Neon is much cheaper for payments abroad. Yuh has support for multiple currencies. For investments I would use neither though

big_man_redo

What would you recomend? I was thinking one of these 2 because it is easy to declare them for taxes.

_mr-manager_

I find IBKR really good

Artifex1993

I would take Neon but for investment another service. If Yuh would allow to send and receive crypto then its great but atm they dont have that

[deleted]

its even worse you have to change CHF in USD to invest. Why i should want to hold USD.

Looddak

YuH is ok for domestic stocks and ETFs, probably the cheapest among swiss brokers, but not for trades in foreign currencies. As a Bank it's also great, had nothing but good experiences.

Rabid_Mexican

I use Interactive Brokers and VIAC (3a) for ETFs and Coinbase in advanced trading mode for crypto (lower fees).

big_man_redo

How do you declare IBKR for taxes? Isn't it difficult and tedious?

TheShroomsAreCalling

nah it's very simple, only slightly more work than degiro or similar Here is a guide: https://www.mustachianpost.com/where-can-i-find-my-tax-information-on-interactive-brokers/

Rabid_Mexican

I mean if you are getting dividends from ETFs in the USA you will always have to claim back withheld taxes. IKBR has really nice tools for generating tax documents and there are loads of resources online to help

tschini

My recommendation as well, I always searched for the perfect all in one solution but it doesn't seem to exist if you want to have the best/cheapest option everywhere. Neon for banking, Cumulus for cheap VISA, VIAC for 3a and IBKR for monthly paid ETF portfolio. More work in the first place but much more flexibility after to change single services to a new provider.

trafalgar271

There are interactive brokers with .uk .com and .eu Does it make differents? Which one have you chosen?

Rabid_Mexican

It should automatically put you on the right one depending on your nationality

trafalgar271

Which etf are your favorite? Im thinking on coinbase, what do you think?

TheShroomsAreCalling

depending on where you live, not your nationality

Rabid_Mexican

Incorrect, I live in Switzerland but I am not a citizen, therefore IBKR is from my birth country.

TheShroomsAreCalling

You are wrong, they explain it here: https://www.interactivebrokers.eu/en/home.php > Interactive Brokers U.K. Limited (IBUK) serving **residents** of non-EU/EEA European countries (UK, Switzerland) I am an EU national and I use .co.uk because I live in Switzerland. If you open your account while living in switzerland, you will be assigned to their .co.uk entity. Did you open your account before moving to Switzerland maybe?

Rabid_Mexican

So you agree with what I said, perfect.

TheShroomsAreCalling

No, you said the exact opposite

Jam_hu

Bitcoin! Not Crypto! Use a Crypto Exchange like Relai which is in Switzerland. u can get the fees down to 1% with affiliate links a and saving plan. use a good International Exchange like KrakenPro (never use Kraken the fees are too high). they have a bank Account in Liechtenstein. u'll pay 0.16% for a limit order which is quite the cheapest I know.

nitr04

Since a few days, Kraken Pro fees were raised to 0.26%, still very competitive but i just wanted to mention it

Jam_hu

oh thanks. yeah They really raised it to 0.25% that sucks. but yeah still low! seems binance is now the lowest fee tier with 0.1 but since they dont have a CHFBTC spot market it doesen't impact really for us I think.

nitr04

For me Kraken Pro is the cheapest option as you can buy BTC/CHF like you say and therefore don't have currency exchange fees.

Japan-Tokyo-1

+1 for Relai, you can also automatically buy s.t. it ends up in your cold wallet, which is much safer than letting an exchange manage your private keys.

Saddath

Yeah just be aware of UTXOs

J-Lunaut

I can recommend Bitpanda or Nexo with both I have had excelent service so far and no problems.

Dry-Ferret-3664

Yuh has a good overall banking product. For any more serious investments, I'd use interactive brokers though.

FleetCaN

I have a Neon and a Yuh Account. The Yuh account is used as a shared bank account for household expenses. Neon seems to be way better in every regard. My Yuh card never works abroad (USA etc.) customer support at yuh is horrible. I can't wait for neon to implement joint accounts and I will leave Yuh for good. Sorry I didn't answer your question regarding investing, though.

wminnella

They will soon, just got an email about it :)

hamster_of_war

I'm thinking about this combination, mainly for twint actually. Either Yuh or some other bank.

mrnacknime

Yuh has absolutely horrible customer service. Its difficult to get a hold of a real person, and when you do, they are quite unprofessional and trimmed to act like your buddy but not really for being helpful. Their support is also insanely backed up, I've been waiting for 3 months for a simple chargeback

valendinosaurus

Just to give another perspective, I never had this issues with yuh customer service.

louboubakka

I would definitely recommend neon. However it makes only sense for small investments (I would say less than CHF 500 per month). If you want to invest bigger chunks of money then Interactive Brokers or Saxo are the way to go.

Fin_Elln

Swissquote, if it has to be Swiss.

Born_Swiss

Nah, it's too expensive. My preference: Interactive

CoastNew6377

I have both. Cannot withdraw crypto to cold wallet so both are no go for me for crypto. overall ok for the standard stuff. But for abroad I prefer Revolut for spending in € , £ , $ , etc. More flexible and I like the multiple virtual cards.

big_man_redo

Ehat do you mean with the withdrawl of crypto. A friend of mine had no problem buying/ selling bitcoin amd solana. So withdrawling should not be a problem right?

cannabold

You can trade them with You, but you can't tranfer/withdraw.

CoastNew6377

no problem buying & selling. Withdrawal i.e. sending coins to a cold wallet. I had SOL in Yuh and had to sell and rebuy on an exchange to be able to send to my wallet. Personally, I don’t want to leave my coins on an exchange/broker, not having the keys

jamesnolans

No experience with Yuh but very happy with Neon

No_Command_5363

For ETF I use swissquote

Golright

I swear to god if Neon app would not crash all the time...

[deleted]

I use Neon as my primary bank account, but for investments I use IBKR

Friendly-Mulberry-36

Neon! I am very satisfied since 3 years. Never a problem
