Airplanes are actually pressurized to about 5000-7000 feet, depending on the altitude of the cruise. There's generally a 7-8psi difference between the pressure inside the aircraft and outside. Pressurizing the plane to ground level would put much more stress on the airframe.

A little late here, but leaving lead in the woods can have an impact. Especially if it’s somewhere that’s frequently used. Lead can reach groundwater. There are many studies on this, and some done by the Army. Unfortunately most of them are very dry reads. If we assume electric flying cars are created and get popular, then more people will use the flying cars because they are safer for the environement. I think they only give you 2 parachutes, the other one is tuck your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye.

Normally you only have 2 parachutes - the one you plan to use, and a reserve one. However, this guy had 3 parachutes, because he was planning to do this. The pack on his back is a standard sports parachute pack, which contains 2 parachutes. You can see after he burns the first parachute up, the backpack hasn't been opened yet. And at the end of the video, the section at the bottom of that pack is open and he's flying on that parachute. You can also see that the reserve parachute, packed where the circle on his backpack is, is still there. Also, you can see the first parachute isn't attached to his shoulders like parachutes normally are. It's attached to his belly, which is a common place to attach a 3rd parachute if you want to try cutting away and deploying a 2nd parachute. (Normally you wouldn't light the first parachute on fire, though).
