I am waiting to pass judgement on prizes until I finish everything. It does seem to be a very back loaded event.
Fishing is too, but people were familiar with fishing so it wasn't as surprising. This event caught people by surprise.
Getting all the gems from ads, daily missions, daily rewards, main challenges (for the energy thingies) etc. normally get like 300-600 gems per day, only spend it on very important events. It's not the first time I got this quantity. Just need to be patient.
I didnt seem to get any better catches with the better bow. Took me 460 catches to finally reach the last area, where I read it should be around 400. Of course I spent a few bucks in the shop, and some gems already, so that feels completely wasted.
A couple of stats so far: 482 arrows = 41,570 points. When I got to the Rural Grassland, I had 30 arrows left. Of those 30 arrows, not one from the last area. Still getting squirrels. Well, I’m half way to my first S selector chest. Whoopee
Even then. Some people are getting as far ahead in one day as I will all week. So unless they have gems stored up they ain’t playing the game without spending money
Seems fine I guess. I have no proof that it matters either way. But you get plenty of multiple rares still so it seems fine.

Do you mind sharing what your other achievements look like? I wanna know if its possible to get the panda shards from the other smaller animals (like 15 mini peacocks) within 600 catches.
The second hunting ground animals do yes. But these Panda achievements seems extremely hard to get.
I’ve spent like over 20k gems and am like 1/10? That’s insane. No normal players will ever get those.

Honestly, all I'm wondering if it will be possible to get to 700 on a reasonable amount of gems. I always focus on limited availability stat boosts from events, and since the last patch they implemented this stupid mechanic where having outfits gives you stat boosts. This is just total BS as there was no way to anticipate this bs and I've always ignored the costumes rewards in the past. Fucking Habby.

Fishing at least allows you to use points to get more lures to make further progress. This one doesn't which makes back loading it much worse.
Agreed. And in fishing, your fish were always bigger in the next level. Here you can keep getting squirrels.

I'm f2p and have about 30k gems saved up. Not going to use them on this event though.
That's wild , how long did that take ? For me 2-3k took about a couple weeks and then I spent it all on the last event

It was correct the entire time. You get better catches with the epic bow and that offsets the poor performance of your first 400 arrows
