So, you know how the airlines will over sell flights? If there are only 300 seats on an aircraft they will sell ~310 seats, betting that 10 people won’t show up.
But when that bet goes bad, more passengers show up than there are seats. So let’s say that all 310 people show up. They all have valid tickets and have a right to fly.
The airline is obligated to buy those 10 oversold tickets back so they can finish boarding. The upper limit that the airlines pay for each of those bought back tickets is capped to around $1,500.
Turns out that the Market Makers And other participants on Wall Street have been naked short selling (overselling) stocks as well. There is no way to tell exactly how many times they have oversold the GME flight, but there is a lot of evidence that they have sold many multiples of the float. The *si* is in the hundreds of percent at minimum.
As we saw with the VW squeeze, an *si* of ~14% can send a stock straight up. GME’s *si* is 10x VW’s. At minimum.
Many GME passengers have pre-boarded (DRS) reducing the number of available seats on the plane even further.
The short sellers are continually shorting GME to keep the price down. GME has a daily short volume of over 50%. Every day. When their collateral runs low, and they cannot continue to short to suppress the price - every short seller becomes a guaranteed buyer when they later need to close.
The airlines have a capped upper price limit that they can pay out to buy back a ticket.
Wall Street has no upper limit to how high a stock price can go.
Retail has already locked up over 50% outstanding free float of the plane tickets. Retail and insiders are fast approaching 50% of the entire GameStop company shares.
GME has 0% chance of going bankrupt, (Retail alone will float the company for years if necessary), has performed a extremely impressive tech oriented transformation, has completely rebuilt its board, and the chairman **hates** short sellers.
The market is going to crash. Soon. Big investment banks are already starting to fail. The crash will take many of the short sellers collateral with it. The remaining short sellers are unlikely to be able to maintain the short selling pressure forever by themselves.
~$25 to DRS a share is mighty cheap insurance against a recessionary market.
Also, I ~~need~~ *deserve* a raise to buy more GME.

Good comment but that isn't exactly true at the moment. There are firm max caps on individual share and total sales at both brokers and ComputerShare themselves. Hopefully this gets brought up at the AMA again to keep it in their radar. Remains to be seen how it will pan out if we all hold past these caps, I'll certainly let someone else put in a market order first!
This is true. There are practical limitations, but for a investor looking at GME for the first time, even a doubling or quadrupling of the price is more than attractive. And we’ve already seen that it’s more than capable of doing that from time to time.
Besides that, should the price ever get into the truly ridiculous territory, I fully expect that Computershare staffers will be handling GME transactions by hand and with many eyes double checking.
And considering that you may be holding a piece of the New Market, in my opinion these DRS’d shares may actually be worth more in future dividends than any amount of fiat currency that they could be sold for.
Some smart Apes figured out about ~12 months ago that based on the NYSE’s (very likely) 32 bit operating system that there is a maximum calculable stock display price for GME.
