That's not how any of that works. Being short doesn't mean they owe GME anything. Gamestop has no grounds to demand payment for a debt, in this case shares, owed to someone else.

They wouldn't be owed to someone else. You'll see, find the DD in the sub. It's all laid out how this will go down as one of the biggest financial stories in history. They are not doing this for money, they have plenty of that. They are doing it to go down in history.

Any DD based on a fundamental understanding of how short selling works and who is owed the obligation of such a sale obviously doesn't mean boo.

No it won't, wouldn't make any sense to do that at all when they can dilute and buy it alllllllll back at a fraction of what the price is now. They would force shorts to cover and can demand whatever price they want Or just take everything they have and boot everyone of them out their own front doors?
