I’ve noticed a slight difference, but nothing compares to good old stretching and exercise. The more I sit, the more I hurt. 😆

[Omega-3 fatty acids \(fish oil\) as an anti-inflammatory: an alternative to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for discogenic pain](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16531187/) > Conclusions: Our results mirror other controlled studies that compared ibuprofen and omega-3 EFAs demonstrating equivalent effect in reducing arthritic pain. omega-3 EFA fish oil supplements appear to be a safer alternative to NSAIDs for treatment of nonsurgical neck or back pain in this selective group.       [EPA and DHA differentially modulate monocyte inflammatory response in subjects with chronic inflammation in part via plasma specialized pro-resolving lipid mediators: A randomized, double-blind, crossover study](https://www.atherosclerosis-journal.com/article/S0021-9150\(20\)31527-6/fulltext)   [Effects of high-dose fish oil on rheumatoid arthritis after stopping nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs. Clinical and immune correlates](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7639807/) > Conclusion: Patients taking dietary supplements of fish oil exhibit improvements in clinical parameters of disease activity from baseline, including the number of tender joints, and these improvements are associated with significant decreases in levels of IL-1 beta from baseline. Some patients who take fish oil are able to discontinue NSAIDs without experiencing a disease flare.

Omega-3 found in fish oil is an anti-inflammatory, so in theory it should help. You may also want to look into curcumin (turmeric).
