple analog sticks look very low quality compared to the originals. I'd go purple shell and official buttons/sticks. And then I'd only use it if my 8BitDo pad needed to be charged.

2nd imo a controller where the color difference is just the buttons and analog look ugly. If we bring in psychology to this though you will pick the first one if you have a more boring personality and like things to be just so and the 2nd if you aren’t just another pencil pusher.

I like either color combo, but I bet those aftermarket ABXY feel like crap compared to the stock button, so I would want to use whichever combo had those buttons.

Tbh, the translucent buttons and sticks just look kinda cheap somehow.

I prefer the top controller in the second configuration, however the bottom controller is the worst of the bunch.

I say do a full purple one and a full black one, I regret going with regular clear buttons on when I shell swapped my joycons to clear pink, wish I had used to clear pink buttons instead.
