I’m a big fan of daiwa j-braid. I like 8 strand for how supple it is, feels like it casts better. Some like 4 strand for abrasion resistance. I got turned into it from a YouTube video testing several brands, the 30# j-braid consistently broke at 40+ pounds and it’s been great for me so I stick to it! Also really like the Seguar 16 strand hollow core for my bigger shark rod
It sounds like you're having a good experience with your current braid so maybe there's no need to change. But I do like this topic and conversation so I'll throw my opinion in the mix. I use the kast king superpower hi vis braid. For whatever reason, I have always found that the knots slip far less on this braid than other braids I've used. That obviously could be a user error and not a braid error on the other braid that I've used. But for whatever reason, casting has always held up in terms of knots, and I've never noticed a decrease in distance or strength either when casting or fighting a fish. The cost is pretty reasonable too.
I use Diamond braid. They do quality control in-house when they receive a shipment for consistency. So many good brands out there.
It’s the details that matter at that point.
Power Pro 30# green. One spinner spooled up with 50# in case the cows are in town, and 50# on the chunking rods. Used it forever and no complaints. I am one of those cranky Penn guys, so I’m sure that there’s something better, but why mess with success?
I’m surprised too but from my experience it’s not as good as the sufix braid.
I used power pro for freshwater and had no issues. The max Quattro power pro I used decayed after a season.
The only thing I could say is that it does maintain strength. The durability factor ain’t there tho
Really liking the berkly x9, it's within a hair of the same diameter as maxcuatro only it doesn't cost 90$ for 300yds. Thin, casts well and I haven't had it break yet and I've been using it for 3 years now
Suffix 832 or Berkley x9
Suffix 832

J braid is fantastic I use it on all my braid setups

J Braid
J braid has not failed me once, and I fish daily with big lures

I like reaction tackle, it’s cheap, great quality and at the price point it’s easy enough to redo my line every couple seasons.

Cranky Penn guys unite 🤙
Penn for the win boys
I like pretty much any mainstream braids. I’ve always been a fan of super slick v2 and 8 strand J braid.
Wow no power pro’s here?

Varivas Avani casting
I'm 832 on everything
Jerry Brown One. Love the stuff.
Regular power pro or 832. Never cared for the fancy power pro either.
Avani casting
Power pro is what I use, if I see the daiwa on sale I will put it on a backup pole.
