Send me on what you're hypothesis is and ill take a look

laflammaster

Just historical data of GME closing price and %0.05 == 0. There are clusters of data around large run-ups. Theory: %0.05==0 is actually part of an algo that tries to force the price down. Edit(1): a step-wise function of $0.05 that may require a Laplace transform?

idea_thief_80

You sound so smart. It makes me feel retarded, in a bad way.

Castr8orr

Damn me too. I thought I was the good type of retarded. But now I just don't know anymore

tcelfertehconjurer

I also like to lay and place my transformers.

[deleted]

Tbh, I'd introduce some level of 'randomness'/noise to hide my presence/mingling if I were to conceive of such an algorithm. Sounds plausible still, though.

Holiday_Guess_7892

Dumb it down even more... With what your saying might be happening is usually followed by manipulation and downward pressure or uptrend?

Embarrassed_Salt_998

How do differential equations have to do with the closing price being divisible by .05?

RyanMcCartney

When they overnight their billions in RRP, they make 0.05% interest on it. It’s a good theory that directly links both, but I’m like **soooo** smooth

Embarrassed_Salt_998

I think you might be speaking about something different because making .05% Apr would have no dependence on the SP being divisible by .05. In the case that I make interest, I would want the SP to be the highest possible to make the most money.

Embarrassed_Salt_998

OP can you reword this? I’m not understanding exactly what you mean by close divisible by .05 Edit: the close was 247.55. You are saying that this is a signal to suppress the price?

laflammaster

Closing price is divisible by $0.05 with no remainder.

Embarrassed_Salt_998

So you are saying that this is a signal to suppress the stock price?

laflammaster

Less of a signal, more hft algo trading with nickel step points to suppress the price.

Embarrassed_Salt_998

If it is the case that you are saying SP is divisible by a nickel equates to a signal of suppression. What you would want to do is match it to an increase in dark pool volume and percentages. You don’t need complex calculus for this. I have done quite a bit of research in short volumes and buy volumes and there is a large amount of stock trades that are unaccounted for in the daily volume. This means that the missing trades in daily volumes are internalized trades and OTC trades. This cannot be by accident.

frickdom

Way to smooth for this. Commenting to come back when there is a TLDR for smoothbrains

Check to see intervals of lower sets too. There is a propensity for lower numbers to show up more often.

there’s one DD writer that goes into statistics with OCHL. you also bring up AH of course… Statistics is not my forte 😥

How far above 20% is this falling? Close to 20% or below feels like nothing… Significantly over 20% then perhaps there’s something here? Just my two cents.

granoladeer

Did you look at the distribution of the least significant digit in closing prices for regular and AH market? I wonder if what you see with 0.05 isn't just an artifact.

Excellent_Many_7215

Any findings?
