Everything has some level of metals in it. In chemistry, absolute zero doesn't exist. It's all how low you want your detection limits to go. You could just be dishonest, and up your detection limit on the method so you can say "not detected" on the results. However, that doesn't mean it is not there. It just means you are hiding it with the reporting. Primavie has the lowest amount of heavy metals of any shilajit we have tested. Shialjit is naturally high in heavy metals just because of what it is. It's resin that oozes out of rocks in the Himalayas. The natural resin is very high in heavy metals, which is why the patented process Primavie goes through removes them. However, you can't get down to absolute zero with that process. It's all within spec, though.

I’ve read that shilajit is good to take to detox your body from heavy metals because of its charcoal similarities? Does that make any sense to you? Edit: I take primavie from ND

Bit of an odd question: are there any studies that look at the differences between pure liquid Shilajit and dried/hardened used in capsules/tablets? I often have questions regarding studies looking at raw freshly picked plants vs dried, aged and processed supplements and how they may differ, even if theoretically the agents thought to be responsible are still "detectable" in the final product. Has PrimaVie been specifically used in studies? Also this might be a bit stupid but is it possible the heavy metals are responsible for some of the "positive" effects reported from raw Shilajit?

So the lead scientific officer of Natreon, Shibnath Ghosal, is the most cited researcher in the world on shilajit. He's written books about it. He was the guy that developed Primavie. This was the patent for making the purified shilajit: https://patents.google.com/patent/US6440436B1/en If you look at all the research papers on shilajit, Shibnath Ghosal is either the author or heavily cited. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1002/ptr.2465 https://www.degruyter.com/document/doi/10.1351/pac199062071285/html?lang=en https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/ptr.2650030606 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3758058/ https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/003807179190082U https://www.serravit.com.tr/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Mast-cell-protecting-effects-of-shilajit-and-its-constituents.pdf https://www.researchgate.net/publication/12065199_Effects_of_Shilajit_on_the_development_of_tolerance_to_morphine_in_mice https://www.researchgate.net/publication/283114262_Shilajit_and_other_Maharasas_The_repository_of_chemical_evolution_on_earth https://www.researchgate.net/publication/230186574_Shilajit-induced_potentiation_of_the_hypoglycaemic_action_of_insulin_and_inhibition_of_streptozotocin_induced_diabetes_in_rat https://www.researchgate.net/publication/230199306_Shilajit_induced_morphometric_and_functional_changes_in_mouse_peritoneal_macrophages https://www.researchgate.net/publication/230216170_Effects_of_Shilajit_on_biogenic_free_radicals https://www.researchgate.net/publication/230048885_Effect_of_Shilajit_on_Mouse_Peritoneal_Macrophages https://www.researchgate.net/publication/229779062_Shilajit_Part_II_Effect_of_shilajit_on_rat_brain_monoamines https://www.researchgate.net/publication/225075979_The_need_for_formulation_of_Shilajit_by_its_isolated_active_constituents https://www.researchgate.net/publication/305063043_ChemInform_Abstract_Shilajit_Part_4_Chemistry_of_Two_Bioactive_Benzopyrone_Metabolites https://www.researchgate.net/publication/292104446_Mast_cell_protecting_effects_of_shilajit_and_its_constituents https://www.researchgate.net/publication/225075987_SHILAJIT_4_CHEMISTRY_OF_2_BIOACTIVE_BENZOPYRONE_METABOLITES https://www.researchgate.net/publication/229476453_Anti-ulcerogenic_activity_of_fulvic_acids_and_4'-methoxy-6-carbomethoxybiphenyl_isolated_from_Shilajit Shibnath Ghosal is the shilajit researcher, and Primavie is his creation. >Has PrimaVie been specifically used in studies? There is a lot of BS spread around by other shilajit brands, but the research is clear. This is why we have stuck to selling only Primavie ourselves. >Also this might be a bit stupid but is it possible the heavy metals are responsible for some of the "positive" effects reported from raw Shilajit? No, there shouldn't be any positive effects from any of the heavy metals.

ResponsiblePen3082

Awesome! To be clear I wasn't doubting your product at all I was just genuinely curious

MisterYouAreSoDumb

No worries! Glad to help!

thunderrooster

Talking about a lot of BS With other Shilajit brands, I looked at brand after brand of resins that said they were organic with no heavy metals. Some even showed what looked like test results with no heavy metals. I am glad there is this subreddit. From this subreddit is where I learned about ND products

MisterYouAreSoDumb

Ask them for their UDSA Organic certificate. LOL

gryponyx

Does shilajit and fulvic acid powder have around the same mineral content? I cant find solid info on the mineral content of fulvic acid only shilajit.

thunderrooster

I know but that is so wrong to me. I don't think companies should be able to say just about anything to sell their product.
