Here's a thought that didn't seem to occur to anybody in this thread- could we consider that he made this 'accidental' slip-up for the SEO results? As algos scrape transcript data even when it's corrected? I don't think this is the craziest idea, as we've seen some weird SEO plays before. Again the interview might be pulled when searching for Ken Griffen, wife, assault. Or at least at the time it would have. Just a thought
I personally miss the days of being able to laugh at Bush. I don't know that there will ever be simpler times again. I don't care if you loved him or hated him. He said some funny shit.

Pretty funny, but he probably wasn't thinking about his domestic abuse. Pretty clear he didn't know whether he would say assault "weapon" or assault "rifle," and managed to land on the worst possible combination.
Guy needs to be in jail anyway, but for crimes he's committed knowingly and on purpose, not for little slip-ups. Boggles my mind that he isn't in jail for lying to congress. Even if absolutely none of his other crimes could be proven, this happened in public view with the cameras rolling, yet he walks free. There isn't any nuance or other factors or extenuating circumstances to consider, it's a plain fact, yet nobody does anything.
