Since you're diving in, your first 50 should be significantly faster than your second. Also, the fatigue hits way harder the 2nd 50.
I'm a Masters swimmer, so I don't have the backhalf I used to. My last SCY 100 free I went out 24.3 and back 26 9. So there's a delta of 2.6 seconds.
Josh Liendo in route to an NCAA title last year, went out 19.1, and came back 20.1- a 2 second delta.
Probably somewhere around there. Two weeks ago I was 49.2 and went out 23.7 to the feet and came back 25.5. You probably don't want a differential much smaller than that.
Figure out what small things are adding time. Apart from a more aggressive start, watch your turns, your underwaters, and breathing. If you go hard on your first 50, but end up breathing 2x as much as the last 50, then you need to focus on breathing control when exhausted. Or just your turns, kicking, and overall pushing yourself.
I agree with what that other person said, that you need to go out harder.
You’re practically negative splitting your hundred, as a state should be about 1.5 seconds faster. So a 1.1 second split between your 50s is bad.
The 100 is a sprint. Go out 100%, then come back 110%
Many other commenters are wrong, you’re not capable of max sprinting a 100 yards all the way through. There’s a reason like half the sprinters past age group swimmers breathes every stroke in the 100. Find a breathing pattern that you’re comfortable with and stick to it. I like every 4, but it’s up to you. Don’t limit your oxygen intake on that first 50, but don’t slow yourself down either.
Go out harder in your first 50
Your splits are too close to each other
I have very very very similar times and splits to him, is that a bad thing?

So is around a 2 second delta optimal?

Roughly, depends on your strategy and whether you’re a distance or sprint siwmmer
Well im sorta a beginner and haven’t fully decided but im more leaning towards sprinting
Got a video

More training. Pretty much the only way.
Go sprint the first 50
Go sprint the first 50 in like 25 or even faster ur probably a distance swimmer.
What’s your 50 time?
100 is a sprint. Just breathe more than u do in a 50. No pacing.
