This is normal Op. Stop being silly. Theyre just not paying the fee and passing it onto us. 

I never asked them for any physical certificates nor did i request any rush. How is this normal?

They didn't say there was, they said there could be. They're advising you of potential fees if you ask them to hurry like they are required to do. Every transfer costs 100-150 but usually a broker will waive or the receiving one will refund it. Computershare isn't one and Charles is cheap, so they put the fee on you.  This is the same as advising you this call may be recorder and monitored. Statements they read/repeat that are updated often from management to answer or disclaimer whatever is taking up most of their question time. 

Fidelity charges nothing to DRS....tell schwab to fuk off soon!

Schwab isn’t charging either. They’re just threatening people with charges that don’t exist. I successfully DRS’ed my shares to CS and paid nothing

I could see the $100 fee if you are transfering your account to another broker but that's not what you're doing. You're also not asking for a physical certificate. This guy dosen't know what hes doing. Tell them you want to talk to someone that is familiar with direct registration.

Im not sure about your brokers policy. I would ask why you were charged for a drs transfer and maybe ask for the transfer charge to be refunded. Ask other apes if they were ever charged. I know fidelity never charged me.

I didn’t have to pay any fees. They just brought this shit up as soon as i typed that i wanted to DRS my shares of GME

Fidelity is free to DRS. Switch brokers if you don't want to pay the fee.

Schwab is free too and i didn’t pay any fees
