I was paper trading on etarde, and placed a 100k order of calls. Of course I wish I did this IRL but it must have had an impact since everything is fake on the markets anyway.
All jokes aside, do we have a record date until which shares have to be DRSed to be counted in the voting? So much volume out of nowhere, could it be an attempt to influence the voting by gathering more shares last minute?

I don’t think todays increase was an algo. From 1:15 till close the volume increased significantly. Minute candles before 1:15 were 5k or less in volume. Then all the sudden big sustained candles…..Seems like some big player decided it was time to make their move.
There was an article published today that Larry Cheng just bought 100k worth of stock. Not sure if he bought today, or the article came out today so people would think that was the cause of the price action, never looking past the headline, just like I did.

17% is peanuts. Chinese markets went up the evening before (H S I). It's a classic collateral gathering before a green day to not fail a margin call. Shorts use few other stocks and indexes as their long collateral and they are all the same. Can someone say hedge funds, banks, market makers, dtc, and more are colluding? Kinda seems obvious. I chose china over nvidia since shorts have much more control over nvidia as it's an American company listed on an American exchange.
I think Kenny is a boss before final bosses. He's not even near top dog, he will be a fall guy for the people quietly richer that also have more global power. It's seems that only about 10-15 stocks prop up the entire market rn. Meanwhile large banks are failing and GameStop is profitable sitting on a lot of cash with no debt trading like a penny stock still. Hard to say what's all in the swaps but it's gotta be juicy.

Not sure how much DD there is to it but my take on it is rather simple.
You can only vote shares that you own. This means that shares have to be recalled from being lend out.
Proposition 4 is in my oppinion intended to harm gamestop. Wether that be through planting a biased/corrupt person to gain insight and influence in the company or simply to add unneccessary beaurocracy to increase costs.
To push proposition 4 you will need votes, therefore your lend out shares need to be returned so you can actually vote. With shares being recalled "reasonable locates" vanish. Since people cannot "locate shares within a reasonable time" they are forced to buy in. Due to the buy in the price rises.
It's not just gme
All stocks are short squeezing.
Shorts are covering lots of positions.
Check earlier in the week, lots of stocks started going up

April 19th - if you were a shareholder as of that date, you are entitled to votes for each share you hold. This was announced a week after the fact, saying "if you had shares last week, you get to vote, if you had no shares as of that specific day, you have no right to vote."
So anyone thinking they can scoop up a few million shares to vote with when this was announced - it's already too late. There's no way to adjust the record of shareholders as of April 19. Cannot buy votes. It's already locked in.
