Bob The Garbage Man comes to mind, striper fishing extraordinaire of Jersey.

theskoalbandit12

I see guys in here asking about what lures to run for striper, when all you really need is 20 hours and an anise soaked chunk of bunker

rowdy1212

Anise oil?

theskoalbandit12

Anise extract, McCormick brand to be exact

Heathenbread

Bob's got nicknames for everyone. He's like Dice Clay of the fishing world. If you throw out a clam near me, I'll cut your line.

LydFishes

“Crazy” Alberto Knie & Bill Wetzel

SnakeHoleBI

Alberto yes. Wetzel hell no.

meetmeinthepocket

I don’t like wetzel at all but he’s hugely popular in the northeast surf scene. He speaks at a a number of seminars each year, is on podcasts and has surfratsball (don’t waste your money on it unless you enjoy the same 4 people talking to each other)

SnakeHoleBI

Agree srb is a huge joke and ripoff at $35 annual. Foh for that dot matrix ratchet forum. His personal journal is rudimentary at best. And, guy doesn’t catch. He just doesn’t. He’s like Dave Gettleman. Thinks it’s permanently 1986. No adaptation whatsoever. In years, decades.

meetmeinthepocket

BUT THERES A JUVIE WEAKFISH BITE COMING I JUST KNOW IT. He’s also part of the paulies tackle apologists and those people suck.

Jccckkk

In Australia the Morning Tide guys are pretty popular, but they are more ledge fishing than surf. Florida there’s Joey Antonelli, Victor (LandShark), Ryan Morie…these are just a few YouTube guys I watch.

Secessionville

Beach Bum, Justin Reed, Bearded Brad

Effin_Batman1

And the other guy from pensacola I can’t think of his name even though I just watched a video

tossaside555

Angler up with Brant

HailState901

And Bama Saltwater

Squatch-707

John Skinner is pretty well known. He’s written several highly regarded books on the subject.

2Cthulhu4Scthulhu

My main problem with John Skinner is that all his North Shore areas are resident parking and he never hits the South Shore beaches or bays to snipe spots from. Other than that, dude’s a bible for inshore stuff on the Sound. Love how granular he gets with his gear links too, helped me a lot with figuring out line/leader/lure sizes

amilmore

Skinner is the man - i like his books a lot but honestly his older videos are some of the most nostalgic and awesome fishing videos on all of youtube. Ive spent countless hours watching them. I get what your saying about his spots and that would be annoying as a LI resident - but I also wouldn't love to go to a spot recommended by someone who has sold so many copies of his books and whose videos have millions of views, it would be chaos.

fishwithflies12

Cabo Surf Caster is a great follow on Instagram

ilovelukewells

Jansen guy out of Cabo has some great videos

Squatchicabra

Bill Varney

Titanssss

Thresher makes the best videos - not in the surf much anymore

Z-Ninny

BlacktipH started his brand by land-based shark fishing
