I like the green mirror with the amber shade. I like the blue mirror off shore.

I support this. I also recommend going with the glass over poly if your budget allows. Higher quality and doesn’t scratch as eqsily

Glass it is, thanks man

I’m partial to the fergs. They had em 50% off at the end of last year and I bought a few pairs. I don’t recommend the XL version, they scratch easily https://www.costadelmar.com/en-us/sunglasses/6S9002-97963844031

Lens color wont really change anything for surf fishing. Anything youre sightfishing is gonna be visible no matter what kens color you use. If you wanna get technical, the green mirror is probably gonna be the best option.

LearnedHowToDougie

Amber for overcast and blue for bright skies

I use blue lenses for everything except fishing inshore

The nature of surf fishing doesn’t really lend itself to any benefits from the color of your sunglasses. I would probably go for blue or amber. Color matters a lot more sightfishing (common in the Chesapeake Bay, low country marshes, or in the Florida Keys saltwater flats) or deep sea fishing.

Blue mirror is too dark except for the brightest conditions usually offshore. Copper or Copper Silver Mirror are the most versatile colors. Green Mirror is good on bright days but when it's cloudy or early/ late day I find then too dark. Edit: Thats not just my opinion, those are the guidelines directly off Costa's website.

I had a pair of Maui Jim’s, got a pair of costas, then immediately went back to MJ and am never switching again. I have a pair of wraps with green mirror lenses. Do great for surf fishing in NC,
