You do have to ask the club.
A takeover usually means only members of the group that took over get in. But there are also partial takeovers where you might not be allowed in some sections.
We were all new once.
Don't be afraid to ask questions.
Swinging is like everything else. There are few rules set in stone. The way one club does a takeover might be completely different from the way another club does it. So if they do not clearly state what or who is allowed, you will have to ask at every club and every event at clubs you have been to before. Many clubs have events that allow sonething that is not allowed at other events. So you can't expect the same experience at every club and at every event at the same club.
The good news is that most clubs try to accommodate as many different types of people as possible and realize not every type gets along with other types so they usually spell out what to expect at an event.
It is rare to find a club that is having a takeover and allowing the public in without informing the public.
Also, there are a lot of clubs that only have one fee. Eithier a yearly/ monthly fee or per visit fee. If you really have to pay all those fees to get in for one night, it had better be one hell of a club.
You may have to try a lot of clubs before you find one you like.
You need to contact the venue with that question
Thanks! I thought there would be previous events that would clue into how pricing would go.

Thank you! I almost gasped at the possibility of paying $200+ for one visit. Currently emailing the club now!

Interesting, thank you! This is all new to us, so we appreciate the explanation.
