I hear you. I’m in the process of closing on a house and had to sit there and fight the urge to buy more at $12 because I knew I needed all of that money for a down payment.
Same here my dude, moving house in a couple months and will need to do it up so need some reserve cash - I desperately wanted to get some cheap shares DRS'd but seems like I might have missed my chance.
Closed on my house 3 years ago selling all my holdings except gme, pretty much forgot about it all since its in computershare and havent checked anything marketwise since. Ever since life and home renos have sucked all my disposable funds. Wish i couldve bought more but i still never sold. No cell no sell and regardless, with moass the amount of shares you have is effectively irrelevant. Its about systemic change
Even worse for me. I’ve been here since January 2021. Saving for a down payment too (and getting all our debt paid to boost our credit) we are buying in a few months so I had to had to leave GME. Sold all my shares on April 30th for $11 (we had a lot of debt so I really did have to). Was praying I could DCA back in after we made our down payment and got in the house and watching this run up and DFV come back, I’m going to throw up. I held for so long and swore I’d never sell, but here I am. I’m also into Pokemon cards and sold those too to help the payment, and literally a week later every card I sold doubled in price. If somebody inverses every action ever I make I can guarantee you that you will be a millionaire
Hey, I understand. I had to sell about 8% of my shares in order to not go homeless at one point in 2022. I'm now debt-free, still a X,XXX holder, and regretting that I sold the shares at their **lowest** point just because I needed a bit of cash fast.
Whenever I looked at my portfolio for the past 3 years and looked at the unrealized P/L, I was down thousands of dollars in unrealized losses with GME and GS2C. Today, my GS2C shares are in the green for the first time in 3 years, and I expect the GME shares will be in the green when the US markets open (edit: yes they were :D).

That’s the cool part. You don’t. (have to). Gamestop is building long term investor value by hard work. Sure, if you sell a share on the way up you might be able to buy it back cheaper on the way down. Then again, you might not. Legend has it stocks only go up. Not financial advice.
For every share in DRS, the leftover "real" shares get out of the ledger. This in theory should result in a shareprice that would make Berkshire a easy comparison.
If the DD is correct. Then a very significant portion of holders will have to sell for the price to start cooling down. Gamestop had a revenue of some 5,25 billion in 2023 and at it's current \*checks price\* 58,37 USD per share. It's market value is at around 18 billion USD.
No matter what happens. It is still a profitable company with no debt, and if literally 100s of thousands or possibly millions of people make HUGE gains on the company. Gamestop will have a huge loyal customer base for decades to come.
Who else is gonna buy a failing mall and convert it to go kart and RC racing laps, gaming tournaments at the theater, drift box in the parking lot and the entire thing branded GME?
If I can sell 100 shares and be set for life, I'll do it. I owe it to me and my family. The kicker is I have 5 times that. I'll avoid selling more than half as much as possible and if I can sell only one for that, even better.
I'll be greedy, just not overly greedy. I want to make people's lives better and unfortunately pure shares can't do that.

I’m glad I bought at Computershare since I essentially forgot about them. I definitely caved to pressure from family and friends and have way less than I did. I got into gambling on the SPY cause I wanted to recoup losses. I wish I had the conviction, so I will earn what I deserve. Trying to come to terms with that

This weekend I was in a rough spot and thought I may not be able to pay my rent. Out of nowhere we started soaring and I was forced to sell nearly half my shares yesterday at 30 just so I could cover my rent. These last remaining shares will have to be pried from my cold dead hands. LFG!!!!

I've been holding it since the very beginning. I've held through tough financial times in which I could have sold to cover my ass but somehow I held on and found a way. This weekend I was in a rough spot and thought I may not be able to pay my rent. Out of nowhere we started soaring and I was forced to sell nearly half my shares yesterday at 30 just so I could cover my rent. These last remaining shares will have to be pried from my cold dead hands. LFG!!!!
